Julio Sergio compares Ranieri to Ancelotti and Mourinho: 'He can get Roma to the Champions League.'
Former Roma goal-keeper Julio Sergio had high praise for his ex-coach, Claudio Ranieri, who is back to doing wonders as club head coach. In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sergio, who worked with Ranieri during Roma's Scudetto-contending year in 2010, spoke highly of the Italian technician. 'He knows how to choose the players, put them on the pitch and how to talk to them. He can give you confidence even in the worst moments.' 'He always tells the truth and that is good for a dressing room. Mourinho is someone who makes himself loved, Guardiola is someone with a precise idea of the game, Ancelotti knows how to win anywhere but Ranieri is at their level.' 'Roma can get to the Champions League just as we got to the brink of the Scudetto, there are still many points available.' 'The coach accepted this challenge only for the love of Roma, he was already retired and only those who work in football know how much pressure a role like that brings.' 'I think it is right that he becomes the club's management guide and that he can independently choose the next coach.'
