PREDATOR's Legendary Flintlock Pistol Returns in PREDATOR: KILLER OF KILLERS — GeekTyrant
If there's one piece of Predator lore that's captivated fans, it's that weathered flintlock pistol. First seen in Predator 2 , later expanded on in Prey , and now, thanks to Predator: Killer of Killers , that same firearm officially cements its legacy as the franchise's most iconic Easter egg. Killer of Killers isn't your standard Predator story. This animated anthology spans centuries, following three human warriors that include the Viking leader Ursa (Lindsay LaVanchy), Japanese ninja Kenji (Louis Ozawa), and WWII pilot Torres (Rick Gonzalez). They each encounter a Predator hunter in their respective eras, and their stories eventually converge in a twisted finale that drops them into a Yautja gladiator arena lightyears from Earth. Each warrior gets a weapon that reflects their origins: Ursa gets an axe, Kenji a katana, and Torres… a humble flintlock pistol. It turns out that it's the same one fans saw in Predator 2 , and later in Prey . While Torres barely has time to load the thing, let alone figure out how to load it, during the battle, its appearance ties Killer of Killers directly into decades of Predator mythology. in Predator 2 , Danny Glover's Mike Harrigan defeats a Predator on its own ship, only to be surrounded by others. Rather than attack, they honor him. One of the Elder Predators tosses him the flintlock pistol and says, 'Take it.' The inscription reads: "Raphael Adolini, 1715." Years later, Prey reintroduced the pistol, showing how it changed hands. The film follows Comanche warrior Naru (Amber Midthunder) as she battles the 'Feral Predator' and clashes with a band of French fur trappers. One of those trappers, English-speaking interpreter Raphael Adolini (Bennet Taylor), gives Naru the pistol after a brutal fight. She uses it as part of her final stand, offering a glimpse into how this weapon entered Yautja hands in the first place. But Killer of Killers pushes the timeline even further. In the film's final chapter, Torres is given the flintlock as his arena weapon. While it doesn't play a huge part in the action, its presence begs a big question… how did the Yautja get it, and why does it keep resurfacing? The movie gives us at least part of the answer. At the end of the movie, a cryogenically frozen Naru is revealed to be one of many human warriors in stasis implying that the Yautja abducted her sometime after the events of Prey, likely during the closing cave painting-style scene that hinted at more Predators arriving. The flintlock? Confiscated and recycled for future bloodsport. So how does it end up in Harrigan's hands years later? One possible theory, after Ursa sacrifices herself so Kenji and Torres can escape on a Predator ship, the pistol gets left behind. Perhaps another human wields it in a later arena match, one that ends badly. The Elder Predator who wins that fight might've claimed the pistol as a trophy… only to pass it on to Harrigan as a token of mutual respect. That's one potential thread. But given the elastic nature of Predator timelines and cryostasis, Killer of Killers could actually take place after the events of Predator 2 , pushing the entire continuity into more ambiguous, time-jumping territory. Whether the flintlock has traded hands between humans and Predators for decades or centuries, its reappearance in Killer of Killers is a connective thread that bridges eras, characters, and lore in a way that deepens the mythos while leaving the door wide open for more.

3 underrated movies on Hulu you need to watch in June 2025
The Predator franchise gains another entry this month on Hulu. Predator: Killer of Killers is a new adult animated anthology from Prey director Dan Trachtenberg. Killer of Killers explores the lives of three warriors — a Viking raider, a Japanese ninja, and a World War II pilot — and their battles against a Predator. The critically acclaimed movie is now streaming. Speaking of the Predator franchise, one of our picks for underrated movies to watch this month is Predators, which stars two-time Oscar winner Adrien Brody. Check out Predators and two more underrated movies on Hulu. Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new shows to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on Max, and the best movies on Disney+. Predators (2010) 2025 is the comeback year for the Predator franchise thanks to Predator: Killer of Killers and Predator: Badlands. Things were not always this positive for the franchise, as many of the Predator movies released between 1987's Predator and 2022's Prey were not successful. The lone bright spot was 2010's Predators, Nimród Antal's standalone sequel to Predator 2. A group of murderers are transported to a mysterious alien planet, where they become the prey of a group of Predators who hunt humans for sport. One of the murderers, a mercenary named Royce (Adrien Brody), deduces that they must work together to free a captive Predator and convince it to help them get back to Earth. Backed by several terrific action sequences, Predators is a wildly entertaining thriller that still holds up 15 years later. Stream Predators on Hulu. Presence (2025) Don't take Steven Soderbergh for granted. Many filmmakers of Soderbergh's stature could coast for the rest of their careers. No one experiments more with the medium than Soderbergh. Take Presence, for example. Soderbergh crafts a supernatural thriller seen through the eyes of the spirit occupying the house. The Presence follows the house's new inhabitants: Rebekah Payne (Lucy Liu), her husband Chris (Chris Sullivan), and two children, Tyler (Eddy Maday) and Chloe (Callina Liang). On the surface, Presence might be viewed as a horror movie. It's not. Presence is a thrilling family drama about grief and trauma. What other filmmaker could pull that off? Only Soderbergh, man. Stream Presence on Hulu. Just Go with It (2011) Life lesson — the funny guys get the girl. Well, at least that's true in Adam Sandler movies. Sandler plays a womanizing plastic surgeon in Just Go With It. After getting his heart broken, Danny Maccabee (Adam Sandler) changes his attitude by pretending to be married to sleep with women. After meeting the beautiful Palmer (Brooklyn Decker), Danny takes the scheme to another level by having his assistant, Katherine (Jennifer Aniston), pose as his future ex-wife. As he spends more time with Katherine, Danny starts to question if he's in love with the wrong woman. Sandler could have chemistry with a tree, so it's no surprise that he and Aniston are a great on-screen tandem. Stream Just Go with It on Hulu.

