Dodgers activate RHP Luis Garcia from injured list
June 26 - The Los Angeles Dodgers activated reliever Luis Garcia from the injured list and optioned fellow right-hander Will Klein to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday. Garcia, 38, has not pitched since May 27 because of a right adductor strain. He has appeared in 26 games this season and is 2-0 with a 4.50 ERA, striking out 23 batters in 26 innings. The Dodgers are his seventh team since he debuted in 2013, and he has a career 28-28 record with a 4.16 ERA in 571 games (four starts). Klein threw two scoreless innings in the Dodgers' 8-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday, giving up two hits and striking out three. He made two appearances for the Dodgers, throwing 3 2/3 scoreless innings. Los Angeles acquired Klein, 25, in a June 2 trade that sent left-hander Joe Jacques to the Seattle Mariners. --Field Level Media

Dodgers acquire RHP Will Klein from Mariners amid bullpen shuffle
June 2 - The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired right-hander Will Klein in a trade with the Seattle Mariners on Monday in exchange for minor league left-hander Joe Jacques. The Dodgers added Klein and right-hander Ryan Loutos to the active roster in advance of Monday's series opener at home against the New York Mets, while right-hander Noah Davis was optioned to the minor leagues and right-hander Chris Stratton was designated for assignment. Klein, 25, has eight career major league appearances, all last season for the Kansas City Royals and Oakland Athletics when he had an 11.05 ERA in 7 1/3 innings of relief. He had a 7.17 ERA in 22 appearances at Triple-A Tacoma this season. Loutos, 26, was recalled after he had one appearance with the Dodgers earlier this season, when he gave up two runs in one inning. He had three appearances with the St. Louis Cardinals last season and has a career 5.40 ERA in 3 1/3 innings. Davis, 28, had a 5.79 ERA in four relief appearances with the Dodgers this season, while Stratton, 34, had a 6.00 ERA in two relief appearances for Los Angeles. Jacques, 30, is 2-1 with a 5.46 ERA and one save in 25 career games (one start) with the Boston Red Sox (2023-24) and Arizona Diamondbacks (2024). Playing this season on a minor league deal, Jacques is 1-1 with a 6.04 ERA and three saves in 18 appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City. --Field Level Media

June 2 - The Seattle Mariners are acquiring left-handed reliever Joe Jacques from the Los Angeles Dodgers, the New York Post reported Monday. The return for Los Angeles was not part of the initial report. Jacques, 30, is 2-1 with a 5.46 ERA and one save in 25 career games (one start) with the Boston Red Sox (2023-24) and Arizona Diamondbacks (2024).
