Gospel ensemble EBMQ make a musical comeback
Gospel ensemble EBMQ, full name Evangelical Best Men Quintet, have made a musical comeback. Formed by Sandisiwe Maqokolo, Mxolisi Jejane, Thembinkosi Bavuma and Mava Bafumba in 2003, EBMQ have been on a mission to popularise their modern take on traditional gospel. After the release of their album Ndilandeleni in 2020, the singers have released their new single Mangath'akekho, featuring Ziyanda Tshangana. 'Ziyanda was the perfect choice to begin this journey with. Her voice added a depth that beautifully complements the message of the song,' Sandisiwe told TshisaLIVE. ' Mangath'akekho is a reminder to hold on, to trust and to believe even in silence. Sometimes God is most present in the moments when He feels far away. The sound is spiritual, soulful and contemporary gospel. It blends traditional gospel roots with modern musicality to create something that touches the soul. It's not just for gospel fans — it's for anyone who needs comfort and reassurance.' Having been in the industry for 21 years, EBMQ are showing no signs of stopping. 'Our foundation was built in church and community choirs and what keeps us going is our mission — to minister, uplift and bring light to people's lives through song. Every testimony from someone who was touched by our music is fuel to keep going.' Thier fan-favourite remains their hit song Josefa, but despite the highlights of their career the group say their focus remains on making an impact. 'One of our proudest moments was releasing Josefa, which received overwhelming support. We've performed on great stages — TV, radio, community events, even funerals where our music brought healing. 'What we value most is the connection with people through our message. That's the real highlight. We want people to know God is with them — even in silence. Even when you think He's absent, He's working. Mangath'akekho is a reminder to trust His presence in the unseen.'

Royal Tragedy: Prince Harald Dies Just Days Before Welcoming First Child Germany's Prince Harald passed away suddenly at the age of 63, just days before he was to welcome his first child. He collapsed during a work trip to Namibia, where he was associated with the diamond industry. The heartbreaking news was shared by his wife, Princess Josefa, who is also the mayor of Leonberg. In an emotional message, she described the loss as 'deep and unexpected' and announced she would step back from public duties to grieve. Her tribute included touching photos from their brief time together. Known fondly as the 'singing mayor' for her cultural performances, Josefa had married into the historic Hohenzollern family, once rulers of the German and Prussian empires. Harald's death has left a deep void both in royal circles and among the public. 8.7K views | 4 days ago
