Guess What Makes Karishma Tanna A "Gujju Queen" - Her Love For Theplas Of Course

Karishma Tanna is a true-blue 'Gujju queen.' No, we are not making the claims, but the actress has claimed it herself. Her latest Instagram entry is nothing but clear proof that she loves authentic Gujarati food. In the video, the Scoop film star was seen vibing to the now-viral song Intaha Ho Gai Intezar Ki from the 1984 movie Sharaabi. The fun clip, however, has a culinary twist. Karishma walks inside what appears to be her vanity van, lip-syncing to the lyrics. Her team offers her a myriad of dishes, including wraps, sandwiches, salad bowls and a fruit spread. But guess what? She refuses them all only to savour a plate of thepla. This flatbread is a staple snack in Gujarat prepared with wheat flour, fenugreek leaves (methi), and lip-smacking spices. Karishma Tanna dances joyfully as she takes a scrumptious bite of the thepla, calling herself a 'Gujju queen'. The video ends with the actress blowing kisses to the paratha. The side note read, 'My love forever .. you will know it in the Reel.' A foodie at heart, it was her gastronomical adventures that stole the show in the carousel. The opening frame captured the 41-year-old holding a plate of til laddo topped with pistachios. She brought one piece of the sweet close to her mouth and her delightful expressions proved her love for Indian mithais. Next, Karishma Tanna indulged in the goodness of strawberries drizzled with gooey chocolate syrup from Chantilly cafe in Mumbai. Karsima Tanna's desi outing involved relishing muthia — a type of fried dumplings mixed with spices and veggies, popular in Gujarat. In two additional plates, there were crispy gobi and onion pakodas paired with red and green chutneys. Finally, in the last slide, Karishma enjoyed what seems to be an appestising Spanish delicacy — Flamenquin casero. This deep-fried roll is usually filled with ham and cheese. 'Random Post .. don't ask me why,' she captioned. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Karishma K Tanna (@karishmaktanna) Karsima Tanna's epicurean diaries are just so drool-worthy. Agreed?

Pratiksha Rai portrays three undercover disguises in Vasudha

The drama in Vasudha is set to hit a new high as the story takes a gripping turn. In a bold twist, Karishma (Pratiksha Rai) secures bail and walks out of prison, only to head straight back to the Chauhan house. Fueled by suspicion that her cousin and partner-in-revenge, Megha (Mandeep Kaur), has developed feelings for Devansh (Abhishek Sharma), Karishma fears their carefully laid plan against the Chauhan family may be falling apart. But she isn't returning quietly. In a daring performance, Pratiksha slips into three dramatic disguises to confront Megha—first as a Banjaran in vibrant Rajasthani attire, then a moustached male servant, and finally Megha's bua under a ghoonghat. Each look isn't just part of the plot—it spotlights Pratiksha's impressive range. Behind the scenes, these transformations were no less intense. From prosthetics and moustaches to heavy jewellery and layered makeup, each look required hours of prep, especially the male avatar shot in the heat. Yet, with grace and grit, Pratiksha delivered a performance that was not only convincing but also layered, emotional, and unforgettable. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like One of the Most Successful Investors of All Time, Warren Buffett, Recommends: 5 Books for Turning... Over time, the audience has started reacting so strongly to her actions that I often get messages saying, 'Why are you always troubling Vasudha?' (laughs). That's when I knew the character was truly making an impact. With this new track, I got the opportunity to take Karishma to another level of unpredictability and drama, donning three completely different disguises in just three days. Each look came with its own set of challenges—right from adapting to a new voice and body language to wearing heavy Rajasthani jewellery one day, and a realistic moustache and turban the next. The male disguise, especially, really pushed me to modulate my voice and change my physicality.' She added, 'It was physically and mentally exhausting, but I took it up as a challenge because these are the moments we live for as actors. What made it all worth it was the thrill of slipping into these characters and bringing Karishma's desperation and determination alive on screen. It's been one of the most challenging and exciting experiences of my journey in Vasudha—a track full of suspense, emotion, and transformation. I truly can't wait for the audience to see the drama that's about to unfold!' While Pratiksha is thrilled about exploring these bold new shades of her character, the chaos in the Chauhan household is only just beginning. With Megha discovering that Vasudha secretly wears a mangalsutra in Devansh's name, the emotional stakes are at an all-time high. Blackmail, betrayal, and long-buried secrets are about to surface. Will Vasudha (Priya Thakur) uncover Megha's hidden agenda and her plot for revenge against the Chauhan family? Kareena talks about taking Kapoor legacy forward with Karisma before Ranbir came; fans say ‘Karisma walked before…'

