Rumor: This Agatha All Along Hero Could Return in Avengers: Doomsday
A WandaVision and Agatha All Along character may join the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, according to a new report. The update hints at a surprising return. Recent comments from a longtime associate suggest Joe Locke is involved in a Marvel project. That project is currently filming in London, which aligns with Doomsday's production schedule. Avengers: Doomsday rumored to feature Joe Locke's Wiccan Joe Locke may reprise his role as Billy Maximoff in Avengers: Doomsday. Stage actor Steven Sater recently hinted at Locke's involvement, referring to a Marvel project. During a TikTok live, Sater mentioned that Locke was unavailable during a recent trip to London because 'he's doing a Marvel movie.' While Locke's involvement has not been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, Avengers: Doomsday is the only known Marvel film currently in production in London, unless certain Secret Wars scenes are also being filmed simultaneously. Locke played Wiccan in Agatha All Along (2024). In the series, he gained magical abilities and helped Agatha Harkness battle Death. The story ended with Agatha sacrificing herself and returning as a ghost to assist Billy in finding his brother, Tommy. Marvel is expected to continue that storyline in the upcoming Disney+ series Vision Quest. Locke's potential film appearance could add another layer to his arc. Leaked concept art from early 2025 reportedly showed Locke's Wiccan alongside the Young Avengers. The Russo Brothers denied that the artwork was connected to their version of Avengers: Doomsday. Still, speculation continues that the film may introduce or tease the Young Avengers. Locke himself has commented on his long-term commitment to Marvel, stating he 'signed for [his] whole life' (via The Playlist). Given that Doomsday will feature characters from across the MCU and the X-Men universe, the addition of a magic user like Wiccan could support the expanding team dynamic. Neither Marvel Studios nor Locke has addressed the comments publicly. Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is scheduled to release on December 18, 2026. Exclusive: Heartstopper's Joe Locke makes his West End debut in ‘Clarkston' – full dates and venue
Somehow still just 21 years old despite having been a serious rising star for what feels like at least a decade, Joe Locke long ago proved there was more to him than Heartstopper, the TV show that made his name. From his playfully enigmatic turn in Marvel's Agatha All Along to an excellent stage debut as an embittered teen in a dystopian future in the Donmar Warehouse's The Trials to a stint on the recent Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd, he's very much at that phase in his career where everything looks charmed. And as he continues his ascent to the big time, here comes his West End debut, which we can exclusively reveal the venue and dates for. The play is Clarkston by US playwright Samuel D Hunter, best known over here for writing the screenplay to Darren Aronofsky's Oscar-nominated The Whale. It's had fringe success in the States but it now gets its biggest outing to date as it plays a nine-week stint at the Trafalgar Theatre this autumn, in a production helmed by American director Jack Serio. Described as a 'modern frontier story', Clarkston will star Locke as Jack, a young man who heads out to the American West in an effort to rediscover himself, in a journey that obliquely reflects Lewis and Clark's great expedition. He'll co-star with fellow rising star Ruaridh Mollica, plus the wondrous Sophie Melville. It's a very promising looking show from an actor whose early stage roles have so far been as good as his screen ones. Clarkston is at Trafalgar Theatre, Sep 17-Nov 22. Priority book opens at 10am today (Sep 21) and public booking opens 10am tomorrow (Sep 22).

