Ooredoo and Ministry of Education Launch ‘Next Gen Learners' Career Exploration Programme
Ooredoo, together with the Ministry of Education represented by the Career Guidance and Student Counseling Center, is proud to launch Next Gen Learners, a new Career Exploration Programme designed to introduce school students to real-world career paths and help them understand the rapidly evolving job market. Running from 13 to 31 July, the programme is led by Ooredoo's training team with support from B2B and key corporate teams. Over two immersive weeks, students will explore workplace roles, experience Ooredoo's culture firsthand, and gain insights into organisational life, ethics, and future-focused industries.'This initiative reflects Ooredoo's commitment to building a future-ready Oman through youth development,' said Khawla Al Amri, Chief People Officer at Ooredoo. Ooredoo Brings Learning to Life with School Kit to Promote Sustainable Thinking in Classrooms, in collaboration with ONCECS
In a meaningful step towards nurturing future generations, Ooredoo has introduced its latest community initiative, the Mobile Puppet Theatre, as part of the 'School Kit for Sustainable Development' initiative, in collaboration with the Oman National Commission for Education, Culture and Science (ONCESC).Under the patronage of H.E. Majid bin Said Al Bahri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs, the project was designed to support children aged 3 to 6 across 20 public schools in Muscat Al Amri, Chief People Officer at Ooredoo, said, 'While the world continues to embrace digital transformation, some studies warn against the overexposure of young children to screens and devices. In these formative years, it is essential to nurture children's sensory, visual, auditory, and motor skills to inspire curiosity, build communication, and reduce screen time. The Mobile Puppet Theatre provides an imaginative alternative, a gateway into a world of values and knowledge through interactive storytelling. The four original tales promote sustainability in an engaging and age-appropriate way, tailored for children between 3 and 6 years old, a critical stage where lifelong habits and skills are formed.'Dr. Mahmood bin Abdullah Al Abri, Secretary-General of the Oman National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, stated: 'We are pleased to extend our sincere thanks to Ooredoo for its valuable support of this project and its belief in the importance of public-private partnerships in advancing education in alignment with the national vision to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. In line with Oman Vision 2040 and the National Strategy for Education 2040, the initiative supports the development of a progressive education ecosystem, helping students strengthen their awareness of environmental issues and equipping them to shape a more sustainable future.
