What are Colorado's EA Sports College Football 26 player ratings? Where the Buffs stack up
EA Sports' College Football 26 is out, and everyone can rebuild their favorite teams in dynasty or take an unheralded recruit to the Heisman in Road to Glory. We already analyzed where Colorado stands with its overall rating, but who are the Buffaloes' top-rated players? We know that offensive tackle Jordan Seaton is the top-ranked player and one of the top-ranked tackles, with a 92 overall rating. Colorado has two players with an overall rating of 90 or higher and six players with a rating of 85 or better. Here are the Buffaloes' top 25 players in EA Sports' newest sports video game, College Football 26. 1. Jordan Seaton, OT Rating: 92 overall It is no surprise to see Seaton get the top spot after a freshman All-American season in 2024. 2. Xavier Hill, OT Rating: 90 overall The transfer from Memphis should step into a starting role on Colorado's offense. In the game, Hill projects as the Buffs' starting right tackle. 3. DJ McKinney, CB Rating: 89 overall DJ McKinney can be an All-American cornerback, and his College Football 26 rating certainly backs that up. He will take over for Travis Hunter as the Buffs' top coverage cornerback. 4. Kaidon Salter, QB Rating: 88 overall Salter gets the nod as the Buffs' highest-rated quarterback. He has an impressive 90 speed rating as well as an 87 break tackle rating, which leads the team. 5. Jaheim Oatis, DT Rating: 86 Oatis came over from Alabama and is looking to entrench himself as the Buffs' top interior defensive lineman. He owns an impressive 95 strength rating, which is good for the top mark on the squad. 6. Carter Stoutmire, FS Rating: 85 Stoutmire should take over for Cam'Ron Silmon-Craig as the Buffs' top coverage safety. 7. Micah Welch, RB Rating: 83 Welch comes in as the Buffs ' top-rated running back, a position that many Colorado fans feel is lacking a true No. 1 option. 8. Samuel Okunlola, EDGE Rating: 83 Okunlola should be one of the Buffs' top pass rushers in 2025, and according to College Football 26, he is Colorado's starting right defensive end. 9. Arden Walker, EDGE Rating: 83 Right behind Okunlola is his counterpart, Arden Walker. Walker is a popular breakout pick for the Buffs after 4.5 sacks in 2024. 10. Preston Hodge, CB Rating: 82 Hodge burst onto the scene last season at Colorado's nickel cornerback before injury forced him to the final four games. College Football 26 has him listed as a safety, but he should once again be the defensive coordinator, Robert Livingston's slot defender. 11. Tyrecus Davis, CB Rating: 82 With Travis Hunter and Colton Hood no longer on the team, Tyrecus Davis could get the first crack at the starting cornerback position opposite DJ McKinney. 12. Keaten Wade, EDGE Rating: 81 Wade emerged last season as one of Colorado's better defensive players after initially planning to redshirt. He will be in the pass rush rotation once again this year. 13. Simeon Price, RB Rating: 81 Price comes to Colorado hoping to carve out a role in the Buffaloes' backfield. 14. Martavius French Rating: 81 French steps in as the Colorado Buffaloes' likely starting middle linebacker after the departures of LaVonta Bentley and Nikhai Hill-Green. 15. Dallan Hayden, RB Rating: 81 Another possible contributor to the Colorado backfield, Hayden showed flashes last year of someone who can be a talented runner. 16-25 Follow Charlie Strella on X, Threads and Instagram. Colorado's Jordan Seaton Turning Heads with Stunning Transformation
Colorado's Jordan Seaton Turning Heads with Stunning Transformation originally appeared on Athlon Sports. At 360 pounds, Jordan Seaton arrived in Boulder as a mountain of a man, raw, powerful, and full of promise. Now, just a year later, he's something entirely different: refined, explosive, and arguably the most physically prepared lineman in Deion Sanders' revamped Colorado Buffaloes locker room. Advertisement The transformation isn't just noticeable, it's undeniable. After shedding over 50 pounds under the watchful eye of strength and conditioning coach Andreu Swasey, Seaton now checks in at 305 pounds. He's leaner. He's faster. And as recent footage from Thee Pregame Show revealed, he's already in game shape, in June. 'You got to be able to do things that a person your size can't do,' Seaton said in the footage. 