KTR pledges KCR kits to 4,910 new mothers in Sircilla under ‘Gift A Smile' campaign

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao has announced his decision to distribute KCR Kits to all 4,910 new mothers and their babies who had institutional deliveries in government hospitals in Sircilla over the last 18 months, as part of his 'GiftASmile' campaign, undertaken annually on his birthday. Taking to X, Rama Rao stated: 'The last five birthdays have been absolutely fulfilling for me personally with the launch of the #GiftASmile campaign. Year 2020 was a tough year for everyone around the globe, and healthcare required much attention. So, under 'GiftASmile', with the help of my supporters, we managed to gift a total of 108 ambulances to various government hospitals in our state. In 2021, more than 1,400 custom-made tri-wheelers were provided to differently-abled brothers and sisters who needed them. We focused on education in 2022. We managed to provide 6,000 Samsung tabs in Sircilla district. There was a significant rise in the number of students who cracked NEET/JEE and other competitive examinations—something I will definitely cherish for a lifetime. Year 2023 also focused on education. We were able to assist 116 meritorious children from the State Home, Yousufguda, providing them with high-powered i5 Dell laptops and extending all necessary support for their training and coaching. During 2024, we observed an unfortunate rise in weaver suicides in Sircilla district. Thus, last year was dedicated to helping all those families affected by such tragic deaths. This year, I want to focus on progress, hope, and life. There have been 4,910 institutional deliveries in the past 18 months in Sircilla district. Each scheme introduced by KCR is certainly life-changing. But if I have to pick a favourite, it will be the KCR Kit. What is more life-changing than life itself?' Rama Rao added that 'what started as a small idea of avoiding bouquets on birthdays has now become an annual ritual that I truly look forward to! I am eternally thankful to everyone who has been a part of 'GiftASmile'.'

BRS, Jagruthi are KCR's two eyes, says Kavitha

HYDERABAD: BRS MLC and Telangana Jagruthi founder K Kavitha condemned the Commission of Inquiry on Kaleshwaram's notice to former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). Inaugurating a new Jagruthi office near her residence in Banjara Hills on Saturday, she performed a special puja with her husband Anil Kumar and addressed the media, starting with the slogans: 'Jai Telangana, Jai KCR, Jai Jagruthi.' No BRS flags were seen during the inauguration of the office. 'BRS is KCR's one eye and Telangana Jagruthi is the other,' said Kavitha during the inauguration. She warned against attempts to malign him. Announcing a massive protest at Indira Park on June 4, she said engineers and irrigation experts will join to expose the Congress' 'conspiracy' against Telangana. She criticised the Ghose Commission as a 'Congress Commission' and questioned summoning KCR, who implemented schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima and KCR Kits. She argued that summoning him was akin to summoning the people of Telangana. Targeting CM A Revanth Reddy, the BRS MLC accused him of not honouring Telangana martyrs and demanded he participate in the June 2 State Formation Day celebrations. She questioned the naming of the 'Rajiv Yuva Vikasam' scheme and asked why it wasn't named after Telangana figures like Srikanth Chari, Yadi Reddy, or PV Narasimha Rao. Kavitha also demanded action over Andhra's alleged 200 TMC water diversion and criticised Revanth's meeting with the PM without raising BC reservation issues. She called for 42% BC reservation before local body elections. Praising Telangana Jagruthi's role since 2006, Kavitha highlighted achievements like the official celebration of Sevalal Jayanthi and installation of Dr Ambedkar's statue. Meanwhile, Kavitha announced the expansion of Jagruthi across all communities — SC, ST, BC, minorities, Adivasis, Sikhs and Christians — to fight for their rights.

KTR slams Telangana Congress govt for unfulfilled promises

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao said that the chief minister A Revanth Reddy-led Congress govt had promised to fulfil its guarantees and promises within the first 100 days of coming to power in Telangana. However, despite completing 17 months in power, many promises remain a meeting at Mittapalli village in Khammam district after unveiling the statue of Rayala Seshagiri Rao, a local leader, KTR said, "Though three ministers represent Khammam district, nothing has been done for the district. "Taking a dig at deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, the BRS working president said that Bhatti Vikramarka had made promises to the people in an affidavit, but had failed to deliver."KCR launched the Sitharama project for the people of Khammam and introduced many welfare schemes for the poor during the 10 years of BRS rule," KTR said."People voted for the Congress for a change in the last assembly elections. Congress won all the seats in United Khammam district. Now people should think whether the change they wanted was good or they should feel guilty for not supporting BRS," he alleged that after the Congress govt came to power, many welfare schemes like KCR Kits were not implemented and Rythu Bandhu funds were not released. "Rythu Bandhu, loan waiver and Shadi Mubarak were either partially implemented or completely stalled," KTR urged the people not to trust the Delhi parties — Congress and BJP — and to support the BRS in the next local body elections, likely to be held in July this minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, MP Vaddiraju Ravi Chandra, MLC Tata Madhusudhan and others attended the meeting.
