Smart infrastructure key to future: LITU VC Atul Vaidya

Nagpur: Smart infrastructure is the need of tomorrow, said Dr Atul Vaidya, vice-chancellor of Laxminarayan Innovation Technological University (LITU), while inaugurating the two-day international conference on Next-Generation Infrastructure: Green Technologies , Smart Cities, and Sustainable Energy Solutions at KDK College of Engineering. He emphasised infrastructure's role in development and the urgent need for innovation in urban planning , energy systems, and environmental Lal Patel, director, VNIT, highlighted sustainable energy and water management. Keynote speakers included Sudarshan Kurwadkar (California State University, USA), Manmohan Kalgal (Ultratech Cement), Putul Haldar (IIT Ropar), Vishal Thombare (Coastal Road Dept, Mumbai), and Simon Klint Bergh (COBOD International, Denmark).Valsson Varghese, principal & chair, presented the college's 40-year journey. The lamp-lighting ceremony was led by AM Badar, SR Satone, and Prof Mahendra Umare. Pallavi Bisen anchored the event. Proceedings were also unveiled during the ceremony.