'You've got to do the little things better.' And he's doing just that. Blowing Past Defensive Ends in Sprints In a workout session captured earlier this month, Seaton didn't just complete three consecutive 200-yard sprints, he won them. That's not a typo. At over 300 pounds, Seaton outran lighter defensive ends in back-to-back-to-back long sprints, stunning observers and even his coaches. Advertisement The visual was jarring: the former five-star lineman, once considered too heavy to keep up, now leading from the front. Literally. A Vocal Leader Filling the Void With several veterans departing after the 2024 season, the Buffaloes' locker room needed a new voice. Seaton has stepped up. Whether it's breaking down huddles or pushing teammates in drills, he's emerged as a cornerstone of the team's culture shift. 'Expectation starts within yourself,' Seaton said of a preseason meeting with Swasey. 'We set an expectation that we want to be number one.' That self-belief is contagious, and visible. Coaches say Seaton has become the type of player who raises the bar for everyone around him. Colorado Buffaloes left tackle, Jordan Seaton Stronger, Smarter, Sharper Don't let the weight loss fool you, Seaton hasn't sacrificed power for speed. He's not just leaner physically, he's sharper mentally, more intentional with every rep. Advertisement And with Colorado's offensive line under heavy scrutiny following a revolving door at the other spots on the line, Seaton's offseason grind isn't just admirable. It's essential. Jordan Seaton isn't just ready, he's next. A sophomore with a senior's mindset, Seaton is now a foundational figure in Coach Prime's blueprint. His transformation is already rewriting narratives in Boulder. And if his words are any indication, he's not done. 'I don't want to lose to nobody, but I also want to run my own race.' Colorado fans, keep your eyes on No. 77. The big man is just getting started. Colorado official visit gives OL Xavier Payne flip option 'to think about'
The official visit slate has been a busy one for Xavier Payne this month. The Central New York native, now prepping at Miami (Fla.) Edison High School, took a midweek official visit to Colorado most recently and Coach Prime's program made a strong impression on the longtime Florida State Seminoles verbal commitment. Advertisement "It was great," Payne told Rivals. "The best part was being to sit down with the offensive line coaches and truly building that connection while getting to see their plan for me and how I fit into the program. "As I was sitting in the room it really hit me how much NFL experience is on the staff. So not only do they know how to get there because they did it, but also because they have sent so many in their years of coaching." It was the big blocker's first time in Boulder. "The main coaches with me were the entire offensive line group and mainly coach Gunnar (White)," Payne said. "The place has definitely given me some things to think about. Advertisement "I meshed really well there. Don't count them out of my recruitment." CLASS OF 2026 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2027 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State Payne even got to match wits with one of the most notable Buff players at the position in Jordan Seaton. The former five-star ran into the top recruit and something clicked. "Me and Seaton actually got on the board for a little and compared my high school plays and showed me how they would run it," he said. "We both love the game deeply and love talking football. Like him sitting with me wasn't because of the coaches, he had just popped up in the offensive line room to hang a poster up and we just hit it off." Advertisement The Freshman All-American's time with the freshman-to-be emphasized how CU could potentially utilize the versatile blocker should he choose the program. "They visualize me as a tackle and told me exactly what I have to fix to become a great tackle rather than interior," he said. "They also showed me to the drills on exactly how those issues would be fixed before college." Payne, who has also taken an official visit to Syracuse and plans to return to Florida State this weekend, says the December pledge to the Seminoles remains a strong one. "This weekend will reveal a lot," he said. "After FSU I'm done. And where I'm at is where I'm at. My recruitment will be shut down by the end of this month or early next month."

