Demi Lovato Is Ready to Heat Up Summer With Sizzling Preview of Dance Floor-Ready ‘Fast' Single

Demi Lovato is about to make an already steamy summer even hotter. After wiping her Instagram feed last week and hinting that something new was on the horizon, the singer dropped a preview of her dance floor-ready new single, 'Fast,' on Tuesday (July 15). 'Cuz baby honestly/ I just wanna feel your hands all over me (over and over)/ Right where they wanna be/ Even if it's only for tonight,' she sings over the song's insistent, house-like beat on a song that seems primed for high-energy remixes. In the accompanying video sneak peek, Lovato spins and seduces the camera by swiping her hands over her chest as she walks down a moonlit cityscape. She followed up with a video in which she sings those lyrics over a bubbling electronic background and a slide of her wearing an oversized grey suit jacket top in what looks like a photo shoot captioned with another lyric, 'I can't deny, it feels so right.' At press time a spokesperson for Lovato had not responded to Billboard's request for additional information on the single. In September, Lovato confirmed to Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon that she was 'working on new music' and said she was 'kind of figuring out my sound right now.' At the time she said she wasn't sure when it would be released, but promised that she was working on 'love songs and sexy songs,' which made sense since she was gearing up to marry fiancé Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes at the time; the couple tied the knot in May in California. Jutes co-wrote three songs on Lovato's most recent album, 2022's hard-hitting Holy Fvck, which hit No. 7 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Listen to the preview of Lovato's 'Fast' below. Demi Lovato and Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes are honeymooning in tropical paradise. In an Instagram post shared Monday (June 16), the singer gave fans a look inside their post-wedding vacation. One photo shows the couple kissing while enjoying dinner on the beach, while other snaps find them smooching with bright turquoise water filling up the background behind them. 'Honeymoon dump,' Lovato wrote in the caption. 'Wifey,' Jutes commented on the post, along with: 'I love u so much.' The honeymoon update comes a few weeks after the pop star and Jutes tied the knot in California in late May. Lovato has shared a number of photos from the ceremony, including many of the gorgeous Vivienne Westwood gown they walked down the aisle in. Lovato and Jutes first made their relationship Instagram official in 2022 before getting engaged in 2023. 'My love, I'm beyond excited to marry you … every day I've spent with you has been a dream come true and I can't wait to love and cherish you forever,' the former Disney Channel star wrote at the time. Lovato echoed those thoughts in February this year while sharing snaps from an Old Hollywood-themed Valentine's Day photoshoot the couple did. 'Jordan, I cannot WAIT to marry you!!' she wrote at the time. 'The past 3 years have been the best 3 years of my life and I have you to thank for that. I'm obsessed with your heart, your love and your light. I can't wait to grow old with you and start a family together. Happy Valentine's Day to the love of my life. I love you honey!!!' In addition to being life partners, Lovato and Jutes are also collaborators. The latter helped to write multiple songs on his now-wife's 2022 album Holy Fvck, which reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200. Lovato is now working on their next album, telling Jimmy Fallon last September that the next project will likely reflect the lovey-dovey phase of life the singer is in now. 'I've been writing nothing but love songs and sexy songs, because I'm in this really good place,' she said at the time. 'It feels good to be able to write coming from that place.' 'I don't know when it'll come out,' Lovato added. 'But it'll come out when I'm ready.' Demi Lovato is soaking up the sun with her husband. The 32-year-old former Disney star posted a series of photos on her Instagram from her honeymoon in paradise, which featured more than a few shots of her in various swimsuits, intermixed with photos of her posing with her new husband, singer Jutes, whose real name is Jordan Lutes. In one of the photos, Lovato can be seen smiling at the camera while standing on a boat in a red bikini top and matching red cover-up skirt, accessorizing with black sunglasses. She can later be seen wearing the same bikini while posing for a photo in the ocean, this time pairing it with high-waisted bikini bottoms. A few slides later, the actress gives the camera a sultry look as she poses in a black bikini with huts built above the ocean behind her. Another showed her in a strapless striped bikini. Other photos showed the actress and Jutes at dinner, lounging on a boat, doing silly photos for the camera, cuddling in front of the ocean, doing watersports and kissing under a rainbow. Jutes took to the comments section to share his love for the "Camp Rock" star, writing "I love u so much 🖤" and later, "Wifey 😘" Fans of the couple followed suit, also flooding the comments section with positivity. "Awe you guys look amazing together🫶🏻🫶🏻🥹 So happy for you!!" one fan wrote. Another added, "You're more beautiful and happier each day. I'm so proud of you!" A third commenter wrote, "The way every outfit slayed." Lovato and Jutes first met in the recording studio in January 2022 when the two began working together on her album, "Holy F---," and after almost two years of dating, they were engaged in December 2024, going on to tie the knot in May 2025. During the reception following their ceremony in Santa Barbara, the lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls, John Rzeznik, took the stage to perform the couple's favorite song, "Iris," for their first dance, with Lovato telling Vogue it was "surreal" and "a pinch-us moment." Rzeznik wasn't the only celebrity to perform that night, as Lovato also shared with Vogue that Paris Hilton took over as the DJ for a portion of the night. "[She] literally shook the dance floor with her DJ skills. And I mean the entire floor moved with her beats," she told the outlet.

Demi Lovato recreates Kim Kardashian lost earring scene during honeymoon with husband Jutes

Demi Lovato paid tribute to one of reality TV's most memorable moments while honeymooning with her new husband, Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes. The singer posted an Instagram reel on June 16, 2025, in which the couple reenacted the viral 2011 Keeping Up with the Kardashians scene where Kim Kardashian loses a diamond earring in the ocean. Using original audio from the iconic episode, Lovato, 32, lip-synced Kardashian's panicked lines while standing in the ocean in a cut-out swimsuit: 'My earring's gone! Oh my God, I'm gonna cry.' Jutes, 34, played the part of Kourtney Kardashian, calmly replying with the now-famous line, 'Kim, there's people that are dying.' The reel ends with Lovato walking out of the water as Jutes delivers the closing remark, perfectly mimicking the tone of the original scene. Lovato captioned the reel with a playful, 'We had to.' The clip quickly drew laughs and praise from fans in the comment section for its spot-on impersonations. The newlyweds filmed the lighthearted moment during their honeymoon following their May 25 wedding in Santa Barbara, California. She also posted a 'Honeymoon dump' on Instagram, filled with snapshots of jet-ski rides, romantic dinners, and sun-soaked beach moments. Lovato and Jutes first met in 2022 while working on her album Holy Fvck. A source told PEOPLE that Lovato is now 'very healthy both physically and mentally' after years of personal challenges, adding, 'It's wonderful that it's all behind her.' The recreated scene references the KUWTK episode 'Getting to Know You,' where Kardashian lost her earring in Bora Bora—a moment that has since become a lasting meme
