Jeremy Renner Says He's "Sure" That Season 2 of HAWKEYE Will Happen at Disney+ — GeekTyrant

Jeremy Renner is best known for his role as Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans were worried about Renner's health after his near-death experience in a snowplow accident two and a half years ago, as it was touch and go as to whether he would make it out alive, much less recover well enough to play a super hero again. But Renner has defied the odds and has made what he calls a 150% recovery. Now he's assuring fans that Hawkeye Season 2 is definitely on the horizon. The first season, which was released as a limited series in 2021, followed Clint/Hawkeye on a mission to get back to his family for Christmas. But when a threat from his past shows up, Hawkeye reluctantly teams up with Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), a skilled archer and his biggest fan, to unravel a conspiracy. When asked about the possibility of Season 2, Renner told Empire Magazine he's quite sure they'll 'end up doing Season 2, and do other [Marvel Studios] things.' He went on to add, 'I'm always happy to be in that world, man. I love all those guys, I love the character…And I'm happy to do it. My body's getting ready for something like that. I don't know if anybody wants to see me in tights, but my body will look good in the tights.' Renner then commented on being 'more than 150 per cent' of where he was physically prior to the snowplow incident, and added, 'Having health and wellness be such a central part of my life, that's what's gotten me back. And even as I age, I just feel stronger than I've been. 'I have some issues, and tendon issues and certain limitations of flexibility and mobility, but I spent a lot of time on getting better and stronger, and I wouldn't if I didn't get crushed.' It's good to hear that Renner is back in shape. I loved the first season of Hawkeye , and would enjoy seeing Renner and Steinfeld back in action. How about you?

Jeremy Renner Might Still Return to MCU Despite Turning Down HAWKEYE Season 2 — GeekTyrant

Jeremy Renner may not be done with Hawkeye. After reports surfaced that Renner declined Marvel Studios' offer for Hawkeye Season 2, largely due to what insiders called a lowball paycheck for a grueling 9-month shoot, many fans assumed the Avenger's MCU journey had quietly come to an end. Especially since Renner hasn't been announced for Avengers: Doomsday and Marvel appears to be dialing back on streaming shows starring their marquee heroes. According to trusted scooper Daniel Richtman, 'Marvel [is] still in talks with Jeremy Renner to come back for a season 2 of Hawkeye .' So the door isn't closed just yet. They just need to come to an agreeement. Renner himself recently addressed the situation, saying: "I think it's more the willingness to step away from things," he said, referencing his priorities post-accident. "My daughter's the priority. It's not even a choice. I'm going to be a father to my daughter. If they're going to keep shooting in London or [whatever], it's not gonna work." That said, he's not against the idea. In fact, he seems open, under the right conditions. When asked about rumors of a Raid-inspired story featuring Clint and Kate Bishop fighting Clint's brother, Barney Barton (aka Trickshot), Renner responded with a telling tease: "Maybe some of that's true in there, I don't know. We got into it a little bit storywise and stuff. Everyone was interested in it. I wouldn't want to say no to that. I think there's still a lot of ideas and they've got to figure a lot of things out." And while the potential Season 2 would likely shift more of the spotlight to Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop—especially after Season 1 handed her the bow, Renner seems to understand the value of his presence in the MCU, even if it's not in a lead role. "I'm always game to do it, man," he added. "It's a fun world, and I love being part of it. Selfishly, I like the currency of doing it because of what it means to the kids in the foundation I run." If Renner does return, it'll have to work for him on every level, financially, logistically, and personally. Until then, the future of Clint Barton remains in limbo. But it's good to know the conversation isn't over.

'Daredevil: Born Again' reveals Ms. Marvel update, sparking Young Avengers speculation in latest episode

Marvel fans watching Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ may have just caught a significant clue pointing towards the formation of the Young Avengers. In episode five of the series, Yusuf Khan (played by Mohan Kapoor), father of Kamala Khan a.k.a. Ms. Marvel, makes a surprise appearance as the assistant bank manager interacting with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox). During their conversation, Yusuf casually mentions that his daughter isn't in Jersey City—she's currently in Los Angeles 'with her friends.' Though vague, this remark instantly piqued fans' interest, especially given recent developments across the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The final scene of The Marvels saw Kamala approaching Kate Bishop in a Nick Fury-style recruitment pitch. Her cryptic question, 'Did you know Ant-Man had a daughter?' was a direct nod to Cassie Lang, another established Young Avenger. The MCU has already introduced Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), Wiccan, Speed, Eli Bradley, Kid Loki, and Cassie Lang—all core members of the comic book version of the team. Adding to the intrigue, comic lore also features the West Coast Avengers, a group that includes Kamala's current MCU allies. While the two teams are distinct, Marvel might be merging them to streamline storytelling in upcoming phases. This brief exchange in Daredevil: Born Again has fuelled speculation that the Young Avengers are not just assembling—they might already be in action. Whether or not this leads to an official team reveal, the hints are getting harder to ignore. With the multiverse concept firmly established, Marvel Studios has ample room to expand. Whether this is a direct setup or clever misdirection remains to be seen.
