The Bachelor star Laura Byrne reveals her bizarre find in a bag of chips: 'That's so rank'
Laura Byrne has taken to social media to share a bizarre discovery in a recently-bought bag of chips. The former Bachelor star, 39, posted a video to Instagram on Sunday showing a packet of chips she had purchased - with a surprise waiting inside. 'Ok... but wtf is that?' she captioned the post, which showed a strange potato creation in a packet of Kettle chips. 'I can't tell if this is an entire potato, a hash brown, I don't know what it is. Or a lot of chips that have gotten stuck on the conveyor belt together,' she could be heard saying in a follow-up clip. Her husband Matty 'J' Johnson, 37, who she met on the hit reality show in 2017, then asked if he could try a bite of the unidentifiable nugget. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'If you want to, go nuts. Would you? You're disgusting,' the Life Uncut podcast host said as Matty took a bite out of the bizarre find. Laura then played devil's advocate, saying: 'It's probably the best bit of all the chips. You know how like when they are really crunchy?' 'That's pretty good!' her husband announced, with his eyes wide with delight, before Laura proclaimed: 'That's so rank'. Laura recently made headlines for calling out her podcast host husband after he accidentally revealed the name of their unborn baby girl on-air. In June, the reality star was doing an 'ask me anything' questionnaire on her Instagram story when one of her followers brought up the moment, which she was seemingly unaware of. 'Did you punch Matt in the ovaries for revealing [your] baby name on Two Doting Dads?' the question read. Laura was clearly caught off-guard as she replied: 'He did f***ing what?!' Later on, the business owner, 39, brought up the blunder with her husband, 37, as they lay in bed together. 'Matt I have a question for you: did you say the girl's name, the baby's name, on the podcast?' she asked him in a clip posted to her Instagram story. He looked at his partner confused as he denied the accusation. 'I think you might have,' she told him, cheekily. 'I would never, never. Never would I say that,' he said defensively as the couple both broke out into giggles. Laura told the camera: 'People always ask us, "how do you know the limits when you're telling stories and stuff on the podcast?" and normally we're pretty good... Normally.' Matty began to pipe up as he sported a giant smile on his face, clearly telling a fib. 'Whoever is spreading this false information, shame on you, because that's not true at all,' he said. While Matty may have mentioned the little girl's name, it seems it was edited out of the podcast as it could later no longer be found. The couple already share little girls Marlie and Lola, and are expecting their third in October.

Kettle Chips reveal two new 'gourmet' flavours - and they've been picked by a celeb chef
A fan-favourite crisp brand has revealed two new 'gourmet' flavours inspired by celebrity chef Rachel Khoo's culinary journey in France. Kettle Chips' latest mouth-watering selection for UK customers include Honey Dijon Mustard and Brie & Caramelised Onion. The products were created with the help of the best-selling author and broadcaster, who received international acclaim for her cookbook and its accompanying BBC cookery series, The Little Paris Kitchen: Cooking with Rachel Khoo. Each flavour is inspired by the Croydon-born chef's time working in France, where she refined her culinary skills and developed a deep appreciation for exceptional ingredients and for French cuisine. The new gourmet potato chips are made with Kettle Chips' signature real-food ingredient seasonings which bring a sophisticated flavour to the snack. The Honey Dijon Mustard flavour delivers a balance of sweet and tangy, with the warmth of authentic Dijon mustard mellowed by rich, golden honey. Meanwhile the Brie & Caramelised Onion is described by the brand as 'pure indulgence'; the crisp combines the creamy, nutty notes of brie with the rich sweetness of caramelised onions. Rachel, who has appeared as a judge on the Great Australian Bake Off, said: 'These flavours are a love letter to my time in France where my culinary career began and I learned that great food starts with simple, high-quality ingredients. 'I hope these handcooked chips bring as much joy to your taste buds as they do mine!' The gluten-free crisps - available in Waitrose and Morrisons now for just £2.65 a bag - contain no artificial ingredients yet still offer a full-bodied taste. Speaking about the two unique flavour combinations, chef Rachel said: 'It's bringing in the classic French flavors, but adding that little surprise, that little twist, which a lot of my recipes are like. 