Every Alabama baseball player selected in first round of MLB draft

Throughout the history of the MLB draft, the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball program has seen countless players selected. Of that group, there are a few in particular who hold a special label as a "first round pick," meaning that they were among baseball's first players to be selected during that year's draft. Joe Vitiello, Outfielder - 1991 MLB draft The lone Alabama outfielder to be selected within the first round, Joe Vitiello was taken with the No. 7 overall pick in the 1991 MLB draft by the Kansas City Royals, making him also the highest-drafted player in Crimson Tide program history. Making his MLB debut in 1995, Vitiello went on to play seven seasons in the league from 1995-2000 with the Royals and San Diego Padres, as well as in 2003 with the Montreal Expos.
