Kia is recalling over 600 examples of its Sportage to address a potential fire risk. 'Due to an incorrectly manufactured High-Pressure Fuel Pipe, poor sealing of the fuel system may occur resulting in a fuel leak,' the company says in its recall notice. 'A fuel leak could increase the risk of a fire, causing injury or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.'
