The town team started well, and were 4-0 up after five minutes. After a very poor display against St. Martin's one week earlier, they looked to have shaken off that performance.

Davidstown-Courtnacuddy beat Oulart-The Ballagh but leave room for improvement
Striking almost as many wides as scores is something for 2022 Junior champions Davidstown-Courtnacuddy to address after Sunday's comfortable run-out against the Oulart-The Ballagh second-string in McCauley Park, Bellefield. While the manner in which they shift the ball through the field together with a host of sublime scores were undoubted highlights for M.J. Reck's charges in this Joyces Expert Intermediate 'A' hurling championship Group A round two tie, sloppy finishing has to be a cause for concern.
