SMP 2025 Celebrates 27 Strategic Partners Including Bernama In Recognition Of Support, Commitment

BATU KAWAN, July 18 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) was among 27 strategic partners honoured at the 2025 National Unity Week (SMP) celebration tonight. National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang presented certificates of appreciation to the 27 strategic partners in recognition of their support and commitment in promoting and enlivening this year's edition of SMP. Bernama's Penang bureau chief R. Ratcharathan accepted the certificate on behalf of the agency during the Strategic Partner Appreciation certificate presentation session held at the Batu Kawan Stadium grounds here. According to the Ministry of National Unity (KPN), various forms of collaboration and support were provided by the strategic partners, including the display of programme posters at their premises, on highways, billboards and social media, as well as offering ticket discounts to tourist hotspots, lucky draw prizes, public transport facilities and fare discounts. KPN said the appreciation ceremony represented another proactive step by the ministry to promote unity values by recognising strategic partners from various sectors, including private companies, government agencies, non-governmental organisations and business operators. Besides Bernama, other recipients of the appreciation certificate tonight included the Information Department; Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM); Penang Island City Council (MBPP); Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP); Works Ministry (KKR); Langkawi Development Authority (LADA); PLUS Malaysia Berhad; AirAsia Aviation Group; and Kelab Media Mutiara Pulau Pinang. SMP 2025 features 35 exciting activities from Thursday to Sunday, including the Rumah KAMI (ethnic house) exhibition, the Kadazan Dusun and Orang Asli ethnic village, the 'Malaysia Tanah Airku' exhibition, the 'Susur Masa' exhibition by the Department of Museums Malaysia and the Malaysia Library Pavilion. Held under the theme 'Harmony in Diversity,' SMP 2025 also includes programmes such as Food Unites, MADANI Sales, handicraft and local entrepreneur product bazaars, a durian festival, Unity Run, traditional sports, e-sports tournaments, Kembara Ilmu, the Penang Book Festival, 'Wayang Pacak' (open-air movie screenings), an Boria competition, traditional costume showcases, and a traditional dance competition for primary schools. The celebration will be officially launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at 10.30 am tomorrow.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 (Bernama) -- Radio station ERA, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Unity (KPN), has launched the 'Kelas Perpaduan ERA' campaign to promote messages of racial unity through a relaxed and entertaining approach. In a joint statement today, Astro Radio and KPN said the campaign, with the slogan 'ERA Kini Erat' aims to educate Malaysians on the importance of fostering harmony, mutual respect, and tolerance in ensuring peace and shared unity. National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said the campaign aligns with the ministry's aspirations to connect with the people, particularly the younger generation, through a fresher, more relaxed, and relevant approach suited to current preferences. "This campaign strengthens ERA's role not just as an entertainment station but also as a unifying voice and the heart of Malaysians. "It proves that entertainment mediums like radio have great power in shaping perceptions, instilling values, and uniting people of various races and cultures," he said in the same statement. The statement also said that the 'Kelas Perpaduan ERA' segment is set to air every Wednesday at 9 am, highlighting and educating audiences on Malaysia's diverse cultural uniqueness. In addition, the campaign videos will be shown on ERA's YouTube channel featuring the station's presenters, such as Nabil Ahmad, Azad Jasmin, Radin Affendy, Isha Norsham, Fazziq Muqris, Syasya Nadira, Haziq Hussni, Muna Bella, Safee Sali and Syazwan Raza. Billboard advertisements will also be placed in strategic locations to promote the campaign's message and ensure it remains close to the hearts of Malaysians from all walks of life. The 'Kelas Perpaduan ERA' roadshow will also be conducted at selected schools nationwide, involving the station's presenters to engage students through knowledge sharing, personal campaigns, and interactive activities related to unity and harmony values.

KUALA TERENGGANU: The Ministry of National Unity (KPN) is targeting 10,000 school students to join the 'Inspirasi Pelajar Inovasi Muzium' (IPIM) or Museum Innovation Student Inspiration programme within one year. Its Deputy Minister, K. Saraswathy said the IPIM programme, which is being implemented in collaboration with the Department of Museums Malaysia and the Ministry of Education (MOE), aims to produce a generation that is historically and culturally literate, towards building racial unity. She said that this year, a total of 41 museums in Malaysia are involved in the implementation of the IPIM programme, including federal, state and institutional museums. 'There are five sessions in the IPIM programme, namely briefing sessions by museum officials, teaching and learning (PdP) sessions, visits to galleries, reinforcement activities and reflections to test the level of student understanding towards the sessions conducted. 'The IPIM pilot project was implemented in 2015. In 2020, there were plans for the programme to be physically implemented, but it had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 epidemic, and it resumed in 2021,' she said at the launch of the 2025 national-level IPIM Programme at the Terengganu State Museum here today. Also present was state Tourism, Culture, Environment and Climate Change Committee chairman Datuk Razali Idris. Saraswathy said that 1,680 students joined the IPIM programme that was held simultaneously at 41 museums nationwide today. 'KPN always supports efforts by any institution in Malaysia to create togetherness and unity in the country. 'KPN hopes that the IPIM programme can foster a spirit of unity and harmony, as well as diversity of the community, thus fueling a sense of love for the country,' she said.
