Grab your water bottle and lace up those trainers, you're trying a new workout.
This city is packed with quirky workouts and unusual fitness classes that you absolutely have to squeeze into your schedule.
Why just stick to weights when you could be in a spin class at a rooftop pool, running wild at a parkour lesson or chilling at puppy yoga.

Quirky workouts to try in Dubai
Bound into a Kangoo class at Bodify
If you want to switch up how you get your steps in, then strap on a pair of boots at Bodify and get bouncing.
Helping improve your flexibility and burning up to 800 calories per session, expect to sweat and have a tonne of fun.

Box it out at Lucky Punch
For this class, you're strapping on your boxing gloves (and a pair of giant headphones).
Let the coaches take you through powerful combos as you sweat it out to big beats under the glow of laser lights.
In between your rounds on the bag you'll switch to the floor, where you'll be moving through some big dumbbell movements to get that heart rate up.

Crank it up at AURA Skypool

This workout is serving vibes, views and a whole lotta fun.
Held on select dates throughout the month, you can strap on a pair of headphones and let an energetic mix from the CRANK instructors blast through as you spin the hour away.
Looking out over Palm Jumeirah, the evening sessions finish with access to the skypool so you can cool off with a dip, or grab brekkie in the morning class instead.

Jump into a Parkour class
Flip, tuck and fling your way through the course at Gravity DXB, where the instructors will help you learn some key climbing and balancing techniques.
Designed for beginners, before long you'll be ducking, diving and leaping around any old room. This might only look like a spot of fun, but be prepared to work up a sweat and have your muscles aching a little in the morning.

Play a chic game of padel at Matcha Club

Padel courts don't come much cooler than this. Nestled into Al Quoz, you can enjoy a match on one of the aesthetic courts, pose up against some leafy green foliage and work up a sweat before cooling off with a strawberry matcha açaí bowl in the adjoining Nette restaurant.

Sweat it out at Dryp
Getting into your car after a day parked in the sun not hot enough for you? Challenge, accepted. Head to Dryp studio in Dubai Marina for one of the most intense yoga classes in town – we're talking hot yoga.
State-of-the-art infrared heat technology gently warms up your body (instead of the room) and comfortably maintains a consistent temperature throughout your workout.
As well as the classic 90-minute bikram yoga class that takes you through two sets of 26 postures, there's an express 60-minute version, hot vinyasa (including a hip-hop version), and candlelit hot yin classes. Time to get sweating.

This is going to work out those knots. Dubai's first roll shaper studio, Forma Project is tucked away on the Golden Mile, and it's going to get you feeling great.
The deep tissue machine will get right in there as you move between different positions, and you can even burn up to 450 calories per session.

Try underwater yoga at Atlantis

Start the day with a soothing under the sea session at The Lost Chambers Aquarium in Atlantis the Palm. Surrounded by calming blue lights and more than 65,000 marine animals, focus on your breathing and move through some sequences as sharks and stingrays sidle by.
Running early morning on the weekends, book in for sessions until it's cool enough to resurface outdoors again.

Visit some cute companions at puppy yoga
Classes don't come much cuter than this. Start the session with twenty minutes of 'proper' yoga, before the puppies come bounding into the room.
