Man held for forgery in Arunachal
Itanagar: A man operating a large-scale forgery setup in Udaipur-III village in Arunachal Pradesh's Changlang district has been arrested, police said. Acting on reliable inputs, a police team led by Diyun police station officer-in-charge Inspector Ongsa Ronrang, in collaboration with the Assam Rifles Dumba, arrested the accused, Changlang Superintendent of Police Kirli Padu said on Tuesday. He said the accused was identified as Mongal Shanti Chakma, also known as Bimol Shanti Chakma. Security forces launched a coordinated search using the e-Sakshya app and in the presence of local witnesses, the official said. The SP said multiple fake birth and income certificates with forged signatures and stamps of Diyun extra assistant commissioner, Scheduled Tribe certificates and Permanent Resident Certificates suspected to be forged and resembling those originating from Tripura, fake CBSE admit cards and HLSC result sheets in the name of the accused, fake residential certificates and other incriminating documens were seized during the raid.

Three arrested for sexually assaulting minor in Arunachal
Last Updated: Itanagar, July 22 (PTI) Three persons have been arrested for sexually assaulting a minor in Arunachal Pradesh's Changlang district, police said on Tuesday. The incident happened near Manabum Nala on July 18, Changlang Superintendent of Police Kirli Padu said. Acting swiftly on a report by a relative of the victim, a police team led by Inspector Ongsa Ronrang arrested the three accused on Tuesday. The SP said cases under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and POCSO Act, 2012, have been registered at Diyun police station against the accused. All accused are in judicial custody, he said.
