Kapuso Foundation distributes school arm chairs and teachers' desks to Rizal public school
The Kapuso Foundation has distributed 35 school arm chairs and teachers desks to Catmon Elementary School in Rodriguez Rizal. Together with McDonalds Philippines, the Kapuso Foundation extended help to the public elementary school after it withstood damage from two of last year's typhoons, Carina and Enteng. Apart from repainting the four Kapuso classrooms that the Kapuso Foundation donated following 2009's Ondoy, GMA's charitable institution partnered with McDonalds Philippines to donate and distribute 35 school arm chairs that have been repurposed from old restaurant furniture. The chairs are a product of McDonalds Philippines' Reclassified Project, where old but still usable furniture are repurposed and are made stronger to help address the lack of chairs in public schools in the country. They spruced up the chairs, repainted them, and made them stronger and more comfortable for the kids. For good measure, also donated teachers' desks. "Malaking tulong ang mga upuan. Itong mga binigay niyo ay mako-complete somehow ang mga kakulangan ng paaralan pagdating sa upuan," said Catmon Elementary School Principal Madonna Evangelio. — LA, GMA Integrated News

Barbie Forteza on running, cutting her hair short, and being in her self-care era
Barbie Forteza and Boy Abunda talked about various many things on Friday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" — from professional matters like her new television project "Beauty Empire" and the upcoming film "P77" to the personal and even trivial concerns like cutting her hair short, throwing herself fully into running, and even being her self-care era. "I feel like I'm having the time of my life," Barbie tells Tito Boy. On Running: According to Barbie, running is "something I have full control of." "Sa trabaho natin, nakalatag na lahat. Pero something very personal that you have control of, that's what I get out of running. it's an escape from reality. Ang focus ko lang ay yung pace, distance, time. On Cutting Her Hair: While Barbie cut her hair for professional reasons — she wanted to make sure her character Noreen on "Beauty Empire" won't carry a shadow of herself — the Kapuso celebrity reaped personal benefits from the move. "I stepped out of my comfort zone. This is me discovering myself, starting a new era and that starts with my hair," Barbie said. "I noticed Even the way I carried myself changed, when I started wearing short hair. Mas may confidence, mas may sophistication. I've always been conformable wearing long hair, having long hair. Pirena meets Pirena! Glaiza De Castro teamed up with Lady Gagita for an Encantadia-inspired transformation shoot to celebrate the release of "Sang'gre" and Pride Month. On Instagram, the Sparkle star shared photos of her and the drag artist wearing her warrior costume as Sang'gre Pirena. "Had so much fun shooting this collab with [Lady Gagita]!
