Justin Bieber's ex-manager Scooter Braun breaks silence on new Swag album after settling years-long money feud

Scooter Braun has broken his silence on former client Justin Bieber 's new album. Braun and Bieber officially parted ways in 2023—a split that sent shockwaves through the music industry. Now, the former music manager—who stepped away from the role in 2024—has shared his thoughts on Bieber's latest release. Braun took to Instagram to shares his thoughts on Saturday, writing, 'Been having a beautiful start to the weekend and been getting a lot of texts about how I feel about Justin's new album.. so I will just leave this here.. 'This is without a doubt, the most authentically Justin Bieber album to date. It's beautiful, raw, and truly him. And that matters.' He continued, 'I've had the privilege of witnessing his growth for almost two decades.' 'Along every journey, there comes a time when an artist fully steps into their own — and that's what he's done here. 'He's poured his soul into this project, and you can feel it in every single run.' Braun said that Daisies is his favorite track on the record, and that Bieber's tone is the 'best in the world.' Braun continued to gush over Bieber and the album before concluding by saying he was taking his kids to see Superman. Braun discovered Bieber, 31, via his YouTube videos in 2008 when he was 13-years-old. They worked together for 15 years and parted ways due in part to the financial fallout from Justin's cancelled Justice World Tour in 2022. After Bieber cancelled his Justice tour Braun's company HYBE America helped the singer pay back $26million of the original $40million advance he received from AEG. Bieber had allegedly agreed to pay back the money over a 10-year period but allegedly stopped making payments to HYBE after the first installment. Seen here December 18, 2013 Braun also previously claimed that Bieber — who announced a new album on Thursday — owed him several million dollars in unpaid commissions. In a win for Bieber, the Grammy-winner will only have to pay Braun half of the $11million in unpaid commissions he allegedly owes him. has reached out to representatives for both Bieber and Braun for comment. The settlement news comes less than a month after TMZ claimed that Bieber was in the midst of negotiating the terms of a settlement with Braun and that the details would likely be fully hashed out within a matter of weeks. Back in May, the outlet revealed the alleged results of an independent audit performed by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) that was commissioned by Braun's entertainment company, Hybe America. The investigation, which lasted for six months, culminated in April with the determination that Bieber allegedly owed Braun $8,806,000. Although Bieber's team didn't publicly dispute the results of the PwC audit, they announced that they had conducted their own audit of his business dealings with Braun. However, they didn't share how its results compared to the independent audit. Despite the determination of Bieber's alleged debts from a third party, Braun was reportedly willing to forgive the $8 million entirely. However, TMZ's sources claimed there were still two major stumbling blocks in the way of an agreement between the two. The tour commenced in February 2022, after it was twice postponed — from 2020, and then 2021 — due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun Reach Financial Settlement

Justin Bieber has plenty of Swag, but I sure hope he's also been saving some cash. According to a new report—that just happened to drop at the same time as his first album in four years—Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun have reached a $31.5 million settlement after years of financial disputes. The singer and his former manager have been locked in a financial battle since 2023, after Scooter and his company HYBE covered the cost of Justin's canceled 2022 Justice World Tour. At the time, Justin reportedly agreed to pay HYBE back in installments, but according to People, he only made one payment and still owed $26 million as of last week. Oh, and there's more. In addition to the $26 million debt, Justin also reportedly owed Scooter $11 million in unpaid commissions from when they worked together—and per TMZ, that's on top of a $8.6 million in unpaid commissions that Scooter agreed to forfeit. On July 10, TMZ reported that Justin and Scooter had reached a financial settlement in which Justin agreed to pay Scooter $26 million to repay the advance he got for his ill-fated Justice World Tour, as well as $5.5 million for unpaid commissions, totaling $31.5 million. Neither Justin nor Scooter have publicly confirmed the settlement. News of the settlement comes after The Hollywood Reporter published a story in April, claiming that Justin was $20 million in debt after canceling his Justice World Tour in 2022 and a series of bad financial decisions. At the time, representatives for Justin denied the claims, telling The Hollywood Reporter, 'Any source that is trying to sell you a story about alleged financial doesn't understand the entertainment industry or, more likely, is trying to paint an unflattering portrait of Justin, which bears no resemblance to reality.' In a separate statement, representatives told Us Weekly that the article was nothing more than 'clickbait stupidity.' Whatever happened in the past, it's nice to see that Scooter and Justin have, at the very least, settled their financial differences. Now we can focus on what really matters, figuring out which songs on Swag are about Hailey Bieber.

Justin Bieber Releases Surprise Album "Swag"

Yara Sameh Justin Bieber has surprise-released a new album called "Swag". The album consists of 21 tracks, featuring guest appearances from a slew of artists including Dijon, Lil B, Sexyy Red, the comedian Druski, Gunna, Cash Cobain, 2 Chainz, and others. Production comes from Dijon, Knox Fortune, Daniel Caesar, and more, and a key songwriter across the album is Tobias Jesso Jr. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Bieber had been hosting 'jam sessions' at his Los Angeles home in recent months. The publication also reported that the singer decamped to Iceland to jam, 'vibe out,' and finish his album. One of the new album's collaborators, had previously spoken about his work with Bieber for a New York Times feature. 'He's searching,' the guitarist told The Times' Joe Coscarelli last year. 'Anything that comes out of his mouth: That's pop music,' he continued. 'You can really do pretty wild stuff behind that, just because it represents something.' "Swag" is Bieber's seventh studio album and first since 2021's "Justice". He launched his Justice World Tour the next year, but he had to cancel it early due to health issues. The cancellation apparently led to financial issues with his then-manager Scooter Braun, who allegedly helped Bieber cover the more than $20 million that the singer owed to the tour's promoter, AEG Presents. Bieber and Braun recently settled their dispute, according to The Hollywood Reporter and TMZ . In 2023, Bieber sold his catalog to Recognition Music Group (then known as Hipgnosis) for a reported $200 million. It marked the company's largest catalog acquisition at the time. Bieber has limited his musical output in the time since "Justice". He teamed up with SZA on 'Snooze (Acoustic),' Kehlani on 'Up at Night,' and Omah Lay on 'Attention,' to name a few of his collaborative efforts. Bieber also shared the songs 'Honest,' 'I Feel Funny,' and 'Beautiful Love (Free Fire).' The pop superstar soundtracked one of his promotional posts for "Swag" with Florida rapper Bossman Dlow's Mr Beat the Road standout 'Talk My Shit.' Is Hailey Bieber Giving Justin Silent Treatment? New Posts Spark Questions Amid Divorce Rumors

