Coolie director Lokesh Kanagaraj reacts to Sanjay Dutt saying he was wasted in Leo
Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj responded to Sanjay Dutt's recent comments about being underutilised in Leo. The Bollywood actor, during the teaser launch of KD – The Devil, had said that while he loved working with Thalapathy Vijay, he was angry with Lokesh for not giving him a bigger role in the 2023 action Kanagaraj, in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, shared his side of the story. 'Sanjay sir actually called me after that event. He said to me, 'I made a very funny comment, but it got awkward after people cut it and put it on social media.' I just said, No problem, sir,' the director Clarifying that he does not deliberately sideline characters, Kanagaraj said, 'See, I'm not a genius or a great filmmaker who wouldn't write stories that overshadow other characters. I have made so many mistakes in my films, and I'm still learning.' The filmmaker also hinted at a future collaboration with Dutt.
