Daily Schmankerl: Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Atlético Madrid wants Bayern Munich's Kim Min-jae; Lamine Yamal's birthday party was...something; Bayern confident in pursuit of Liverpool's Luis Diaz; Inter Milan chasing Christopher Nkunku; and MORE!
Spurs, Chelsea, Atléti vying for Min-jae (Get Italian Football News) Club World Cup champion Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur, and Atlético Madrid are keeping a very close eye on Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae: Premier League rivals Tottenham and Chelsea are in the chase to sign Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-Jae. The South Korean hasn't had a great time in Munich since his arrival from Napoli, where he was a key part of the Serie A title win. Now, his future is up in the air. Tuttomercatoweb have reported that Kim can leave Bayern this summer because the relationship has never really taken off. There was clubs looking at the possibility of signing him. Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Tottenham are amongst the interested clubs but the Blues can be heavily involved in the deal as Bayern Munich see Renato Veiga as a potential replacement as the Portuguese has been on the Bavarians' shortlist for some time. If Kim does leave, Chelsea can be indirectly involved and affected. It is not as if Jonathan Tah was overly good for Bayern Munich in the Club World Cup, but — on some levels — it does appear that the Bavarians have moved on from Min-jae, despite not really having a true, No. 3 center-back on the roster. It is also very questionable that Min-jae would even want to be a No. 3 option at center-back. With Bayern Munich looking to generate revenue, a transfer makes sense, but it will likely also spur the Bavarians to add another defender this summer to replace Min-jae. But communicated interest in deal for 25yo Sweden international worth in region of £120m Yamal's birthday celebration must have (ESPN) When it comes to discussing professional athletes, we always never really know these guys. And Barcelona star Lamine Yamal might be entering the chat like he was a VIP from Squid Game: Spain's Ministry for Social Rights has requested an investigation into possible breaches of disability laws at Barcelona star Lamine Yamal's 18th birthday party following allegations that individuals with dwarfism were hired as entertainers, according to EFE. The Ministry wants the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Spanish Ombudsman and the Office for Combating Hate Crimes to probe whether laws which prohibit shows that mock or denigrate people with disabilities were violated at the party. Yamal turned 18 on July 13 and celebrated by throwing a private party outside of Barcelona last Saturday. Guests were not allowed to film on their phones at the event, but videos later surfaced on social media of people with dwarfism appearing to arrive at the location where the party was being held. On Sunday, following the emergence of the images, the Association for People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE) in Spain condemned 'the hiring of individuals with dwarfism as entertainers.' In a statement, the ADEE said the act 'violates current laws and fundamental ethical values' and that they would take 'legal and social action to protect the dignity of people with disabilities.' One of the performers, opting to remain anonymous, defended their right to work as entertainers and said they were treated with respect at the party. 'No one disrespected us, we were allowed to work in peace,' they told RAC1 in an interview in Catalan. 'I don't understand why it's become such a big deal. We're normal people who dedicate ourselves to what we love doing in an absolutely legal way. For a couple of years these people [the ADEE] have wanted to harm us, the want to prevent us from doing what we like, but they have not offered any work or training to those who are affected. We work as entertainers. Why can't we do what we do? We dance, we do magic, there are all types of shows. We were treated like anyone else [at the party], everyone had a good time. All this fuss has come about purely because it was Lamine Yamal's party.' is a lot to unpack there but yes, there is a video: There was also this floating around and attached to Yamal's party: So it is just another example that these guys live in a world most of us do not know and cannot understand. Bayern Munich 'targeting forgotten Chelsea star' after he fell out of favour at Stamford Bridge - despite only joining the Blues last summer
Bayern Munich are targeting a Chelsea star who has become a peripheral figure at Stamford Bridge since he joined the club. The player concerned only joined the Blues last summer but has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot. That has seen him make just seven league appearances last season, as he was loaned out to Juventus midway through the campaign. But he has now appeared to attract the interest of Bundesliga champions Bayern ahead of the 2025-26 season. They are looking to bolster their ranks in a bid to defend their domestic and push for a first Champions League since 2020. This sees them turn to a player who has fallen out of favour in west London and appears to be nearing an exit. Bayern are looking to bolster their ranks in a bid to defend their domestic and push for a first Champions League since 2020. According to German outlet BILD, Vincent Kompany's side are interested in signing left-back Renato Veiga. Veiga, 21, only joined Enzo Maresca at Chelsea last summer after signing a seven-year contract in a deal that came to €14million. But the Portuguese international could now be on the move again after impressing during his loan spell with the Bianconeri in Serie A. However, the report claims that he can only make the move to Bavaria as a replacement for Korean defender Kim-min Jae. Jae, 28, has endured a mixed times of things in Munich since moving from Napoli after being a key cog in their Scudetto-winning side under Luciano Spalletti. The Korean defender has subsequently been linked with a move to PSG, where he could reunite with former team-mate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Kvaratskhelia was an integral figure of the PSG team that tasted Champions League glory for the first time in May. His side crushed Inter 5-0 in the final after beating Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa in the knockout stages.

Bayern Munich consider Chelsea's Renato Veiga as a Kim Min-jae replacement
As reported by Bild, Bayern Munich are eyeing up a potential move for Chelsea defender Renato Veiga. It is understood that scouts for Der Rekordmeister have been watching the Portuguese international for a number of weeks, with Bayern viewing defensive reinforcement as a possible requirement. Advertisement This is because Kim Min-jae has recently been linked with a number of clubs, including Liverpool, AC Milan, and sides from Saudi Arabia, who have all stated their interest in the South Korean. Therefore, Veiga would only be signed should Kim Min-jae depart the Allianz Arena this summer. As stated within the report, Bayern believe that an offer within the region of €35 million would be enough to strike a deal with Chelsea, but negotiations are yet to begin. Veiga, who has already experienced Bundesliga football with FC Augsburg, would also offer versatility to the Bayern backline, being able to operate in the centre of defence as well as at full-back. (EPA Images pic) SEOUL : South Korea hope Son Heung-min's European success can rub off on the national side when the skipper leads them into crucial World Cup qualifiers next week. Fresh from lifting the Europa League trophy with Tottenham Hotspur, Son will captain a South Korea squad named Monday who need just a draw against Iraq in Basra on June 5 to reach the World Cup. Failing that, the Koreans will have another chance to clinch a spot in next year's showpiece in the USA, Canada and Mexico against Kuwait in Seoul five days later. South Korea coach Hong Myung-bo said he hoped to squeeze even more out of his captain before the end of the season after Son won his first major trophy after 10 years at Tottenham. 'He has always done so well for himself individually, and for him to be captain of the team that won such a big title is something we should be proud of,' Hong said of Tottenham's 1-0 win over Manchester United in the Europa League final in Bilbao last week. 'After a long season there is no reward quite like lifting a trophy at the end. 'Hopefully his victory will have some positive impact on the national team.'
