PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The most recent report from the Pine Bluff Police Department shows overall crime trending down and drops in what officials called 'several key categories.' For the month, the number of crimes reported totaled 268, down from 297 in June 2024, according to police statistics. In the June 2025 report, officials said one homicide was reported in June, down 66% year-over-year. This year in Pine Bluff, four homicides were reported in the city, with arrests made in all cases, officials said. The number of reported rapes was down 50% in June, and commercial burglary reports were down more than 63%, the report noted. Two crime categories saw a rise in June, with aggravated assault reports rising a little more than 37%, and residential burglaries saw a more than 31% hike. They continue to encourage citizens to call in reports of criminal activity. 'If you see something, say something,' PBPD Public Information Specialist John Worthen said.
