Aamir Khan calls Junaid Khan a 'nepo kid' as he recreates this iconic 'Andaz Apna Apna' scene, Azad Rao makes a cameo
Aamir Khan has been everywhere lately, actively promoting his latest film Sitaare Zameen Par. Over the past few months, he's made appearances on several popular Indian YouTube channels to spread the word. Now, six weeks after its theatrical release, the film is heading to YouTube—but instead of being free or on a subscription-based OTT platform, it will follow a pay-per-view model. Aamir launched a new YouTube channel called Aamir Khan Talkies. He said all films from his production house will eventually be available there, with some content behind a paywall and some available for free. The channel will also be a platform to support and promote work by new filmmakers. To promote this move, Aamir created a special video with his son Junaid Khan . In the promo, they recreate a memorable scene from Aamir's cult classic Andaz Apna Apna. Aamir plays the role of Deven Verma (who played his father in the original), while Junaid steps into Aamir's old role as Amar. The scene they recreate is the one where Amar convinces his father to shut down their barber shop and start a bangle business. In this new version, they use the same setting to discuss the YouTube release of Sitaare Zameen Par. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Treatment That Might Help You Against Knee Pain Knee pain| search ads Find Now Undo Aamir also humorously references some of his past flops like Thugs of Hindostan and Laal Singh Chaddha, even jokingly calling his son a 'nepo kid.' Aamir's younger son Azad makes a cameo at the end, and the original 'Andaz Apna Apna' director, Rajkumar Santoshi, also shows up. Santoshi is currently working on 'Lahore 1947' with Sunny Deol and Preity Zint, which is being produced by Aamir. At a press conference in Mumbai, Aamir explained why he chose YouTube over OTT platforms. He revealed he turned down a ₹125 crore deal from a major OTT service and said, "Almost 55 crore Indians visit YouTube in a single day. I thought that if I land on YouTube, I can showcase my content everywhere and because of UPI, all Indians can easily pay for it.' Meanwhile, on work front for Junaid. From Rajouri To Dachigam: Decoding Pakistani Module's Plan To Unleash Terror On Kashmir Valley
Last Updated: The encounter in Dachigam on July 28, neutralised not only a terror cell but a comprehensive terror syndicate that utilised cross-border support and advanced encrypted technology. Are Pakistani terror groups reviving urban guerrilla warfare tactics in Jammu and Kashmir? In the past few months, Rajouri, Poonch, and the Kashmir Valley has witnessed several terror attacks. Top security sources have told CNN-News18 that these attacks on civilians and security forces were carried out by a group of terrorists, including five Pakistanis and one local operative named Junaid, who was trained abroad. The encounter in Dachigam on Monday, July 28, neutralised not only a terror cell but a comprehensive terror syndicate that utilised cross-border support and advanced encrypted technology. These six individuals, including Junaid, have been a significant problem in the Valley, causing major disruptions and insecurity over the past year. According to top intelligence sources, they are responsible for nearly 100 killings, including civilians and Army personnel. Key attacks in Pahalgam's Baisaran and Gulmarg's Bota Pathri over the last two years, as well as in Rajouri and Poonch, have been attributed to this group. CNN-News18 Decodes The Terror Module Top intelligence sources confirm that four hardcore Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives named Suleman, Musa, Yasir (all Pakistanis), and Junaid (a local Kashmiri) infiltrated into India in 2023 through Rajouri-Poonch. Junaid acted as the local handler, providing terrain knowledge, logistics, and shelter, while the others were seasoned Pakistani infiltrators. The group successfully established Lashkar's operational base in Rajouri and Poonch, opening a new front in proxy warfare. They executed a series of deadly, high-precision attacks, including the Dera Ki Gali ambush, inflicting heavy casualties on the Indian Army. These attacks were characterised by meticulous planning, encrypted communication, and insider knowledge, which led to significant losses among Indian elite forces. After conducting four major attacks, the group altered their strategy and moved undetected via Pir Ki Gali into the Kashmir Valley, using a route traditionally not monitored for infiltration. The group split into two modules: Suleman and Junaid moved towards Gagangir in October 2024, while Musa and Yasir headed to Bootpatri (Bota Pathri). On October 20 and 24, Musa and Yasir carried out twin attacks on Army positions in Bootpatri, while Suleman and Junaid struck in Gagangir, targeting and killing engineers in their first symbolic strike in the Valley. Both modules then regrouped in the Dachigam area, where they were joined by fresh infiltrators from Pakistan -Jibran and a senior Pakistani handler codenamed Afghan Bhai. Dachigam served as their new base, where they received logistics, regrouped, and remained hidden for months. Security agencies picked up digital signatures of Musa and Yasir from Bootpatri, which helped track the group. On December 3, 2024, Junaid was killed in an encounter in Harwan–Dachigam, marking a major intelligence breakthrough. Junaid's death provided Indian agencies with deep insights into Lashkar operations, hierarchy, and movement patterns. Suleman, who escaped the encounter, joined Afghan and Jibran, continuing operations from within Dachigam. In April 2025, following orders from Pakistani handlers, they moved via Tral to Pahalgam to execute a fresh attack. After the attack, the group retreated towards Hapatnar and finally returned to Dachigam, where they were ultimately eliminated in a decisive encounter. The module operated with its own encrypted communication network, bypassing traditional telecom surveillance. Security agencies report that Suleman and Junaid's partnership was strategic, combining foreign tactical expertise with deep local ground intelligence. The group's movement from Rajouri to the Valley marks a shift in Lashkar's playbook from border-centric attacks to deep-infiltration valley-based terrorism. Intelligence believes this module was part of a new Pakistani terror groups' plan to revive urban guerrilla warfare in Kashmir using hybrid militants and foreign commanders. Pakistan to expand shipping capacity by 600% in next three years