'OK, it might be quite French classic, but I always put a little spin on the end, or something unexpected.' TV chef Rachel spent her early years in the UK but her influences are international. Her mother is Austrian and her father Malaysian-Chinese. The family moved to Bavaria when she was 12 and she wrote her first cookbook in English – The Little Paris Kitchen in 2012 – when she was living in a small apartment in the French capital. Rachel speaks English, French, German and Swedish, but she's found her programmes in demand all over the world. She's filmed shows in Australia and is huge in Japan. In 2006, the chef moved to Paris, studied at Le Cordon Bleu school and began a TV career with The Little Paris Kitchen series, in which she was filmed cooking for guests at a pop-up restaurant in her miniscule kitchen. Praising the beloved cuisine that inspired her crisp selection, Rachel said: 'I think the French are really good at celebrating simple pleasures and enjoying, you know that moment, like having the pleasure of something so delicious, really tasty, wonderful texture. 'So I get a lot of questions, like, "How can you eat all of this stuff and not be whatever?" I'm really like, if it looks mediocre, I'm not going to eat it. 'If it's like a sad looking croissant... I'm going to wait for that beautiful croissant. I think also like the pleasure of just simply enjoying things. 'I hate the thing of, like, guilty pleasures, just enjoy it, enjoy the moment. But maybe you don't have to do it so frequently.' Speaking about the two new products, Rachel insisted that 'these don't need to be guilty pleasures' and instead referred to them as 'edible souvenirs'. 'You can bring that little flavor of France home,' revealed the chef. 'I love edible souvenirs. So my suitcase is like, bread, I have chocolate in there. I'll have, you know, random things like jams or whatever. So I'm an edible souvenir kind of girl.' Rachel explained how Kettle fitted with the French philosophy of 'always buying the best possible produce you can' thanks to the brand using 'real ingredients so it gives a richer feel'.

Iconic crisps giant announces two new ‘gourmet' flavours inspired by BBC chef's travels
A FAN favourite crisp brand has launched two new "gourmet" flavours in collaboration with a celebrity chef. The two brand new crisp flavours are set to hit UK shelves this summer. Kettle Chips has announced the launch of their two newest flavours, created with help of TV chef Rachel Khoo. New and "sophisticated" the flavours include Brie and Caramelised Onion and Honey Dijon Mustard. Inspired by French flavours the new crisps are already on sale in Waitrose and Morrisons and are set to come to other stores soon. Shoppers will see the crisps on sale in Tesco from June 14 and Sainsbury's will stock them from July 20. The new crisps will retail for £2.65 and will only be available in 130g bags. Inspired by chef Rachel Khoo's time in France the new flavours are being billed as "gourmet." Celebrity chef Rachel has appeared on BBC and Netflix cooking shows. She authored 'The Little Paris Kitchen' bestselling cookbook which launched her to fame in the culinary world. Khoo, who grew up in South London, spent time in France learning to cook after studying at university. She had once worked in PR and marketing before launching her career in cooking. Rachel has since had her own cooking show on BBC, done stints as a judge on 'The Great British Menu' and 'The Great Australian Bake Off'. Now she's working alongside Kettle Chips to bring two new flavours to UK shelves in time for summer. Why are products axed or recipes changed? ANALYSIS by chief consumer reporter James Flanders. Food and drinks makers have been known to tweak their recipes or axe items altogether. They often say that this is down to the changing tastes of customers. There are several reasons why this could be done. For example, government regulation, like the "sugar tax," forces firms to change their recipes. Some manufacturers might choose to tweak ingredients to cut costs. They may opt for a cheaper alternative, especially when costs are rising to keep prices stable. For example, Tango Cherry disappeared from shelves in 2018. It has recently returned after six years away but as a sugar-free version. Fanta removed sweetener from its sugar-free alternative earlier this year. Suntory tweaked the flavour of its flagship Lucozade Original and Orange energy drinks. While the amount of sugar in every bottle remains unchanged, the supplier swapped out the sweetener aspartame for sucralose. Khoo said: "These flavours are a love letter to my time in France where my culinary career began and I learned that great food starts with simple, high-quality ingredients. "I hope these handcooked chips bring as much joy to your taste buds as they do mine." 3 The new French inspired flavours are made with Kettle Chips "real-food ingredient seasonings." Kettle describes the Brie and Caramelised Onion crisps as "pure indulgence, combining the creamy, nutty notes of brie with the deep, umami-rich sweetness of slow-cooked caramelised onions." While the Honey Dijon Mustard flavour is said to "deliver the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, with the warmth of authentic Dijon mustard mellowed by rich, golden honey." The crisps are made with no artificial ingredients and are even gluten free. Khoo and Kettle Chips' newest creation are already available in some stores and set to hit more in the near future. The new crisps are perfect for a summer picnic and have been described by Kettle as "perfect for any occasion."
