Hunt for the gas pump store 3 am robber

KUWAIT CITY, July 9: Criminal security personnel have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend an individual who stole merchandise worth more than KD85 from a store located within a gas station. A security source stated that investigators are considering the use of biometric fingerprint technology to confirm the suspect's identity, given the high-quality images recorded by the surveillance cameras of the store. The source pointed out that similar methods were successfully employed in a previous case. According to the case details, a Kuwaiti citizen born in 1996 -- acting in his capacity as an agent for a company operating multiple branches inside fuel stations -- filed the complaint. He reported that at approximately 3:00 am on the day of the alleged theft a man of medium height and slim build with a light complexion, wearing a black T-shirt and light gray shorts entered the store. The suspect took 10 pieces of chocolates, five tanning lotions and four lighters -- totaling KD85.600, and went out of the store without paying. The complainant submitted video evidence documenting the theft. It remains unclear whether the incident was discovered immediately by store staff or later through a review of security footage. The report did not specify whether the suspect arrived in a vehicle or whether any additional video captured the vehicle's make, model or license plate number. Security authorities continue to review the evidence and are working hard to track down the culprit.