Justin Bieber recently shared a series of animated Instagram Stories that hinted at emotional distress, leading fans to wonder if there's trouble in his marriage with Hailey Bieber. The pop star posted multiple animated clips expressing anxiety, frustration, and the pain of being ignored. One clip said, 'B**** if you're giving me the silent treatment, at least tell me why! I have anxiety, and I have overthinking left and right; they go hand-in-hand. If you give me any room for error, there will be error!' These posts surfaced just as Hailey Bieber was seen without her wedding ring during the first weekend of summer. Although she was later spotted in New York City wearing the ring again, paired with a glam green satin skirt, fans noticed she has been out solo more often lately. Here's a look at the recent signs of strain Hailey and Justin have been married for seven years, but several signs suggest this could be a challenging period for them. The couple recently welcomed their first child, Jack Blues, and are adjusting to new roles as parents. Sources say this change, combined with career and health pressures, has caused stress between them. Last year, Justin canceled the remainder of his Justice World Tour after revealing he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which led to facial paralysis. He later shared on Instagram, "After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now." In addition to personal challenges, Bieber is dealing with major financial responsibilities. According to TMZ, insiders say he was close to a 'financial collapse' around 2022, prompting him to sell his music catalog to Hipgnosis Songs Capital for USD 200 million in 2023. Sources also told Puck News that Bieber still 'owes a ton' to AEG for his canceled tour and has other pop star expenses to manage. He's now working on a musical comeback with a new team, following his split from longtime manager Scooter Braun. Lawyer Michael Rhodes, who has represented Madonna and the Kardashians, is now handling his affairs.

Hailey Bieber opens up about rumours about divorce with Justin Bieber, dealing with online hate during postpartum: ‘You would think after a child…'

Hailey Bieber has a lot to say, but this will probably be the last time for her critics online, spreading rumours about her failing marriage with Justin Bieber. The model-turned-businesswoman, whose skincare and makeup line, Rhode, is one of the most successful lifestyle companies, opened up about her million-dollar business, motherhood, marriage, and rumours in a recent Vogue interview. While Hailey is extremely popular, there's no doubt that not everyone is a fan. Some online critics believe she trapped Justin Bieber and is keeping him away from his old girlfriend, Selena Gomez. We've seen hundreds of Hollywood love stories that fans obsess over slowly fade away with time, but the Jelena story, even after years, shows no sign of slowing down. In present, amid Justin's health struggles and his mental breakdown, rumours have again started taking over the buzz, but Hailey wasn't bothered by any of it this time, because she's had enough. 'I thought seven years in it would've already, and it hasn't. You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit, but no,' Bieber said. Rhode kept Hailey in the spotlight. Last August, they had their son, Jack Blues Bieber, and the couple renewed their wedding vows before that, and everything changed again — the rumours about their marriage died, but only for a brief time. The interviewer revealed that when she met Hailey back in May, tabloids were filled with headlines calling Bieber a 'mess, manic, and disengaged,' even claiming that the couple might move to Europe, and even claimed Hailey planned to sue someone over a crazy video analysing her past online. But Hailey ended those baseless claims with just, 'There's no leaving LA for us. We love it here.' 'I read that one. There's a new headline every two days that makes no sense,' she said. With rising rumours of 'trouble in Paradise,' Hailey's business was also rising. By April, report said Rhode might sell for over $1 billion. That's how Hailey went from 'Justin Bieber's wife' to a major player in beauty. But the model also wanted to be a mother after watching her sister. 'I really believe it happens exactly when it's supposed to,' she said. However, once their baby was born, Hailey said she got brutally hit with online trolls while suffering postpartum, this time the target was Justin's declining mental health. 'Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I've ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult,' she said. 'And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, 'They're getting divorced' and 'They're this' and 'They're not happy' — it is such a mindf*ck. I cannot even begin to explain it. It's a crazy life to live.' Also read: Justin and Hailey Bieber mourn grandfather Bruce Dale's death, share heartbreaking tribute: 'I can't wait to see u again soon in heaven…' Hailey and Justin got married in 2018, leaving Jelena shippers devastated, and that continued to plague the couple's life with rumours, false stories, accusing the model of copying Selena, and so on. In fact, before their kid was born, the Biebers were on the edge after Hailey's father posted online asking fans to pray for Justin, and things looked like they could break off anytime between them soon, but the couple made a strong comeback. Hailey knows that fame brings a lot of negativity. She says some people follow her just to criticise, even on the street. 'I feel like I've fought so hard to try to get people to understand me, or know who I am, or see me for me. And people just don't want to sometimes,' she said. 'And there's nothing you can do about that.' Hailey said she tried to justify her stance a few times, but now she cares less. Instead of engaging with or fighting haters or trying to explain herself, she channels her energy into her brand, Rhode and the life she's building with Justin. But, in the end, she only has one message to her haters. 'So I guess these b*tches are going to be mad.'
