Former Dolphins Lineman Kendall Lamm Points Out How Eagles Culture is Better Than Miami's

Former Dolphins Lineman Kendall Lamm Points Out How Eagles Culture is Better Than Miami's originally appeared on Athlon Sports. In the 2025 offseason, the Miami Dolphins saw one of their veteran offensive lineman leave in free agency for the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. While not a big issue, as the Dolphins had plans to add at the position elsewhere, there is a new wrinkle in the departure of veteran offensive tackle Kendall Lamm. FinsXtra on Twitter/X shared a quote from Lamm from an ESPN article, where Lamm commented on what it's been like to be an Eagle. He praised the Eagles, while also throwing shade at the Dolphins. "I understand why the Eagles reached two Super Bowls in three years," Lamm said. "Players are never late, never toxic, and after every practice, the room spends 15 minutes sharing personal struggles to stay mentally sharp - something I never got with the Dolphins." This comment from Lamm on the difference between the Eagles and the Dolphins is a shot fired towards Miami and its leadership. Lamm says a lot of positive things about the Eagles, and follows it up by saying that he never had with the Dolphins. Viewing his comments as a whole, Lamm is saying that the Dolphins are sometimes late, can be toxic, and don't spend time helping players stay mentally sharp. While he may be focusing more on the last point, each of the prior two has been an issue in Miami in recent years. Lamm's commentary wouldn't be the first time culture was brought up as an issue with recent Dolphins teams. Fortunately, based on the latest reporting from players during this offseason, the culture is shifting in a positive direction. Mike McDaniel's Dolphins had a culture issue. Players referencing the culture shift effectively prove Lamm's comments as true. Lamm's shade at the team isn't surprising, and is a lot more believable with the culture change being front-and-center this offseason. While the Dolphins are undergoing culture changes, the team is still seeing the aftereffects of the poor culture recently. Jalen Ramsey is on his way out, Jonnu Smith is demanding a pay increase, and Tyreek Hill is beefing with an Olympic athlete. It's been an interesting offseason for the Dolphins, but with the changes in culture, Lamm's harsh criticism of the organization is hopefully in the rearview mirror. Eagles 'Culture' Takes New Twist After Newcomer Speaks Out

Eagles 'Culture' Takes New Twist After Newcomer Speaks Out originally appeared on Athlon Sports. It wasn't that long ago when the Philadelphia Eagles were considered a "dysfunctional" organization. Indeed, in 2020, anonymous sources pinpointed the coach and the quarterback and it led to a complete franchise reshuffle. Advertisement In 2023, just a year removed from a Super Bowl appearance, the "dysfunction" term reared its ugly head again. Philadelphia lost six of the final seven games amid consistent in-fighting between their star players. But things have changed. Winning, as it almost always seems to do, cures all. Philadelphia not only won the Super Bowl last season but also did so by being one of the tightest-knit groups in the league. Free agent offensive lineman Kendall Lamm noticed this immediately after signing with the Eagles this offseason. "I understand why the Eagles reached two Super Bowls in three years," the offensive tackle told ESPN. "Players are never late, never toxic, and after every practice, the room spends 15 minutes sharing personal struggles to stay mentally sharp - something I never got with the Dolphins." Advertisement Lamm's comments tell of an Eagles team that is singularly focused on trying to repeat this year. That kind of culture is built over time and tested through adversity. It is interesting that Lamm's defense of the Eagles culture comes this offseason, though. Yes, the Eagles won the Super Bowl last year, and yes, they are favorites to repeat this year. But two months before their triumph over the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans, the Eagles had to deal with yet another culture problem of their own. After their victory over the Carolina Panthers, A.J. Brown spoke out against the team's "passing offense" in a rare critique of his quarterback Jalen Hurts. What followed was a week-long back-and-forth between the locker room and coaching staff. Advertisement Let's not forget that in early September last season, plenty of people called for a coaching and quarterback change when the club was 2- 2. So which is it? Is Philadelphia's culture the best in the league, or are they just a couple of losses away from it completely crumbling again? The reality is that the answer can be both. When things are going well, the Eagles can be seen as a model organization, and Lamm's comments only enhance that notion. When things are off, though, Philadelphia can get into significant trouble. … just like any other team. Right now, the defending champions are doing well and riding high. But spoets fans know how quickly good faith and positivity can change at the start of a new season. Advertisement Yes, even with the Eagles. Former Dolphins' Offensive Lineman Kendall Lamm Calls Out 'Lies' Amid Attacks on Team's Culture