Joe Locke: Heartstopper star to make West End debut in Clarkston
Heartstopper star Joe Locke is to make his West End debut this autumn, in a play about two young men who bond while working night shifts at a warehouse in a rural US is currently filming the forthcoming Heartstopper movie after appearing in three series of the hit Netflix show about two classmates who fall in love, but will take on his new stage role later this 21-year-old will star in Clarkston, which follows two men in their twenties from opposite ends of the US who meet while working at told BBC News he was "so excited" for his West End debut, adding that his new role matched his desire to play "flawed characters... who have a bit of bite". Clarkston is written by Samuel D Hunter, who is best known for his 2012 play The Whale, which later won Brendan Fraser an Oscar when made into a have not yet announced the venue or run dates for the British production, but told the BBC it would open in a West End theatre in the in Clarkston, Washington, the play opens with a Costco employee named Chris working night shifts when he meets new hire Jake, a young gay man originally from has Huntington's disease, a degenerative neurological condition that causes involuntary movements. He ended up in Clarkston by accident after finding himself no longer able to drive during a road trip west."He's this city boy in a small place," explained Locke. "Jake has got so many layers to him that really unravel in the play. A lot of the themes are to do with class and the different experiences of the characters."Chris, meanwhile, struggles with the strained relationship he has with his mother, who is a drug addict. Locke, who is used to portraying young men grappling with their identity, explained: "I really enjoy characters that have something to them, a bit of bite, a bit of a grey area. "Everyone is flawed in some ways. And I've been lucky enough in my career so far to play a few flawed characters, and Jake is no different to that. And that's the fun bit, the meaty bit, getting to know these characters - they're good and they're bad."Hunter noted the play "is fundamentally about friendship and platonic male love, which is something that I feel like we don't see a lot of on stage and screen".Locke agreed: "Yeah, one of my favourite things about this play is there's a scene where these characters almost build on their platonic relationship and get to a romantic level, and they realise that no, the platonic relationship is what's important, and I think that's really beautiful." Clarkston, which has previously been performed alongside another of Hunter's plays, Lewiston, received positive reviews from critics when it was staged in the US."You feel like you're eavesdropping on intensely private moments of people you don't always like but come to deeply understand," said The Hollywood Reporter's Frank Scheck of a 2018 production."Toward the end, there's an encounter between Chris and his mother that is as shattering and gut-wrenching a scene as you'll ever see on stage. But the play ends on a sweet, hopeful note that sends you out of the theatre smiling."Writing about a different production in 2024, Charles McNulty of the LA Times said: "Clarkston hints that some of our most instructive relationships may be the most transitory. That's one of the beautiful discoveries in Hunter's small, absorbing and ultimately uplifting play." Anybody who has worked night shifts may relate to the idea that the early hours are a time when people often open up to each other and have have their deepest conversations. Hunter suggests such an atmosphere results in a "more delicate, more intimate" backdrop."I had an experience working in a Walmart when I was a teenager," he recalled, "and I found that places like the break room were so intimate and vulnerable, you're in this very sterilised space so I think the need for human connection is made all the greater." Hunter had the idea of writing the play when visiting his home town of Moscow Idaho, about 30 miles from Clarkson, and became interested in "the idea that the American West is still kind of young", following the Louisiana Purchase in the early 19th Century."The markers of that history are still there," noted Hunter, "but they are right next to things like Costcos and gas stations and mini-malls. "So it just got me interested in the experiment of the American West and the colonial past, and what that means in 2025."The new production will be directed by Jack Serio, who has previously directed another of Hunter's plays, Grangeville, with Ruaridh Mollica and Sophie Melville cast in the other two lead roles as Chris and his mother. Locke has previously appeared on stage at London's Donmar Warehouse, and in a Broadway production of Sweeney actor said being a theatre actor "was the thing I wanted more than anything" when growing up. "I'm from the Isle of Man," he explained, "and my birthday present every year was a trip to London with my mum to watch a few shows, so it's very full circle to bring my mum to my press night to my West End debut, it's going to be very exciting."Locke has starred in three seasons of Neflix's Heartstopper since its launch in 2022. The show followed two teenage boys, Charlie and Nick, who fall for each other at secondary school, and their circle of friends. Locke spoke to BBC News while on set, shooting the film adaptation."It's going great, we're almost two thirds of the way through shooting now, and everything, touch wood, is going well," he said."We're having a great time doing it, it's a really nice closing chapter of the story."

