Virgin Media secures broadcast rights to Ireland's Summer Rugby Tests
Virgin Media have secured broadcasting rights for Ireland's Summer Test matches, which will see the boys in green take on Georgia and Portugal this month. Ireland face the Georgians on July 5 with Virgin Media One beginning their coverage at 5.30pm. Likewise for the Portuguese test, which takes place on July 12, coverage will begin at 6.30pm. Joe Molloy will lead VMTV's studio coverage for both fixtures, where he will be joined former Irish internationals Ian Madigan and Andrew Trimble. Dave McIntyre will be on commentary duty for the Portugal fixture, with John Forrest calling the action on the Georgia game. Ireland and Munster legend Alan Quinlan will provide co-commentary across both matches. Brian Gleeson, Head of Sport at VMTV, commented: "We're delighted to bring Irish rugby fans live and exclusive coverage of this landmark summer tour, with Paul O'Connell leading the squad and Craig Casey captaining a dynamic group of household names and emerging talent.