The Ministry of Maritime Affairs has launched a major initiative to expand and modernise the national shipping fleet as part of efforts to strengthen maritime infrastructure and reduce reliance on foreign vessels. Chairing the agreements' signing meeting, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, the maritime minister, said the initiative is designed not only to cut sea freight bills and conserve foreign exchange, but also to support climate-smart maritime practices by strengthening a cleaner, more efficient domestic fleet. Junaid said Pakistan plans to increase its shipping capacity by 600% over the next three years, with a focus on incorporating greener technologies and energy-efficient vessels into the state-owned fleet, read an official statement. Pakistan's PNSC partners with Chinese firm to explore maritime investments The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and Port Qasim Authority (PQA) have signed separate agreements with the state-run Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), pledging financial support for the fleet expansion plan. The agreements were signed by A. Abdullah Zaki, representing KPT's Transition Management Committee, and Rear Admiral (R) Syed Moazzam Ilyas HI(M), Chairman of PQA, with PNSC CEO Syed Jarar Haider Kazmi. According to the statement, the accords were finalised days after a high-level policy meeting chaired by Junaid Chaudhry, in which maritime stakeholders agreed to align fleet modernisation with environmental sustainability and national climate goals outlined by the prime minister's office. KPT and PQA officials stressed that modernising the fleet would not only conserve foreign exchange and enhance trade connectivity but also significantly lower the environmental cost of sea freight by minimising fuel consumption and enabling compliance with international emission standards. 'This initiative reflects our broader vision to modernise the maritime sector, boost operational efficiency, and introduce advanced technologies across all institutions,' Junaid said, adding that the government remains committed to transparency and merit-based decision-making.

Driver robbed at knifepoint in Bhopal; 2 arrested
BHOPAL: Gautam Nagar Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested two accused who were allegedly involved in the robbery of a bike-cab driver at knifepoint near Resham Kendra in the Gautam Nagar area. According to Gautam Nagar SHO Mahendra Singh Thakur, the complainant, Maujilal Yadav, 25, originally from Betul, currently resides in Shahenshah Garden in Ashoka Garden. Pakistan eyes $850mn annual revenue from Gwadar Port via fisheries, dates
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, on Friday said that with consistent investment, strategic policymaking, and improved infrastructure, Gwadar Port has the potential to generate over $850 million annually through value-added fisheries and date exports. Chairing a high-level meeting on Gwadar Port operationalisation attended by officials from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and representatives from relevant ministries and organisations, including Gwadar Port Authority, Commerce, Industries, and Communication through Zoom, the minister laid out a comprehensive strategy to boost economic activities in Gwadar, read a statement. Gwadar Port is a deep-sea port located in Gwadar, a coastal city in Balochistan. It holds strategic and economic significance for being a vital part of the multi-billion-dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. During the meeting, Junaid emphasised that fisheries and dates are the key economic drivers of the region. ' Poor connectivity, security issues hinder Gwadar Port usage: PDP Gwadar has a rich fish catch potential, and we must focus on local value addition to maximise benefits,' he said. He pointed out that 34 fish processing units are currently operating in Balochistan, but most require technological upgrades to meet export standards. 'Transforming these units to add value through packaging and processing before exporting is critical for uplifting the sector,' he added. The minister pointed out that Balochistan's coastline makes up 76.2% of Pakistan's total coastal length, yet its fish production significantly lags behind its actual potential. 'Balochistan has an estimated annual fish catch potential of around 300,000 tons. With proper value addition, this could generate approximately $645 million each year. However, current production is nearly half of that due to limited fishing capacity, obsolete technology, and regulatory hurdles,' he shared. Stakeholders told to promote Gwadar trade routes Turning to dates production, the minister stated that Panjgur and Turbat (Kech) districts together produce over 225,000 tons of dates annually—more than half of Pakistan's total. 'With value addition, the sector can generate up to $200–$205 million in revenue each year,' he said. To support business and connectivity in the region, the minister announced steps to improve air travel. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will increase its weekly flights to Gwadar from one to three, he said. 'Two weekly flights between Gwadar and Karachi and one between Gwadar and Islamabad are under consideration.' Furthermore, the possibility of introducing a chartered flight mechanism to facilitate travel for businesspersons and investors is also under consideration, the minister added.