Heartstopper's Joe Locke and trans star Dylan Mulvaney put on a VERY cosy display at Sabrina Carpenter concert as actor wears 'Straight 4 for pay' cap after 'hard launching' their relationship with 'couple's post'
Joe Locke and Dylan Mulvaney put on a very cosy display as they attended Sabrina Carpenter's concert together at BST Hyde Park in London on Saturday evening. The Heartstopper star, 21, wore a 'straight 4 pay $' cap as he danced the night away with the trans influencer, 28, just days after 'hard launching' their relationship with a 'couples snap' on social media. Joe, who told Teen Vogue in 2023 that he had been 'openly-gay since the age of 12', was spotted throwing his arms around TikTok star and together shared a drink while chatting intently. The Marvel actor cut a low key figure for the gig in a white t-shirt and jeans which he layered with a black sweater. Meanwhile Dylan put on a very leggy display in a skimpy blue floral mini dress which she wore with matching hair clips and white heels. While the pair seemingly confirmed a romantic relationship in their recent post, many fans were convinced they were just larking around and are only pals. She captioned the post: 'First couples shoot thank you for having us at camp koko,' before Joe commented: 'Hard launch'. Fans went wild by the pair's apparent coupling: 'Wait…. Is this a hard launch?!?': 'Omg omg omg': 'loooove this angel!': 'I can't even with all the hateful comments on here. Ignore them! Love is love': 'Why is everyone taking this seriously. come on y'all use your brain': 'Hot Couple': 'OH MY GOD????!!!'. MailOnline have contacted Joe and Dylan's reps for comment. Joe, who plays gay student Charlie Spring in Netflix's Heartstopper, spoke about sexuality for the first time to Teen Vogue: 'People have assumed [I am gay] and written it, and I haven't ever corrected anyone because I haven't felt the need to. But I've never specifically stated my sexuality'. He told the publication that he knew he was gay from around the age of nine before adding: 'I have been openly gay since I was, like, 12'. Meanwhile Dylan gained notoriety through her Days of Girlhood TikTok series in 2022, where she documented her gender transition for millions of viewers. Earlier this year she published a memoir titled 'Paper Doll: Notes from a Late Bloomer' that reflects on her rise to fame and delves into some of her controversies. She sparked what researchers at Harvard Business School called 'one of the biggest boycotts in American history,' when she partnered with Bud Light in 2023. The pair couldn't keep their hands off each other while singing along to superstar Sabrina's biggest hits The Marvel actor cut a low key figure for the gig in a white T-shirt and jeans which he layered with a black sweater Dylan put on a very leggy display in a skimpy blue floral mini dress which she wore with matching hair clips and white heels The pair appeared in great spirits as they soaked up the British weather Dylan wrapped her arms around Joe during the show It comes after the pair appeared to go public with their romance after Dylan shared a sun-soaked snap of the pair attending a fashion event to her Instagram on Tuesday The backlash was swift and furious with customers staging a boycott and Kid Rock posting videos online of him shooting cases of Bud Light with a rifle. The decision to hire her is estimated to have cost Anheuser-Busch more than $1 billion in lost sales and knocked it off the number one best-selling beer spot in the US. In the book Dylan shares her experience of the so-called 'Beergate,' though she avoids mentioning Bud Light by name. Conservatives became outraged after Dylan shared a sponsored video in which she posed with cans of Bud Light that had been printed with her likeness while she wore a dress inspired by Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's. Contrary to the impression from the backlash — which included countless transphobic comments — Bud Light only made the custom cans for Dylan and never sold them publicly. However, the fact that the cans didn't exist in the wild that didn't stop conservatives and right-wing figures from vowing to boycott the beer. In her book, Dylan said she felt abandoned and 'disappointed' by the brand, adding that she 'personally felt [Bud Light] did not condemn hate toward the trans community.' Although the company didn't comment on the interview, But Light said in a in a 2023 statement: 'We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.' She also admitted that she dealt with suicidal thoughts after facing an onslaught of threats, and even stalkers. She feared that the backlash to the video had harmed the LGBTQ community. 'I would've never taken that job had I known any of those repercussions would've happened,' she said. But she told People that two years later, 'I am about a thousand times stronger than I was before that situation happened. 'I'm finally in a place that I have healed, and I'm in such a good mental headspace. I feel like I'm really ready for the world to know what that experience was like behind the scenes,' she continued. Dylan admitted that she was a 'big personality' who could be 'a little musical-theater cringey,' and she didn't claim to be for everyone. However, she hoped that more brands could follow in Bud Light's tentative footsteps to help increase trans representation. 'I really hope we will get to see beer brands in the future be inclusive and find unique and interesting ways to include others in the conversation and in marketing that maybe is tasteful and helpful in moving culture in the right direction,' she said.
