Look: Richard Nixon confronts Bill Nye in 'Futurama' Season 13 pics
July 21 (UPI) -- Hulu released first-look pictures from Futurama Season 15 on Monday. The new season premieres Sept. 15 with all episodes on Hulu, and weekly Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on FXX. In one of the stills, the preserved heads of Richard Nixon and "Science Guy" Bill Nye face off. In two more, Bender the robot wears flashy clothes. The Season 13 synopsis says "Bender is rampaging out of control!" It also mentions a volcano, a love triangle for Fry and Leela, and Dr. Zoidberg potentially going to heaven. Additional photos show the Robot Devil mixing a flaming cocktail and a fire aboard the Planet Express ship. Futurama moved to Hulu for Season 11. The show began on Fox in 1999 and returned after a period of cancellation. Later, new episodes were produced for Comedy Central. The 2023 season was set in the year 3023, so time passes in the 31st century parallel to modern day. The voices of John DiMaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil Lamar and David Herman return. ‘Futurama' Season 13 Arrives in September as a Binge Release
Futurama is back! Again! This time, at least, we knew it was coming. The series, most recently revived by Hulu, returned after 10 years in 2023—and is now renewed up through season 14. Season 13 is the next to arrive, and now we know exactly when it'll be hitting the streamer, with a new twist to its release to boot. Season 13 arrives September 15, and all 10 episodes will drop together. (Unless you prefer to watch on FXX, then you'll get two episodes per week starting September 15.) This marks a change from the previous Hulu seasons, which were weekly releases—as were, obviously, the show's previous iterations on Fox and Comedy Central. The official description doesn't tell too much, as you might expect: 'Bender is rampaging out of control! A volcano is about to explode! Fry confronts a rival for Leela's love! And Dr. Zoidberg is rising up to heaven?! The excitement might be too much! You've been warned… it's an all-new season of Futurama!' But the just-released first-look season 13 photos do reveal a bit more. Like, for instance, fan-favorite supporting character Robot Devil will be back—as will Richard M. Nixon's Head, which looks to be beefing with Bill Nye the Science Head in an upcoming story. Also, Bender is definitely having a stylishly ancient 1970s moment there. Futurama is back September 15 and that is indeed 'good news, everyone.' It stars John DiMaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil Lamar, and David Herman; it was created by Matt Groening and developed by Groening and David X. FUTURAMA: Hulu Sets Premiere Date and New Release Format for Season 13
Highlights Hulu unveiled the premiere date for Season 13 of the long-running animated comedy Futurama . Futurama The streamer will adopt a binge release instead of dropping episodes weekly. Expect all 10 episodes to debut in mid-September. Futurama Good news, everyone. Well, good news if you're a binge watcher. Futurama Season 13 is on the horizon. Hulu finally shared a premiere date for the long-running — and twice canceled — adult animated comedy from Matt Groening. However, there's a twist. Instead of the weekly release model the streamer used for Seasons 11 and 12, Season 13 will drop all episodes at once. And Dr. Zoidberg is rising up to heaven?! The excitement might be too much! You've been warned… It's an all-new season of Futurama !' Bender is at his best when he's mad and sweary, so I'm seated for that. Could his rage have any correlation to the exploding volcano? Also, why is Zoidberg going to heaven? Woop-woop-woop-woop.
