From Don Valley Parkway construction to the annual ‘Bumrum,' here are Toronto's road closures this weekend
As Toronto warms up, outdoor events are making a return in droves — and so is construction.
Whether you'll be in the city 'clenching your cheeks' at the Maple Leafs fan tailgate for a tense playoff matchup, or to take part in the annual 'Bumrun,' here are the roads in Toronto that will be closed this weekend.
Don Valley Parkway
As work continues to restore bridges along the Don Valley Parkway, there will be a number of road and ramp closures this weekend to accommodate the third stage of construction.

Starting Thursday until Monday, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., there will be shutdowns at the Don Valley Parkway southbound off-ramp at Richmond Street and the Don Valley Parkway northbound off-ramp at Eastern Avenue.
During this same time, Richmond Street between the Eastern Avenue Diversion and Power Street will be closed, along with Adelaide Street between Parliament Street and Eastern Avenue Diversion.

Steeles Avenue East
From 7 a.m. on Friday until 7 p.m. on Monday, Steeles Avenue East will be closed between Sewells Road and Donald Cousens Parkway for emergency work on the CN Rail line.
All traffic will be diverted between Reesor Road and Donald Cousens Parkway while local access to Sewells Road from Steeles Avenue will continue.
Wellesley Street West
Wellesley Street West will be closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday between Bay Street and Queen's Park Circle for the safe use of a crane hoist, according to the City of Toronto.
Gerrard Street East
On Saturday, Gerrard Street East will also be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Church and Yonge Streets for the safe use of a crane hoist.

Bremner Boulevard and Maple Leaf Square
From noon until two hours after the Toronto Maple Leafs' game ends on Saturday, Bremner Boulevard will be closed between Maple Leaf Square and York Street to accommodate the Stanley Cup playoffs tailgate.
Maple Leaf Square is closed and will remain that way until the end of the Leafs' playoff season. There will still be local access to parking garages and the Le Germain Hotel.
Khalsa Day Parade
On Sunday, there will be a number of road restrictions for the annual Khalsa Day celebration and parade at Nathan Phillips Square.
Queen Street West will be closed between Bay and York Streets between 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
From 12:45 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., the following roads will have closures:
Lake Shore Boulevard West between British Colombia Road and Bay Street
York Street between Lake Shore Boulevard West and Front Street
York Street between Queen and Adelaide Streets
Queen Street West between Simcoe and York Streets.
Bumrun
Sunday will also see a number of road closures for the 14th annual Bumrun, a charity run raising awareness for colon cancer screening and prevention.
Queens Park will be closed between College Street and Bloor Street West from 5:30 a.m. to noon.

From 7:30 to 10 a.m., the following roads will have closures:
College Street will be reduced to one westbound lane between Queens Park and Spadina Avenue.
Spadina Avenue will be reduced to one northbound lane between College Street and Bloor Street West.
Bay Street will be reduced to one southbound lane between Bloor Street West and St Joseph Street.
Westbound lanes on St Joseph Street will be closed between Bay Street and Queen's Park Crescent East.
Eastbound lanes on Bloor Street West will be closed between Spadina Avenue and Bay Street.
Finch Avenue West
On Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., the westbound lanes on Finch Avenue West will be closed between Highway 27 and Westmore Drive. This closure is for a planned emergency simulation exercise for the future Finch West LRT line.
Westbound traffic will be diverted north on Westmore Drive to continue west on Carrier Drive.
