Angel Reese's brother Julian joins LeBron James in shock NBA move
The Reese Family can boast that yet another member of their clan is now a professional basketball player.
After not being selected in the 2025 NBA Draft, Maryland forward Julian Reese was able to sign an NBA contract with the Los Angeles Lakers after his name wasn't called.
Julian, who played all four years with the Terrapins, is the younger brother of WNBA star and Chicago Sky center Angel Reese. Angel got her start at Maryland as well before transferring to LSU and winning a national championship.
Not only is his sister a pro basketball player, but Julian is also set to play in the NBA alongside his cousin - New Orleans Pelicans star and former UConn national champion Jordan Hawkins.
Now, Julian joins them as he hopes to earn a roster spot along the likes of Luka Doncic and LeBron James.
In college, Julian blossomed into a consistent and highly efficient scorer with a tenacity for grabbing boards.
He averaged at least 45 percent shooting every year of college - including a 55 percent shooting line in his senior season.
Julian averaged 28.5 minutes per game across 36 contests - putting up 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game.
In his senior year with the Terrapins, Julian made the Sweet 16 before losing to eventual national champions, Florida.
In that game, he had 12 points, eight rebounds, and three assists while shooting 55.6 percent.
As for his sister, Angel is leading the WNBA in rebounds - averaging 11.9 per game, two boards more than the next-closest person on that list. She's also top-3 in steals per game.
Angel is currently the only player in the WNBA who is averaging a double-double with 11.3 points and 11.9 rebounds alongside 3.7 assists, and 1.9 steals a game.