Former Dolphins' Offensive Lineman Kendall Lamm Calls Out 'Lies' Amid Attacks on Team's Culture originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Over the last couple of weeks, multiple reports have come out about different former and current Miami Dolphins players attacking the culture of the team. Advertisement The Dolphins have been called soft, not mentally tough, and current defensive end Bradley Chubb said the team was lying about a culture shift last year. However, one of the negative reports came from former Dolphins' offensive lineman Kendall Lamm, but Lamm says he never said any of the negative comments attributed to him about his former team. Lamm said on an Instagram post, "Someone stated that I've slammed Dolphins culture." Lamm questioned the statement in his social media post because he said he never made those comments and enjoyed his time in Miami. 'I enjoyed my time in Miami and it will be near and dear to me forever," Lamm said (h/t "When it comes to this article that's being sent, or an article that's published, unless I just completely forgot doing this, it had to be misconstrued or taken out of context because I have nothing but the most respect for everyone in Miami, and the people in Miami know that.' Advertisement Lamm spent the last three years with the Dolphins before signing a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason. The original reports came from comments Lamm made about understanding why the Eagles played in two of the last three Super Bowls. The offensive lineman mentioned players never showing up late, not being toxic, and taking extra time after practices to open up with each other about personal struggles to stay mentally sharp. Miami Dolphins place kicker Jason Sanders (7) celebrates with punter Jake Bailey (16) and offensive tackle Kendall Lamm (70) during the fourth quarter at Hard Rock Navarro-Imagn Images However, the reports claimed Lamm said this was something that he never experienced in Miami, which Lamm refuted. 'Things like this really don't bother me. Anyone can come to me and ask me the truth and I'll tell you,' Lamm said. 'When it comes to culture and all that, bro, don't put me in the middle. Don't try to spin things because you guys feel [someway] about Miami. I loved my time in Miami to tell you the truth. Please, I am not the one. I would never even speak about Miami like that. Never! Never!' Advertisement But, anyone who followed the NFL in 2024 knows that the Dolphins had numerous occasions of a lack of responsibility and issues inside the locker room last season. A season that ended with a losing record and two of its top players on either side of the ball were disgruntled. However, coming into 2025, everyone in the Dolphins building seems to be believing in a new, real culture shift. Only time will tell, but it feels like 2025 is the make-or-break year for Mike McDaniel, Tua Tagovailoa, and this current Dolphins team. Kendall Lamm praises Eagles for their culture while shading his former team

It's completely understandable if everyone hasn't thought about this. Still, it's hard to avoid asking the question, seeing as we've heard so many stories about the Miami Dolphins running Vic Fangio out of town. What might they be thinking? Did they see the Philadelphia Eagles dismantle the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59? One could argue the Dolphins could have used that type of punch last season, but who cares, right? Their loss is Philadelphia's gain. Advertisement What's the point, you ask? It's great you asked that question. Had this been about Fangio only, Kendall Lamm's recent comments may not have caught our attention. Kendall Lamm praises the Eagles' culture while taking a dig at his former team. Things have been relatively quiet since the Eagles closed the door on spring workouts, but no one believes Philadelphia is sitting idle. There's always the constant spectre of news breaking from the NovaCare Complex at any time. We didn't know that news would come by way of a reserve lineman. Lamm joined the Eagles by way of a one-year deal at the end of March. It seemed he'd compete for a reserve role along Philadelphia's offensive line. He recently spoke with ESPN. As you might expect, he was asked about his current team and his former. FinsXtra shared his quote: Now, here's the thing. From a journalistic perspective, this is completely impartial (wink) but further evidence of a theory that is often expressed. Philadelphia is one of the league's model franchises. One can certainly do a lot worse than being an Eagles fan. Advertisement Lamm used words like "late" and "toxic". Ouch... He seemed equally excited about sharing his joy about being in Philadelphia and his opportunity to take a shot at his former team. That brings us back to the Eagles' defensive coordinator hire in 2024. Upon further review, despite the complaints from players following Fangio's exit, it appears that Fangio may not have been one of Miami's true issues. None of the young players or the veterans in Philadelphia seems to be complaining. They have consistently praised Coach Fangio for his coaching style. Too often, we mentioned players for being spoiled and coddled. Most of us weren't there, so we can't make that claim about the Dolphins. We don't know what's happening in Miami, but if that's the case, it may explain why they continue to underachieve in South Florida. Stay tuned. Discussions might be born at some point about a talented team that doesn't want to be pushed past its comfort level for the sake of being better. When that happens, nothing good follows.
