Kim Soo-hyun's series "Knock-Off" halted indefinitely?
24 Apr - It was reported that Disney+'s upcoming series "Knock-Off" has now been suspended indefinitely amid the controversies surrounding its lead actor, Kim Soo-hyun. Sources stated that the production team has formally notified cast and crew of their decision to pause all filming, a few weeks after they announced the postponement of the release date. Although the crew had previously tried to adjust the schedule and complete the remaining filming, and the final script reportedly has been written up to episode 18, it has now been officially notified that "filming has been suspended indefinitely", and some actors and staff have reportedly moved on to other schedules. However, when asked about this, a Disney+ rep said that "Nothing has changed besides the existing official position." Written by Han Jung-hoon and directed by Park Hyun-seok, "Knock-Off" depicts a man's rise from office worker to counterfeit kingpin after the 1997 Asian financial crisis. The drama also co-stars Jo Bo-ah in the lead. Kim made headlines in recent months after grooming allegations were made against him by the late Kim Sae-ron's family, who claimed that Kim dated the actress since she was 15 and he 27.
