Multi-vehicle crash in Wisconsin leaves Illinois man dead, two other seriously injured
DOVER, Wis. (WFRV) – A multi-vehicle crash in Wisconsin left an Illinois man dead and two others seriously injured on Sunday evening. According to the Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department, officials were dispatched to a reported motorcycle crash at South Beaumont Avenue near Cassandra Court in Dover, Wisconsin. Crews arrived to find two wrecked motorcycles and a GMC Terrain involved. Wisconsin woman severely injured from crashing into light post & building, caused by medical event One motorcycle had a driver and passenger, while the other was just occupied by the driver. The SUV had a driver and one passenger. All three motorcyclists suffered serious injuries, and Flight for Life helicopters were requested. Apple Alert notifies Wisconsin authorities of crash, drone used to find vehicle off road
BRIGHTON, Wis. (WFRV) – An Apple Alert notification alerted local authorities to a crash in southeast Wisconsin, where a thermal drone had to be used to find the wreck deep in a wooded area. Just after 11:30 p.m. on Friday, June 13, first responders with the Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department say they got an Apple automated crash notification alerting them to a crash near the intersection of STH 142 and 224th Avenue in Brighton. Deputies with the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office immediately responded but were not able to find the vehicle right away. Using a thermal-imaging drone, the car was found roughly 50 feet off the roadway and hidden in thick brush and multiple trees. GBPD searching for shooting suspect, victim left with life-threatening injuries First aid was immediately given to the driver before he was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Man hit by stray bullet while traveling in Wisconsin, deputies investigating
DOVER, Wis. (WFRV) – A man was hospitalized after he was shot in southeastern Wisconsin last Sunday by an errant bullet while he was a passenger in a truck that was driving in Racine County. Around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, authorities with the Racine County Sheriff's Office and Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department were called to the 2500 block of CTH N and Sunnyside Drive in the Town of Dover for reports of a person who had been shot. Wisconsin boy who overcame traumatic lawnmower injury graduates high school When first responders arrived at the scene, they found a roughly 25-year-old man who was in the front passenger seat of a pickup truck with a bullet wound. Authorities say the truck, which was towing a fishing boat, was heading north on Sunnyside Drive when a stray bullet penetrated the passenger's side front door and hit the victim. Nobody was inside the home and there were no injuries. TOWN OF BRIGHTON, Wis. - A Kenosha County home was destroyed in a fire on Thursday afternoon, May 22. What we know The fire broke just before 1 p.m. on 18th Street in the Town of Brighton. According to Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department Chief Ron Molnar, the likely cause of the fire was lithium-ion batteries in a charging unit and had exploded. However, Molnar said multiple pets were unaccounted for, and he believes they are dead. There were no fire hydrants nearby, so fire crews had to bring in around 100,000 gallons of water. It took multiple crews, even departments from Illinois, several hours to put out hot spots. At one point, responders had to bring in an excavator to dismantle the home. Molnar called it a "very significant fire." "There were reports that flames were already coming through the roof," he said. Molnar said there were reports of a "dangerous" amount of ammunition in the home, but there was no threat to the area. Numerous crews dispatched to clear fully engulfed Wisconsin house fire, cause under investigaton
UNION GROVE, Wis. (WFRV) – Numerous agencies were deployed to the scene of a house fire that fully engulfed a home in Wisconsin on Thursday night. Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department and Raymond Fire and Rescue Department Crews were dispatched together as auto-aid for Union Grove-Yorkville Fire Department shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Thursday for a reported fire on 11th Avenue in Union Grove. Wisconsin man arrested in southern Chicago suburb, officials seize ghost gun & numerous narcotics Multiple Kansasville Units responded to assist Raymond and Union Grove-Yorkville crews in suppressing the fire that fully engulfed the home. Additional resources had to be requested through the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System. The following crews joined to support: South Shore Fire Department Somers Fire and Rescue Department Burlington Fire Department In addition to the fire suppression efforts, the Racine Fire Belles joined to provide rehab for responders and WE Energies crews arrived to address electrical power and natural gas services in the area. Union Grove's Department of Public Works helped spread salt due to the ice conditions. The Burlington Fire Department and Paris Fire Rescue Department provided a change of quarters coverage as well. Racine County Sheriff's Office officials helped maintain safety on the scene while controlling who could access the area for the fire suppression efforts. Fond du Lac County residents jump from second story during fire that killed roughly 11 pets The fire crews cleared the scene around 10:30 p.m., however, the area is still closed as Racine County Fire Investigation Taskforce officials and County Sheriff's investigators look into the situation.
