DJ Koo enquires new property near late wife's resting place?

24 Jun - Staying in Taiwan is not enough for DJ Koo Jun-yeop, it seems, as it was recently reported that the Korean entertainer is currently looking for a residence near his wife Barbie Hsu's resting place. As reported on ET Today, sources recently claimed that the musician has been looking for a property in Jinshan district, which is close to Chin Pao San Cemetery where the late actress was laid back in May. When asked about it, a real estate agency that supposedly has been in talks with Koo declined to comment. On the other hand, Barbie's mother Huang Chun-mei said that she didn't know about Koo's plans, though added, "Koo Jun-yeop truly loves Barbie." The couple, who dated briefly in the late '90s, rekindled their romance following Barbie's divorce from businessman Wang Xiaofei and tied the knot in February 2022. In February this year, the Taiwanese actress was revealed to have passed away due to acute pneumonia. The couple were a few days short from celebrating their third anniversary. Another brick in the wall: world's largest Legoland opens in Shanghai next month

Trial operations started on Friday at the world's largest Legoland theme park in Shanghai, as the city presses ahead with its goal to boost its status as a major global tourist destination The US$550 million Legoland Shanghai Resort, located in the southwestern Jinshan district, could attract up to 2.4 million visitors a year once it officially opens on July 5, according to estimates by local government officials. The 318,000-square-metre entertainment complex – featuring eight themed areas, 75 interactive rides and a 250-room hotel – has used more than 85 million 'Lego bricks'. 'It will be yet another world-class amusement park that adds lustre to Shanghai's tourist industry,' said Li Wenjie, CEO of Shanghai Yaheng International Travel. 'The Legoland Resort's synergy with the city's Disneyland and Haichang Ocean Park will offer tourists enjoyable, unique experiences that are not available in any other Chinese city.' China's theme park capital to welcome Spider-Man, Harry Potter in tourist economy boon

Shanghai Disneyland is expanding once again, this time with a Spider-Man-themed zone that marks the amusement park's first major Marvel addition. The world's biggest Disney park began construction on the zone – its third major expansion since opening in 2016 – on Monday. It will host a Spider-Man- themed roller-coaster , and follows the opening of a Zootopia-themed attraction in 2023. In addition to Spider-Man, a new Legoland park is set to open in Shanghai in July, as well as two Harry Potter and Peppa Pig amusement parks, both scheduled to open in 2027, according to official announcements earlier. Increasing tourism demand in the world's second-biggest economy is fuelling a boom in international amusement parks in China's gateway megacity, turning Shanghai into a rising global star in themed entertainment, analysts said. The trend comes amid China's efforts to diversify its economy from an investment and export-led model to one more powered by consumption, where leisure and tourism expenditure are increasingly important. The Legoland Shanghai Resort, the world's largest amusement park inspired by the plastic bricks from Danish toymaking giant Lego Group, is set to officially open on July 5, it announced earlier this month. Spanning 318,000 square meters in the suburban Jinshan district, it will be the 11th Legoland globally and features a 250-room themed hotel designed for children, as well as 75 interactive attractions, performances and play areas across eight zones.
