Sri Chaitanya students shine in NEET 2025
HYDERABAD: Sri Chaitanya not only achieved the highest percentage of seats in NEET but also secured the topmost ranks. In NEET-2025 results, Sri Chaitanya continued its good performance, clinching the all India first rank, 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 11th ranks in the open category, a release from Chaitanya institution said on Monday. All India Category first rank Kavish, all India open category 5th rank Divya, all India open category 6th Mohammad Sameer, all India open category 8th rank Banothu Deeraj Kumar, all India open category 10th Rank Mangari Varun, have secured remarkable scores, the release said. In addition to that, the Chaitanya students bagged: Below 10 all India ranks (all category): 5, below 100 all India ranks (open category): 19, below 100 all India ranks (all category): 56, and below 1,000 all India ranks (open category): 98. Sushma Boppana, academic CEO of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions and founder-director of Infinity Learn, congratulated the students over their achievement.

Nagpur's Nihansh takes national U-7 chess champion in stride to win Maharashtra title

In the state U-7 Open chess championship, Nihansh remained unbeaten to finish at the top of the table above national champion Kavish Bhattad, collecting 8.5 state U-7 open and girls championship organised by the Maharashtra Chess Association concluded at Pune on the nine-round, two-day championship, the Nagpur boy won eight rounds and drew the seventh-round contest with Kavish to emerge as the new Maharashtra champion with a better tie-break score. Both Nihansh and Kavish finished the tournament with 8.5 points, and based on the Buchholz Tie-Break system, the Nagpur prodigy prevailed over the national champion by 1.5 points (50 - 48.5).With 1511 Elo, Nihansh started as the fourth seed, and on his way to registering a title triumph, the seven-year-old posted six successive victories. He defeated Rivaan Mehta of Mumbai Central, Pune's Kabir Kulkarni, Ajinkya Kamble of Solapur, Jalgaon's Kabir Dalvi, Vallabh Chavan from Nashik, and Pune's Nishwanth Ramkumar to set the seventh-round top board clash with the seventh round, Nihansh utilised his opening advantage with the white pieces to split the points with Kavish. In the eighth and penultimate round, Nihansh defended well with his black pieces to get the better of Ansh Dadhich from Raigad. In the ninth and final round too, Nihansh played with the black pieces and outplayed Pune's Riaansh Pitale to finish on top of the table, collecting 8.5 points and emerging as the new Maharashtra champion.A total of 103 players from across Maharashtra participated in the tournament.
