'I've seen Sugababes live – you'd be a fool to miss out on their set at Brighton Pride'
Sugababes are set to headline the amazing Brighton Pride this weekend (Sunday, August 3), and in a time when nostalgia is really having a moment, I couldn't recommend that you go and see them more. What's more, Sugababes ' music is uplifting and empowering to the LGBTQ + community, with themes such as empowerment, self-expression, and resilience present in most of their bangers. Brighton Pride is an annual LGBTQ+ festival and parade held in Brighton, England. It is one of the largest and most popular Pride events in the United Kingdom, attracting thousands of visitors each year. The celebration typically includes a vibrant parade through the city, live music performances, community events, and a festival in Preston Park. I was lucky enough to go and see them perform at the Co-Op Live in Manchester, and they provided fun and major nostalgia in spades. Yes, they may not be as slick with choreography, but what they lack in jumping around the stage, they more than make up for in vocal prowess. When Sugababes burst onto the scene, I was barely walking and talking. But their music became such an iconic cornerstone of the crop tops, baseball caps, and dresses with jeans era, that my friends and I adored them as we made our way through primary school. I remember when 'About You Now' was released, and I downloaded it on my pink flip Nokia. That's what the Sugababes represent to me: pure nostalgia, good vibes, and no negativity. Luckily I was able to see Sugababes live recently at their Manchester show back in April, and if their Brighton Pride performance is anything like this one, you're in for a real treat: At the Manchester's Co-op Live show, Sugababes took to the stage, and the crowd roared as the original three-piece band, consisting of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhán Donaghy, performed their first song. They've always been way more known for their vocal skills than their showiness on stage, and their singing was pitch-perfect throughout the whole show. There were songs like 'Hole in the Head' and 'Red Dress,' and people were remembering the lyrics from compartments of their brains they thought were closed off from years and years ago. The audience participation was so fun, so in Brighton I'm sure you're going to be in for an even bigger treat, and Keisha even joked that they were singing live as Mutya needed a drink so she could perform to the best of her ability. Being surrounded by people who know every single song is such a privilege, and I think Sugababes fans will be out in force this weekend in Brighton. When I saw them in Manchester, however, the woman next to me did shout, 'Play push the button and right round' impatiently, showing some were there for the big bangers only. Of course, as with every good gig, the artist will save the best until last, which I assume they will do again in Brighton, and the evening ended with their best singles, 'About You Now' and 'Push the Button', which everyone will know and scream at the top of their lungs. Let's be real, most people at Brighton Pride will be OG fans, having downloaded the MP3 files of early Sugababes songs, desperately writing down the lyrics to learn them. We all pretended to be in a girl band at playtime, so if you're going to Brighton Pride this weekend, go live out your best girl band dreams.

And for the first time, I am I've been single now for like I want to say like a good part of a year and a half. And this feels so weird because I don't know how to date. 'So, this is the phase that I'm in now. And you know, I'm hoping that I connect with the girlies who had everything written down that was like by this age I'm going to have this, I'm going to do this and everything else. And we're just out here still trying to figure it out.' Keisha's video comes after the Sugababes joined fellow singers Macy Gray and Kimberley Walsh at Usher's star-studded final show at London's O2 Arena earlier this year, bringing his mammoth Past Present Future tour to its close. The King of R&B, - whose full name is Usher Terry Raymond IV - finally completed his staggering tour, after wowing crowds with his hits like Yeah, Burn, U Remind Me and OMG since August. Keisha, Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy were among the VIPs putting on edgy displays at the concert, before celebrating with Usher at his European tour wrap party at The Yeah Man. Keisha appeared to have not aged a day since shooting to fame in the girl group over two decades ago, in an effortlessly stylish all-black ensemble. She put on a leggy display in a tiny miniskirt teamed with a leather jacket and matching knee-high heeled boots. Her long raven hair was styled sleek and straight, while she accentuated her ageless beauty with a light palette of radiant makeup. Keisha revealed that she had been in a secret relationship with a Canadian man, and she had even moved out there to live with him But in the candid clip Keisha admitted that having been in several long term relationships, it was the first time she's been single for a long time (Seen with Sugababes in 2023) Keisha posed alongside bandmate Mutya, 39, who cut a typically glamorous figure in a daringly short fluffy miniskirt and bejewelled boots. Leaving little to the imagination, she paired her skirt with a sheer sparkly shirt with a plunging neckline, putting her ample cleavage on full display. Meanwhile, Siobhán, 40, opted for a more understated outfit, looking on trend in a pair of black leather trousers with silver studded details. She added a fashionable green bomber jacket over the top and trainers, while pulling her fiery red locks up into a chic updo. R&B songstress Macy, 57, looked to be having a ball at the gig and afterparty, keeping comfy in a grey hoodie and brown oversized trousers. While Girls Aloud star Kimberley, 43, opted for effortless sophistication in a chocolate brown blazer over a matching lowcut top. The mother-of-three added simple blue jeans and trainers underneath, while giving her look some added glamour with gold earrings and a radiant face of makeup. The Sugababes' appearance at the show comes after they embarked on a 'new chapter' and released their first single in two years. In March, the trio revealed their new track Jungle marking their return, after parting ways with their record label BMG to go independent. Sharing their elation at the new song, they said in a statement: 'We are so excited to release 'Jungle' and cement this new chapter for us, after what has been an incredible 3 years on the road. 'As soon as it was written, it felt like the perfect thing for people to hear first. A song about escaping the 9-5 grind, we hope everyone can let their inner animal out when they hear this!'

