I tried this discounted pressure washer and my patio has never looked so good
Writer Chris Hall says the Karcher pressure washer 'blasts dirt off in no time' and you don't need any patio chemicals Winter wreaks havoc on your patio and paths, leaving them covered in moss and algae growth. That's what happened to my Indian flagstone patio, leaving it green and unsightly. With the weather turning for the better, there's an easy way to clean your patio or path - but I never expected the patio cleaner accessory on this Karcher K2 pressure washer to be so effective. It's easy to clean a patio with a pressure washer as you can blast the dirt off in no time, but the water sprays everywhere, including over yourself. Using the accessory, however, those jets of water are directed exactly where you need them - over the patio. Because there's a rotating head under that yellow dome, it covers a larger area than using the jet washer's lance, so cleaning is faster, as well as less messy. The Karcher K2 Power Control Home is a great choice of pressure washer because it's great value for money, sitting in the entry-level position from the popular brand, and you can snap one up for £104 on Amazon. It's also discounted at Argos, but it costs £120, so the model at Amazon is a better bet. Karcher isn't the only pressure washer brand, with Bosch offering a 110 bar pressure washer for £67 on Amazon, although this doesn't have a patio cleaning tool. The Home kit that this Karcher comes with includes the patio cleaner, as well as detergent designed to be used directly on your patio. I've never used the detergent as I found that water alone was enough the clean the muck off my patio. There are also a couple of "lances" in the kit, allowing a wide variety of cleaning jobs to be done, from spraying down garden furniture to cleaning the car. The good thing about Karcher is that there's a wide variety of accessories for different washing tasks, like a snow foam nozzle for car cleaning. The Karcher K2 is compact and not too heavy, so it's easy to move around, you'll have to plug it into the mains and connect it to your garden hose. That just clips on using a standard connector, so I can just take the off the normal Hozelock nozzle and connect the hose directly to the pressure washer. If you're not interested in patio cleaning, you can buy the K2 without the patio tool and if you think you'll need more power, then Karcher has a full range of different models to choose from. The K2 offers a maximum pressure of 110 bar, a flow rate of 360 litres for hour and has a 1400W power rating. The Karcher model has a 4.6-star average rating out of 5, as the Amazon reviews section shows many users were happy with the washer. Where shoppers rated the model low came with the hose length, as some thought it was 'too short'. As this user said: "Works very well , but doesn't include bottle or hose for liquid detergent as in the pictures. The hose is far too short at 5 metres. I've had to order another hose at 15 metres, which I didn't expect to do." Raising a similar issue another person said: "The hose length between the washer and lance is 5 meters, but it frequently tangles with the power lead and water hose as you have to walk around the car (because of the coiling of the hose) this making it cumbersome to use."
