Lucknow, Jul 24 (PTI) As part of a promotional campaign for the upcoming UP International Trade Show 2025, the fourth mega roadshow in the series will be held in Mumbai on Friday. The fourth mega roadshow at Mumbai, after Delhi, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru will not only open doors to new investment opportunities, but also highlight Uttar Pradesh's progressive business vision, an official statement issued here on Thursday said. MSME, Khadi and Village Industries Minister Rakesh Sachan will lead the event, supported by officials, who will showcase the state's transformational progress in infrastructure development, industry-friendly policies, and reforms aimed at enhancing Ease of Doing Business, it said. The program is expected to see participation from foreign diplomats, embassy representatives, business associations, international buyers, investors, tech startups, and the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The Mumbai roadshow will feature sector-specific presentations from leading brands and enterprises in technology, electronics, IT, electric vehicles, agro and food processing, and the flagship One District One Product (ODOP) scheme. All these initiatives are part of the build-up to the UP International Trade Show 2025, to be held in Greater Noida from September 25 to 29, which aims to establish the state as a prominent player in the global business ecosystem under the theme 'Innovate, Integrate, Internationalize, the statement said. Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh is set to showcase its industrial and business might in Bengaluru, India's tech capital, on July 18 by organising its third mega roadshow, on lines of previous editions in New Delhi and Hyderabad. This is the third major event ahead of the UP International Trade Show 2025 in Greater Noida and is being organised in partnership with the Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association. The event will be spearheaded by Rakesh Sachan, Minister for MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Handloom, and Textiles in Uttar Pradesh. During the event, key members of 'Team Yogi' will showcase transformational developments in the fields of infrastructure, policy support, and ease of doing business in the state.

1 2 Lucknow: The second roadshow in the series leading up to the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 was in Hyderabad on Friday. More than 150 industrialists, exporters, trade consultants, and business organisations participated in the event, which aimed to enhance national awareness and participation in the show. UP's minister for MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Handloom, Textile and Silk, Rakesh Sachan, said, "UP has emerged as the fastest-growing economy in India and is rapidly transforming into a global trade hub. UPITS is more than a trade fair; it is a platform to bring global recognition to our artisans, MSMEs, and local entrepreneurs." Additional commissioner (industries), UP, Raj Kamal Yadav, informed the speakers that UPITS is India's first state-led international trade show. "In 2024, the event generated business worth Rs 500–600 crore, with major companies like Titan placing orders with local artisans. It's opening doors to global markets for small manufacturers," he said. He also emphasised the potential for synergy between Uttar Pradesh and Telangana, both industrial powerhouses, especially in sectors like IT, textiles, pharma, and handicrafts. "This year's show will feature over 2,400 exhibitors, which is expected to draw 1.25 lakh business-to-business and 4.5 lakh business-to-consumer visitors. More than 550 international buyers representing over 70 countries would have representation in the event," officials said.

KVIC disburses money subsidy of Rs 300 crore to 8794 beneficiaries under PMEGP

The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) disbursed margin money subsidy of Rs 300 crore ($34.8 million) to 8794 beneficiaries across the country through virtual mode program organized under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). All the six zones of the country participated in this disbursement program. In total 2445 projects were approved for south zone, 2366 projects for central zone, 2167 projects in eastern India & northeast, 1320 projects in the northern zone and 496 projects in the western zone. Commenting on the disbursement program, Manoj Kumar, chairman of KVIC in a statement said, 'Under the visionary leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, PMEGP scheme has presently created a strong and effective base of self-employment in India. Khadi and Village Industries is not just a product today, but it is the essence of vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.' 'This scheme has not only provided employment to lakhs of youth but has also connected them with the power of entrepreneurship,' he added. Since its beginning till the financial year 2024-25, PMEGP has helped 10,18,185 micro enterprises sanctioning total loans of Rs 73,348 crore.

Khadi & Village Industries sales hit record Rs 1.7 L-cr mark

New Delhi: The sales of Khadi and Village Industries have registered a five-fold jump from Rs31,154.19 crore in 2013-14 to an all-time high of Rs1,70,551.37 crore in the financial year 2024-25, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) Chairman, Manoj Kumar, said on Monday. He further stated that while the production of Khadi and Village Industry goods was Rs26,109.07 crore in the financial year 2013-14, it increased nearly four times to Rs116,599.75 crore in the financial year 2024-25. Speaking at a press conference, he said that the unprecedented growth has also been observed in the production of Khadi clothes in the last 11 years. While the production of Khadi clothes was Rs811.08 crore in the financial year 2013-14, it increased increased four and a half times (366 per cent) to Rs3,783.36 crore in the financial year 2024-25, which is the best performance till date. There has also been a tremendous jump in the sales of Khadi clothes. While the sale was Rs1,081.04 crore in the financial year 2013-14, it increased by about six and a half times to Rs7,145.61 crore in the financial year 2024-25, he pointed out. 'The promotion of Khadi by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from a larger platform has had a huge impact on the sale of Khadi clothes,' he said. Speaking on the objective of KVIC, he said the major objective is to provide maximum employment opportunities in rural areas. In this area too, KVIC has set a record in the last 11 years. While the cumulative employment was 1.3 crore in the financial year 2013-14, it rose to 1.94 crore in 2024-25 with an increase of 49.23 per cent. Besides, there has been an unprecedented increase in the business of Khadi and Village Industries Bhawan, New Delhi. While the business of Bhavan was Rs51.02 crore in the financial year 2013-14, it increased by almost two times and reached Rs110.01 crore in the financial year 2024-25 with a jump of 115 per cent, Kumar mentioned.