PREDATOR: KILLER OF KILLERS Directors Tease Future ALIEN vs. PREDATOR Plans and PREY Crossover Potential — GeekTyrant
The co-directors of Predator: Killer of Killers are stirring the Yautja pot, and the fans are ready for what they are looking to deliver. Spoilers ahead if you haven't watched the movie yet. Dan Trachtenberg ( Prey ) and Josh Wassung recently sat down with Screen Rant and dropped some interesting hints about where the Predator franchise might be headed next, including a surprise connection to Prey and a subtle nod to the Alien vs. Predator legacy. If you caught the animated anthology film, you know it's not just another hunter-hunted story. Killer of Killers takes us through three distinct time periods that include the Viking Age, feudal Japan, and WWII, each centered around a warrior facing off against a relentless Yautja. But then it flips the script: These warriors have actually been plucked from their time and cryogenically frozen, only to be revived in the far future to fight in an arena for the twisted entertainment of the Grendel King, a Predator overlord with a flair for theatrical brutality and carnage. The biggest surprise? Prey protagonist Naru, played by Amber Midthunder, is shown in one of those stasis pods. It's a moment that reframes the 2022 film's hopeful ending into something far darker. Trachtenberg made one thing clear: "I mean, I'll clearly say it is not time travel. They are not time-travelling. That is the benefit of the cryo pod—they are plucked from their time period and then put into stasis and then unleashed when decided upon for that evening's delightful entertainment." So what does that mean for Naru and others? The door is wide open. She could return in a future story, perhaps forced to fight alongside or against other characters from throughout the Predator mythos. But the Alien question looms large, especially with fans pointing out that the Grendel King's cape appears to be stitched together from Xenomorph tails. When asked if this was a nod to a future Alien vs. Predator project, Wassung responded: "I would say the fans should interpret that the way they want to interpret it. I mean, we wanted to design that Predator with a regal elegance mixed with brutality. And that's what spoke to us about that. And we honestly were having fun imagining where they might've come from." He added: "But we really wanted to leave it to the fans to imagine where each of those skeletons and pieces of various creatures that he clearly has conquered and where they might've come from." Predator: Badlands is on the horizon, with Elle Fanning set to play a Weyland-Yutani android, which is a massive connective tissue between the Alien and Predator worlds. There's clearly something brewing behind the scenes at 20th Century Studios and Disney. While we wait to see what that is, one thing's for sure: Predator: Killer of Killers just opened up a whole new arena of possibilities. The film is now streaming on Hulu and Disney+.

