13th annual Dancing Stars of Coastal Georgia Fundraising Gala
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Those in attendance Saturday night certainly had the moves to help support an important mission. Nearly 800 people filled the Savannah Convention Center Saturday night for the 13th annual Dancing Stars of Coastal Georgia Fundraising Gala. The event is held every year to help raise awareness of the terrible disease Alzheimer's. The event raised over $464,000 to go towards research to help find a cure. Community Corner: Free workshops scheduled to help small business owners
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — May is National Small Business Month, a time to support and celebrate the contributions of the nation's more than 33 million small businesses. Support is exactly what an upcoming series of free workshops hosted by the Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC) in Savannah aims to provide. They will feature speakers from the SBAC's Service Provider Program, each sharing valuable insights and expertise. WSAV News 3's Kim Gusby spoke with Victoria Saxon, president and CEO of the SBAC, and Kassidy Jones, SBAC business advisory services manager, about the series. The 2025 Service Provider Workshop initiative is designed to empower small business owners with practical strategies and professional insight. The workshops will be held on Wednesdays, beginning June 4 through July 9 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at the SBAC's corporate office, located at 111 Liberty Street in Savannah. The speakers will cover topics focused on business branding, operations, cash flow, mindset, artificial intelligence, and legal compliance.