Dianne Buswell, who lifted the glitter ball in December with Chris McCausland, will be joining Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Katya, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Jowita Przystal in returning to the dance floor this September. Despite rumours that he might be making a return after missing out on last year's series, Giovanni Pernice will not be heading back to the ballroom this time around. Sarah James, Executive Producer, BBC Studios said : 'The excitement is already building ahead of the new series and in addition to welcoming back our fantastic returning Pros, we are looking forward to welcoming two brand new Professional Dancers to the line up who will help bring another unforgettable series of dazzling dance and loads more besides to viewers later in 2025.' As well as the pros taking part in the competition itself, all of them will be taking to the floor each week in group routines. MailOnline previously revealed that Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen will return to the BBC show this year. It was rumoured that the programme's longest-serving dancer was axed by bosses, sparking an 'ageism' row among the cast but it has been confirmed that the star, 42, will be back as normal when the series returns in September.

Lennon Gallagher keeps it causal in khaki plaid jacket as he joins a stylish Keisha Buchanan and Mia Regan at the Burberry Festival Pub Quiz
Lennon Gallagher kept it casual as he led the stars out and about at the Burberry Festival Pub Quiz in Notting Hill on Wednesday evening. The son of Liam Gallagher and Patsy Kensit opted for a khaki plaid jacket which he paired with a simple black Burberry Tee. He completed the look with a pair of dark blue oversized jeans, smart black shoes and large black sunglasses as he was seen puffing on a cigarette outside the venue. Meanwhile Mia Regan embraced a more preppy look as she paired a stylish checked playsuit with a grey short-sleeved polo jumper. Putting on a leggy display in the ensemble the model, 22, added a statement pair of dark green leather boots and black and white plaid handbag. Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan also made sure to flash plenty of skin in a black mini dress as she strode down the street. The singer, 40, covered up in a dark khaki Burberry coat with a plaid feature panel on one side. She added a pair of tortoise brown framed sunglasses, beige leather ankle boots and a white leather handbag. Keisha was joined by her fellow Sugababes Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy after the threesome recently performed at Radio 1's Big Weekend last month. Mutya, 40, put on a very busty display in a bralette top which she wore underneath a stylish cream trench coat. The singer accessorised the look with a pair of gradient lens square shades, Burberry headband and black sandals. Elsewhere Siobhán kept it more casual in a pair of light denim jeans, black T-shirt and famous Burberry trench coat. Jordan Stephens opted for a summery ensemble in beige linen trousers and a plaid shirt which he wore open over a white T-shirt which read 'Love You'. Nick Grimshaw also opted for a plaid shirt over a white T-shirt which he paired with straight legged denim jeans and shades. He completed the look with a pair of dark blue oversized jeans and smart black shoes as he was seen puffing on a cigarette outside the venue It has been a busy week for Lennon after he attended day one of Royal Ascot on Tuesday. The aspiring singer was joined by his girlfriend Isobel Richmond who opted for an elegant, pale pink slip dress tat featured floral detailing and ruffles across the shoulders. Lennon wore a grey top hat, which he teamed with a tailored jacket and a beige waistcoat by Gieves & Hawkes. As well as modelling, Lennon has also followed in his father's footsteps by making music with his band Automotion. Last year Lennon - who has graced Italian Vogue and appeared at London Fashion Week - spoke candidly to MailOnline about the world of modelling and admitted it can be 'difficult at times'. He was first scouted at the age of 16 while walking down Brick Lane and he explained: 'I was walking in Brick Lane, and I was like, 16. 'I just got an army jacket and I was walking away from the store, this woman pulled me over and was like, ''You should be a model, take this card. We have a shoot in Africa, you should do it''.' Noting the situation seemed 'sketchy', Lennon went on: 'I didn't do the shoot because it seemed really sketchy, so I told my mum and she was like, ''If you want to get into it, I know some people''.' Vogue's beauty editor Tish Weinstock flashed a hint of her toned abs in a cropped black top and shorts Lennon told how he reaches out to his agent if ever he feels unsure about a shoot or casting call. 'It's always pretty difficult putting yourself up for castings and stuff and putting yourself out there,' he stated. 'And then there's like hundreds of people who maybe look a bit like you, look so different to you, and like everyone is going in and out, and you're like, ''I'm not going to get this!''' Lennon admitted: 'You kind of do get a bit insecure, I can't lie,' before noting the importance of asking for help. 'For the context of being in the studio, if there's something you don't like you can always call your agent and they are always willing to help you out. 'They'll always try to help you out to their best ability. You're not alone.
