Keke Palmer Pulled Jonathan Majors Podcast Episode Because ‘People Felt It Was Insensitive'; Defends Interviewing Him: ‘I Don't Judge Nobody'
Keke Palmer recently appeared on 'The Breakfast Club' (via Entertainment Weekly) and explained why her podcast interview with Jonathan Majors was pulled before its online release. Majors was set to appear on an April episode of 'Baby, This Is Keke Palmer' during his press tour for 'Magazine Dreams.' The episode never dropped and Palmer put out an interview with rapper Kash Doll in its place, resulting in a lot of questions from fans. 'Obviously, Meagan is my girl,' Palmer said about Meagan Good, who married Majors this year. 'I've grown up loving her. She's honestly a mentor to me and a representation for all of us young Black women. I mean, I was happy for her to get married. I was excited to have the conversation.' 'You don't agree with everything they did, you don't love everything, but you got to have the conversation. You have to set the stage for them to speak and for people to watch and take what they want to take from it, so that's why I was open and excited to do the interview.' Majors was convicted of assault and harassment in a 2023 domestic violence case involving ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. He was sentenced to probation and an intervention program. The release of 'Magazine Dreams' in late March marked an acting comeback. Palmer said the team behind her podcast pulled the Majors episode 'based off of the reaction' of having Majors on as a guest, adding: 'People felt it was insensitive. I always want to be respectful and understand where everybody's coming from. If they're not going to feel like they're going to receive anything good from the interview, then okay, cool. But I sat down with the brother for us to talk and let him be heard. I mean, people sit down with serial killers.' 'I'm not comparing him to a serial killer,' Palmer continued. 'At the end of the day, I felt as a journalist, I'm supposed to talk and let the public decide how they want to feel. But that didn't get a chance to happen. I wish them all the best. I really want to say that because I don't judge nobody because I don't want to be judged. So at the end of the day, I'm happy for Meagan. I'm happy for them. Maybe one day, we get a chance to put [the podcast interview] out. I'm not sure.' Majors was found guilty in December 2023, derailing an acting career that reached new heights earlier that year with major villain roles in 'Creed III' and 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.' Majors was all set up to be the new Thanos-like villain of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kang the Conquerer. Marvel parted ways with him after the verdict. Worst dressed stars at BET Awards revealed
Machine Gun Kelly led the worst dressed at the 2025 BET Awards on Monday at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles. The singer - rocking Napoleon Dynamite curls - looked ready to take someone's order in his preppy pastel yellow shirt, matching necktie, and black trousers. The father of two also wore bizarre razor blade-style earrings. Meanwhile Inayah opted for a wrinkled purple set that failed to showcase her incredible figure. Rapper Kash Doll and former Detroit Lion Za'Darius Smith's brown leather ensembles were clearly inspired by Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake 's denim explosion on the AMAs red carpet in 2001. Machine Gun Kelly's mismatched look was paired with messy hair and strange looking razor blade inspired earrings. Inayah's look included two different shades of purple plus metallic hued platform heels - making the look too distracting. Meanwhile lovebirds Kash and Za'Darius' matching look left much to be desired when it comes to creativity. Other contenders include Tisha Campbell coordinated her burgundy mane with an oxblood-leather Anthony Lattimore gown covered in belts selected by stylist J. Bolin. The 56-year-old Little Shop of Horrors alum was attempting to recreate the late Gianni Versace's iconic black-leather belt dress he made for his sister Donatella back in 1993. Gospel singer Lucinda Moore turned heads in a black-hooded blazer draped with white fringe, embroidered skinny pants, and platform peep-toe heels which she styled herself. NFL quarterback-turned-podcaster Cam Newton took a big swing with his snug brocade vest and trousers, but was ultimately swallowed by the busy print. Rapper Dej Loaf pulled a Jayden Smith move by rocking an eccentric spiked face mask with her white pantsuit and loafers. Free Marie Wright - who was the first host of BET's 106 & Park - looked caged in a grey-and-green corseted creation, belted with a shabby corset, which was selected by stylist J. Bolin. Rapper Da Brat looked far too casual in a custom Anthony Lattimore duster over bleach-stained sweats. Divorced Sistas actress Khadeen Ellis' black mini-dress and RHOA star Drew Sidora's silver Le Thanh Hoa mini-dress both overwhelmed their petite frames with architectural flare Divorced Sistas actress Khadeen Ellis' black mini-dress and RHOA star Drew Sidora's silver Le Thanh Hoa mini-dress both overwhelmed their petite frames with architectural flare. BMF actress Michole Briana White attempted pattern-clashing in a snug pantsuit selected by stylisy Tiffany Scott-Clemente. Non-binary queer singer Kehlani's tattooed body was washed out by the archival Dior by Galliano brocade dress selected by stylist Quran Smith. Three gents at the BET Awards wearing awkward and ill-fitting suits included Lady in the Lake actor Tyrik Johnson, rapper Foggieraw, and comedian Druski. Taraji P. Henson donned an outlandish, 50ft tall caped gown onstage. The 54-year-old Oscar nominee clutched a burning bouquet of roses as she delivered a pretentious poem about divorce during Teyana Taylor 's performance at the awards ceremony honoring black excellence. 'It started as a spark and we fed it with promises. Eyes locked, "I do." Until one day, anger and rage, love shouldn't burn everything it touches,' Taraji - who relies on styling duo Wayman + Micah - stated. 'So, I walked away from the wreckage. Not because I stopped loving you, no, but because I finally understood even love is something you must escape.' Teyana - who relies on stylist Edith Donaldson-Wheeler - transformed into a bulky-looking robot in what appeared to be a direct homage to Katy Perry 's Lifetimes Tour 'K3P143' costume crafted by designer Zaldy. 2025 BET Awards Winners Album of the Year $Ome $Exy $Ongs 4 U - Drake & PartyNextDoor 11:11 Deluxe - Chris Brown Alligator Bites Never Heal - Doechii Cowboy Carter - Beyoncé Glorious - GloRilla GNX - Kendrick Lamar - WINNER Hurry Up Tomorrow - The Weeknd We Don't Trust You - Future & Metro Boomin Best Female R&B/Pop Artist Ari Lennox Ayra Starr Coco Jones Kehlani Muni Long Summer Walker SZA - WINNER Victoria Monét Best Male R&B/Pop Artist Bruno Mars Chris Brown - WINNER Drake Fridayy Leon Thomas Teddy Swims The Weeknd Usher Best Group 41 Common & Pete Rock Drake & PartyNextDoor FLO Future & Metro Boomin - WINNER Jacquees & Dej Loaf Larry June, 2 Chainz, The Alchemist Maverick City Music Best Collaboration '30 For 30' - SZA Feat.