Hulu's ‘Predator: Killer Of Killers' Lands Predator's Best Critic Score Ever
Predator: Killer of Killers Hulu seems to have developed a hobby in making amazing Predator movies that don't go anywhere near theaters. First it was Prey in 2022, now it's Predator: Killer of Killers from the same director, Dan Trachtenberg. This time around, Killer of Killers is animated, but that has unleashed the series to make an exceptional entry without spending $200 million on VFX. Rather, it's just gorgeously animated and written, and guess what? It's reviewed better than every single other movie in the series. Here's the full list, and how it stacks up: Predator Killer of Killers I mean, I know the Alien vs. Predator movies weren't good, but wow, those scores. I am also firmly okay with Trachtenberg's Killer of Killers and Prey being the top two rated Predator movies as I mean, they are the two best movie. I know it's hard to say that over the classic original, but I am willing to overlook nostalgia to examine which are literally better movies. And those two are. Killer of Killers follows three warriors from different periods in history set against different Predator variants, using the tools of their time to take them on before a larger-scale conflict that will merge all the stories. The fight scenes are absolutely insane, and the mini-stories that lead up to the end are fantastic. My only complaint is that I wish the last act was a bit longer. Prey I did like Prey better, personally. Killer of Killers very much does feel like that film in the sense that it's going through history and imagining different Predator battles past its modern day setting. But both are excellent. There is further good news here. Trachtenberg is also directing Predator: Badlands, which is out November 7, 2025, and will star Elle Fanning and is set on the Predators' homeworld. Fanning will play a Weyland-Yutani android, crossing over to the Alien universe yet again. It also will feature Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as Dek, an outcast from his species and a good guy rather than bad. Clearly, this is Trachtenberg's lane. It's hard to imagine that Badlands will not deliver, given what we've seen here. Go and watch Predator: Killer of Killers on Hulu right now if you disagree. Predator: Killer of Killers (2025) Ending Explained – The post-credits scene changes what we know about Prey
Predator: Killer of Killers Plot Summary Killer of Killers is the newest addition to the Predator franchise. It's an animated anthology set in different times, such as the Viking era, feudal Japan, and the US during World War II. Each period has its specific Yautja targeting humans in their quest to prove they're the strongest hunters in the universe. The three main characters trying to survive are Ursa (a Viking), Kenji (a ronin), and Torres (a pilot). As in all Predator movies, these people are living their lives when, suddenly, the alien arrives, wreaking havoc. When she was a child, Ursa was forced to kill her dying father or choose to die in his place. Her dad forced her to kill him and avenge him when she was older. Now, that's her mission. But the creature reveals his presence right after she accomplishes her desire. Kenji's father was a fierce feudal lord, and the man demanded that Kenji and his brother fight each other to prove themselves. The kid ran away and prepared to get revenge when he was older. As an adult, he strikes at his brother's domain with all the contempt he has been carrying throughout his life. Unlike the others, Torres had a more peaceful life. However, he never went after his dreams. So, after being drafted, he arrived at the place where he could become the pilot he always wanted to be. The only problem is that his enemy wasn't only other soldiers but a Yautja spaceship. Do Ursa, Torres, and Kenji die? After their terrible battles against the Predators in their time, each of the humans managed to come out on top. The monster killed Ursa's entire clan in front of her, even her son, but she survived. In their heated battle, she tricks the alien, breaking the icy floor below him and submerging the creature. He tries to drag and drown her with him, but she uses his weapons to kill him. The Yautja interrupts Kenji's fight with his brother and destroys everyone in his path while trying to kill the ronin. Kenji almost doesn't survive, but he meets his sibling again, and they work together to defeat the threat. Although they accomplish that, Kenji is the only one who makes it out alive. Torres analyzes a strange object that pierced through one of the army's planes and finds out they have a new and strange opponent. However, he could never have imagined how superior and out of this world that enemy would be. With his spaceship, the Predator obliterates everyone in his way, leaving only Torres alive. The boy concocts a crazy but inventive plan and destroys the monster's vehicle. However, that isn't the end of any of these stories. Later, we find out the aliens have kidnapped Torres and the other survivors and taken them to the Yautja planet. What happens on the Yautja planet? Torres wakes up in a weird spaceship wearing a collar and surrounded by aliens. Even though he finds two more humans like him there, Ursa and Kenji, they can't understand each other's languages. So, they arrive on the planet not knowing anything. Then, what seemingly is the Yautja emperor, tells them they have to kill each other, and the winner will fight him. Kenji learned from his previous fight that they must work together if they want to survive, but the Viking has a different opinion. She charges him and the boy, who's also reluctant to fight, and almost kills Torres. While Ursa and Kenji fight, Torres is eaten alive by a massive monster. However, the movie quickly shows he's alive and trying to fight the creature from the inside. All of them work together to defeat the alien, but the kid is still inside it, so he's mistakenly taken out of the arena. Ursa keeps trying to kill Kenji, but he lets go of his sword, refusing to fight. That paralyzes her, leaving the woman confused about what she should do. That sets them as failures in the emperor's eyes, so he decides to activate the collars, which will explode their heads. Thankfully, Torres gets back there, revealing he deactivated the bombs. Now that they're free, they go after the emperor Yautja and its spaceship. While Ursa and Kenji distract the monster, Torres finds a way to use the vehicle and starts the engine. Although they get inside it, they still aren't in the clear. More Predators arrive and use a mechanism to chain the spaceship, preventing it from flying away. That's when Ursa decides to sacrifice herself to save them. She jumps off after leaving her final words, 'Don't avenge me,' and destroys the mechanism. The creatures easily kill her, but her new partners manage to survive and fly off into the distance. Who is inside the cryo pods? Right after that, we get a glimpse of somewhere on the Yautja planet. There are many cryo pods with mysterious creatures that the aliens have probably hunted down. Even though it's impossible to see what's inside most of them, we zoom in on one with a familiar face. Naru, the protagonist from Prey, is frozen inside one of the pods. This implies that, like with Torres and the others, the Predators have gone after her again and taken her to their planet. There's still a lot to find out, but this might mean a sequel to the movie. Or the girl might even appear in Badlands, the franchise's next instalment, giving us more insight into her situation.
