Zach Johnson is one of the big names included in the field for the John Deere Classic. He is coming off an 82nd spot finish at the Rocket Classic event, carding rounds of 65-73-71-74.

Johnson started his career in 1998 and has played a total of 520 events, earning a total of almost $50 million. He is 49 years old and is quickly approaching 50 years of age. With that in mind, Johnson shared his perspective on his upcoming career during press conference at the John Deere Classic on Wednesday.
"I hope I have the option of coming back here for the foreseeable future. I don't know what the future will hold." Johnson said when asked about whether he will be leaving the current tour.
"Honestly, going back to the beginning of that, a lot of what is going to transpire next year is going to be determined by the next so many odd weeks out here." He added.

Johnson has been suffering from elbow issues. He wears the KT tape to help with the pain of tennis elbow. So, he also adds physical condition as another factor in deciding his future career trajectory.

"I pay attention probably now more so to the physical side of me more so than the technical side of me. And I don't mind that," he continued.
"It's just the evolution of the game and the evolution of where I'm at as a pro. I've got a great team, great plan, great plot as to how to navigate that."
"If I can keep coming back here and playing, I'm not going to come back here necessarily just to play, I want to come back here to compete. That's what I am, first and foremost." Johnson added.
