KEAM 2025 results out: Ernakulam tops engineering, Alappuzha leads in pharmacy
KOZHIKODE: The highly anticipated results of the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) 2025 entrance examinations were officially declared on Tuesday by the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE). The announcement was made by Higher Education Minister R Bindu in Kozhikode. Ernakulam district emerged as a powerhouse in the engineering stream, sweeping the top two ranks, while Alappuzha celebrated its first-place achiever in the pharmacy examination. The computer-based entrance examination for KEAM 2025 was conducted from April 23 to April 29, 2025, across 138 examination centres, including those in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru, as well as Dubai. A total of 86,549 candidates appeared for the Engineering Entrance Examination, with 76,230 successfully qualifying. From these, a comprehensive engineering rank list was prepared for 67,505 candidates who had submitted their marks within the stipulated timeframe. In the Pharmacy Entrance Examination, 33,425 candidates participated, and 27,841 candidates were successfully included in the Pharmacy rank list. Leading the engineering cohort, John Shinoj from Ernakulam secured the coveted first rank, closely followed by Hari Krishnan Baiju, also from Ernakulam, who claimed the second position. Akshay Biju from Kozhikode attained the third rank, with Adl Zayaan, also from Kozhikode, securing the fourth. The fifth and sixth ranks went to Joshua Jacob Thomas and Emil Ipe Sacharia, both from Thiruvananthapuram. Mahir Ali T and Dani Firas Payyanakadavan, both from Kozhikode, took the seventh and eighth positions respectively, while Dhiya Roopa B R from Kollam and Jayyash Muhammed K from Malappuram rounded out the top ten.

Top duo attributes success to 2 years' rigorous preparations
1 2 3 4 Kochi: Ernakulam natives John Shinoj and Hari Kishan Baiju, who came first and second respectively in engineering category in the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) examinations, attributed their success to rigorous preparations they made over the last two years. Kalloorkad, Muvattupuzha, native Shinoj, who secured 588.58 marks out of 600, has already received admission to IIT Gandhinagar for electrical engineering. "Although I preferred other prominent IITs and campuses within Kerala, I opted for IIT Gandhinagar after some research," said Shinoj. He said the results brought immense joy to his parents and relatives. "I attended coaching at private centre in Pala. I prioritised KEAM entrance on alternate days to achieve the result," said Shinoj. Baiju, who came close second, said the results were expected as he had received top marks in the entrance examinations earlier. Hari, along with his family, relocated to India from the UAE to secure admission in an IIT in the country. "I attended entrance examination coaching during weekends while studying at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Irinjalakkuda," he said. In the IIT advanced examinations, Baiju bagged the 646th rank and received an admission to IIT Bombay for integrated electrical engineering (BTech + MTech) course. Students who appeared for the exams conducted between April 23 and 29, 2025 can now check their ranks by visiting the official website: The KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) exam was conducted in computer-based mode this year across multiple centres. Kozhikode: Boys swept nine of the top 10 engineering ranks as the results of the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance examinations were announced on Tuesday. Hridin S Biju from Nileshwar in Kasaragod and Sabarinath K S from Kottayam topped the rankings in the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes categories, respectively. Due to complaints regarding the standardization process used to prepare the engineering rank list, the govt order for finalizing the list was issued only after detailed scrutiny of various scientific methods for mark normalization and selecting the most appropriate one. Three rounds of centralized allotment and a spot allotment are to be completed in a time-bound manner. The allotment process for Architecture course will begin as soon as National Aptitude Test in Architecture scores are received. KEAM is a state-level entrance test for admission to engineering, architecture and pharmacy courses. Those seeking admission to medical courses will be based on NEET scores and not on a separate state-level test.
