Former St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's deputy accused of sexual battery
ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A former patrol deputy with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office was arrested on Friday, May 16, following a workplace sexual harassment complaint.
According to the STPSO, the complaint was raised against 30-year-old Joshua Schiro for an incident which allegedly took place on Monday, May 12.
Meraux man arrested following drug investigation
The STPSO's Major Crimes Unit then reportedly investigated the situation and ended up charging Schiro, who had been with the agency since March of 2023, with sexual battery and obscenity.
Schiro was also fired, and will be booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional to sell a car