Jul 01, 2025 12:31 PM IST The Kapoor Khandaan is not just a family of actors. They are Bollywood royalty, who have a profound legacy behind them. Currently the members from the clan who are majorly ruling the industry include Kareena Kapoor Khan (44), her cousin brother Ranbir Kapoor (42) and his wife Alia Bhatt Kapoor (32). More often than not, RK is described as the 'chirag' of the Kapoor Khandaan, with his impactful screen presence, crazy fan-following and exciting line up of films. But in a recent interview, Kareena gave the credit of taking forward their family's legacy to herself and her sister Karisma Kapoor (51), who was the queen of hearts in the 1990s and early 2000s. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor In a chat with Barkha Dutt, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan was quoted saying, 'I think we've carried on the Kapoor legacy. It was only me and Karishma before Ranbir came in. So the two girls, actually like my mother says, they're not tigresses, they are tigers because they did take the legacy forward.' While Ranbir Kapoor began his acting journey 18 years ago, Kareena completed 25 years in the industry this year. But Karisma Kapoor was the first Kapoor woman to enter mainstream cinema 34 years ago, breaking the family's tradition of having only male stars. Is this true? byu/xyz644783 inBollyBlindsNGossip Well, netizens across social media agree with Kareena. At least partially, about how Karisma took forward the family's legacy. Under a viral Reddit thread, one fan shared, 'Karishma walked before Kareena and Ranbir could run,' whereas another agreed and wrote, 'Karishma ran before Kareena and Ranbir could crawl.' A comment read, 'Definitely…Karishma made it easier. Atleast we used to know Kareena as 'Karishma ki behen' almost all my childhood,' whereas another fan opined, '100% true! Give the girls the credit. Ranbir was declared the 'future of Bollywood' on day 1… and yes he is good actor but he didn't have to toil like Karishma had to prove her worth!' Who is your favourite Kapoor from the royal clan?

Indian Squad Announced For AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers

The group winners will qualify for the final tournament in Australia in March 2026. The Women's Asian Cup also serves as a qualifier for the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027. Chettri and his squad will arrive in Thailand on Monday evening, and will train for a week in the northern city of Chiang Mai before their first game. All matches will take place at the 700th Anniversary of Chiang Mai Stadium. The Blue Tigresses camped at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru for six weeks, and as part of their preparations for the Qualifiers, played two friendlies against Uzbekistan on May 30 and June 3, losing 0-1 on both occasions. 'I was happy with the preparations in Bengaluru," said Chettri. 'We trained for more than 40 days. The training ground and all the facilities were excellent. As far as the squad is concerned, we have a good mixture of young and senior players. Unfortunately, we had to let go of forwards like Karishma (Shirvoikar), Sandhiya (Ranganathan) and Renu due to injuries. But that's part and parcel of football. And as compared to the Pink Ladies Cup squad (in February), we have more experienced players with us now." The Indian coach tried various combinations during the two preparatory friendlies against Uzbekistan, rotating as many as eight players for the second game and handing out a total of five debuts. 'We had a clear plan for those two friendlies. We were trying to find the right combination for the qualifiers because we have to play almost four games in 13 days. Rotating players and giving them proper recovery time is important. We created many more chances in the second game as compared to the first, but the conversion was the problem, and that's what we'll work on in the coming days," said Chettri. To adjust to the more humid weather of Chiang Mai, the Blue Tigresses will arrive in the city a week before the first match against Mongolia. They will also have a five-day gap before taking on Timor Leste in the second game. 'I'm pleased with the federation for sending us early to Thailand. There is ample time for acclimatisation and recovery. In Bengaluru, the weather has been very pleasant. But Chiang Mai is quite hot and humid at this time of the year. So, this week will help us a lot in our preparation," Chettri added. RJ Karishma talks about characters, content, and creativity: "Comedy runs in the blood.."

With her endearing characters, unmatched comic timing , and everyday relatability, Karishma Gangwal, or popularly known as RJ Karishma , has emerged as one of the most beloved content creators. She started her professional journey as a radio presenter, but gradually, she found her calling in front of the camera. Her storytelling skills via multiple relatable characters have garnered a lot of appreciation. And now with her OTT debut, ' Bright भविष्य Loading ,' she has unfolded another chapter of her life. Speaking about the same, in an exclusive interview with us, she spilled the beans on juggling with multiple characters, her inspiration, and the support system. Highlighting how seamlessly she switches between multiple characters in the series, Karishma said, 'When I was 5 years old, I used to wear my mom's sarees and act in front of the mirror. Now, I feel like these things helped me prepare. Plus, all my characters have their inspiration from real people. So just mentally picturing them helps me play these roles.' From radio jockeying to digital content creation Speaking about her transition, Karishma said, 'It's been such an unexpected but fulfilling journey. I started as an RJ, and in the pandemic, I experimented with content creation. At first, I was hesitant and wasn't sure how people would react. However, the very first video I made hit a million views within 3 days.' She continued, 'I was so glad to know that people wanted to know more about the stories I was telling. From there on, being a full-time creator was always on the cards and today I'm so happy to be living my dream both on and off the camera.' As we spoke further, she enlightened us about her creative process that entails gratitude, passion, and teamwork. 'This doesn't feel like a job to me. I wake up every morning, grateful that I'm doing what I'm passionate about. Hence, switching between these roles is only a pleasure,' she mentioned, and then continued, 'Apart from this, I have a team that fills every gap and makes sure that there are consistent solutions whenever we have a brand on board.' 'I'm not the kind of person who locks herself in a room and thinks of ideas. I get my inspiration from the people around me, and that's why I keep moving out and about. Don't be surprised if we meet and after that you see a character that vaguely resembles you on my feed,' she laughed. Further, when asked who or what inspires her comedic style and storytelling approach, she had the most endearing reply - 'Believe it or not, but 'Comedy' runs in the blood of every family member of mine.' 'I hope someday you get to meet them and experience this yourself. Every single line in the simplest conversation is hilarious. When I was a kid, I used to love watching Amitji in KBC. His comedic delivery with the poker face is something I love, and I occasionally try to include it in my content,' she concluded.
