I'm bringing the internet style of filmmaking to my film: Ken Royson
'I have directed a lot of music videos. Because of that, I think I can technically pull off this film easily, as it's in my ground. I can also play with VFX and the new Internet style of filmmaking, as the film is a fantasy,' says Ken. Whether it's a film or a music video, I always want to do something cool and fresh with a unique style,' remarks Ken Royson. Ken, who has directed popular music videos like Katchi Sera , Illuminati ( Aavesham ) and Jorthaale. Ken is now set to make his feature film debut with a fantasy romcom starring Kavin and Priyanka Mohan . 'I have directed a lot of music videos. Because of that, I think I can technically pull off this film easily, as it's in my ground. I can also play with VFX and the new Internet style of filmmaking, as the film is a fantasy,' says Ken. 'Nowadays, I think people like to see heartwarming and positive films. So, I wanted to do a film in this genre rather than action. Films belonging to the fantasy romcom genre have come out a lot in Tamil, but mine will be more musical,' he elaborates. Coming from a dance and music background, Ken shares that he wanted to do something 'poppy, vibrant and cool' for his debut film. 'This one will be a new-age romance drama. It is about life giving you chances and you using them the right way. The script demands a boy next door who can emotionally connect with the younger audience. And Kavin was my first choice. I also thought Kavin and Priyanka's pairing would be good. I particularly like her performance in Doctor and her dance in Golden Sparrow .' The film's shooting starts in October, he informs. Ken further says he will bring in his experience in directing music videos into the music of the film, which will be composed by OfRo. 'I'm doing everything to crack situations in the script itself to make the best music videos. The film will feature songs of Asal Kolaar and several independent artistes,' he states. He signs off by stating that even though he has ventured into direction, he is still open to helming music videos as well. 'I won't be directing any music videos until this film is done, but after that, I will be back to directing music videos as well. In fact, I hope to do music videos all my life,' he concludes. Priyanka Arul Mohan to play female lead in actor Kavin's next
Actress will play the female lead opposite actor in his upcoming film that is to be directed by Ken Royson. The film, the inaugural function of which took place in a grand fashion in the city recently, is being produced by popular production house Think Studios. Producer Swaroop Reddy is producing this yet-to-be-titled film on behalf of Think Studios. The unit has announced that details of other cast and crew members of the film, which is yet to be titled, will be officially announced shortly. The announcement has generated a lot of interest and excitement among fans and film lovers as this is the first time that actors Kavin and Priyanka Mohan are teaming up for a film. Apart from this film, actor Kavin, who is one of the fastest rising stars in the Tamil film industry, has a romantic entertainer called 'Kiss' waiting to hit screens. Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan spotted in Hyderabad The film has been directed by dance choreographer Satish. The Kiss, which was originally expected to release in March this year, was slated to hit screens in July. Kiss too has triggered great interest as it features Preeti Asrani, the actress who played the lead in director Manthira Moorthy's critically acclaimed film, 'Ayothya', as its female lead. Actress Priyanka Arul Mohan too has an interesting line up of films. Her most eagerly awaited film next would be director Sujeeth's action extravaganza 'They Call Him OG', featuring powerstar in the lead. Directed by Sujeeth, They Call Him OG is is scheduled to hit screens on September 25 this year. Apart from Pawan Kalyan and Priyanka, the film boasts a powerful ensemble with Emraan Hashmi, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy in key roles.

Kavin's next, a fantasy rom-com co-starring Priyanka Mohan, launched
Tamil actor Kavin's next, co-starring actor Priyanka Mohan, was launched today (Wednesday, July 16) with a pooja ceremony in Chennai. The film, tentatively called Kavin 09, is directed by Ken Royson, best known for helming the 2024 web series Kana Kaanum Kaalangal and the music video of singer-composer Sai Abhyankkar's hit indie track 'Katchi Sera.' The makers unveiled pictures from the pooja ceremony to announce the news. Meanwhile, Kavin, last seen in Bloody Beggar, also has Kiss, co-starring Preethi Asrani, Mask, co-starring Andrea Jeremiah, and an untitled film with Nayanthara in different stages of production.

Kavin joins hands with Thandatti director Ram Sangaiah for his next
Actor Kavin, who was last seen in Bloody Beggar, directed by Sivabalan Muthukumar, is all set to collaborate with director Ram Sangaiah of Thandatti-fame for his next film. The upcoming untitled film will be backed by S Lakshman Kumar and Venkatesh of Prince Pictures for the second time after Thandatti. More details about the cast, crew and other details are yet to be announced. Prince Pictures has previously backed several acclaimed films including Singam 2, Dev, Sardar, Kaari, Run Baby Run, Lubber Pandhu and upcoming films Mr X, Mannangatti since 1960 and Sardar 2.

Otta Nanayam (JioHotstar) Otta Nanayam is a 2005 Malayalam film directed by Suresh Kannan, featuring Dinu Dennis and Priya Mani in the lead roles. The film follows the life of a poor man who is forced to take to begging so that he can get some money to do an operation on his sick mother. It explores the lives of beggars, the exploitation of the down-trodden and how rackets are organised with those seeking alms.