Jordan Seaton Challenged by Deion Sanders' Colorado Staff to Lead by Example
Jordan Seaton Challenged by Deion Sanders' Colorado Staff to Lead by Example originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Jordan Seaton has embraced his new leadership role at Colorado. The former five-star has become the face of the Buffs and leads by example. The latest request from his coaches shows his growth over the past year. CU strength and conditioning coach Andreu Swasey challenged the team to become 'attractive'. He explained his request and how it applies to football. Advertisement 'Become attractive men. In football, to a coach, to your teammates, being attractive is being somebody that people look up to and want to be motivated from. Be attractive men. It will help the team be more successful if you take care of yourself,' Swasey said. Seaton developed in his freshman season. There was no waiting on the sidelines with the one-time IMG Academy product starting immediately. With the absence of names like Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, CamRon Silmon-Craig, and others who have departed the program for life after college, a leadership void was expected. However, Seaton has chosen to fill that void in a big way. Some of the new Colorado players have become adjusted to live in Boulder. Every year the same thing happens. New recruits and transfers arrive in Boulder for summer camp, and some find out very quickly that the elevation and thin mountain air is a real thing. It is not uncommon for new players to face an adjustment period. In today's conditioning periods, multiple players were seen gassed and even in danger of suffering from altitude sickness. Two years ago, a viral video surfaced of former CU five-star Cormani McClain struggling to adjust with none of his teammates helping him out. Today's workout revealed Jordan Seaton has no intention of allowing that to happen. As players began to show signs of sickness, he was there for them. Terrell Timmons, Brandon Davis-Swain and Tyler Brown could be seen assisting players to catch their breath with Seaton nearby off camera. He allowed for a breather but would not accept quitting on the conditioning. 'Okay, but he's not quitting, he ain't quitting,' Seaton declared. After each run, he would check back with words of encouragement. Before too long, even those struggling pushed themselves to get back to the line to run the sprint. Before long players like Seaton and Yahya Attia were asking Swasey to 'blow it' as if they weren't interested in resting between reps. While this team under Deion Sanders has never been 'out for self', there is a strong sense of 'we' over 'me' early in this offseason. While everyone seems to be bought in on the concept, it's becoming very clear that Seaton intends to be the vocal leader of this football team. Colorado's Jordan Seaton Makes Major Personal Announcement
Colorado's Jordan Seaton Makes Major Personal Announcement originally appeared on Athlon Sports. As the Colorado Buffaloes transition into the post-Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter era, sophomore offensive tackle Jordan Seaton has quietly climbed into the spotlight. Advertisement A consensus five-star recruit out of IMG Academy, Seaton exploded onto the scene in 2024 as the first true freshman to start at left tackle in school history. Now, off the field, Seaton is making moves to solidify his star status. Wednesday, Seaton appeared on Reach The People Media's YouTube channel to reveal his next big move: hosting his own football camp back in his hometown of Washington, D.C. "Yeah, 'cause I'm going to have a camp back home and I need all the young lions," Seaton said. "This ain't no typical, you know, like your average camp. This is a one-on-one, what's in the bag, elite football camp. Like, put your family on the map. Put your name on the map. Put your city on the map." Colorado Buffaloes offensive tackle Jordan Seaton (77).© Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images Colorado's surge to a 9-4 record and Alamo Bowl berth in 2024 was fueled in large part by Deion Sanders' leadership and the growth of his son Shedeur at quarterback. Advertisement However, equally important was the role Seaton played. By season's end, he had logged more snaps (809) than any other offensive player on campus, allowing just three sacks in 612 pass-blocking snaps and earning Freshman All-American honors from On3, 247Sports, and Pro Football Focus. With both Sanders and 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Hunter having moved on to the NFL, Seaton has quickly emerged not only as a cornerstone of Colorado's offensive front but also as an unlikely face of leadership in Boulder.
