Two rare KitKat bars are spotted back on UK shelves as shoppers fill their trolleys with ‘decadent' flavours
CHOC SHOCK Two rare KitKat bars are spotted back on UK shelves as shoppers fill their trolleys with 'decadent' flavours TWO rare KitKat bars have made a surprise return to UK shelves — and sweet-toothed shoppers are already filling their trolleys with the decadent flavours. The fan-favourite treats have been spotted back in stock — sending chocoholics into a frenzy to snap them up before they disappear again. Advertisement 2 KitKat fans are rushing to snap up the returning two flavours before they vanish again Credit: Facebook/Newfoodsuk One of the returning flavours is the indulgent KitKat Honeycomb flavour buzz, packed with crunchy pieces of honeycomb and a rich sweet kick. Also back is the KitKat Gold Rush, a cult classic with crushed caramel crisps. Shoppers have taken to social media to rave about the comeback, saying the bars are "interesting" and "I have to get these!" The limited-edition flavours are available in B&M. Advertisement They've been popping up in stores on and off for the past few years. So fans are warning others to move fast, as they're not expected to stay on shelves for long. Taking to the Facebook group New Foods UK, one member wrote: "Two new KitKats spotted at B&M!" along with a photo attached of the chocolate bars. Excited users flooded the comment section, with one writing: "Mm yummy yummy can't wait to try them cheers everyone." Advertisement Another added: "Very interesting." A third penned: "I have to get these!" KitKat and ketchup viral trend has die-hard fans feeling 'sick'- but some are more disgusted by how they're eating it New flavour A brand new KitKat flavour landed in the UK for the first time - but it's left chocolate lovers divided. The unusual flavour - Lemony Lime - is being described as a "citrusy take on the classic KitKat". Advertisement It's being sold at Sunny's Premier Store in Stirling, which is a family-run corner shop that's earned a huge online following. The store has got a massive 10,800 followers on Instagram as it's become known for stocking rare and sought-after snacks. The Lemony Lime KitKat is the latest rare snack to land at Sunny's Premier - but shoppers can't agree on whether they'd want to try it. Some commenters said "yes please!!!" or "I need me some of those kitkats". Advertisement Another said: "I'd love this one!" But a fourth person said: "NO. Just stop messing with a KitKat! There's no need." And another simply said "ewww". How to save money on chocolate We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar. Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs... Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars. Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere. Websites like let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal. Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced. They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged. Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar. So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger. Other new flavours KitKat has recently launched a series of new flavours to excite chocolate lovers. Advertisement The new KitKat Chunky Funky is a crispy cocoa wafer smothered in a marbled mix of creamy milk and white chocolate. Then there's also the KitKat Chunky Salted Caramel and KitKat Blue Riband Vanilla. The Salted Caramel flavour is like a normal KitKat Chunky but it has salted caramel in its milk chocolate. The Blue Riband Vanilla flavour is inspired by the popular chocolatey snack. Advertisement Elsewhere, supermarket chain Farmfoods has started selling rare Japanese KitKat flavours. They include Matcha, Milk Tea and Strawberry. KitKats are wildly popular in Japan and there have been more than 300 limited edition flavours of the chocolate bar released in the East Asian country. Many of the flavours are released regionally, and there is a popular tradition where people will bring back flavours for their friends and family when they travel to different regions. Shoppers battle heatwave with cooling blanket now £26 in Prime Day deal
As the final hours of Amazon Prime Day tick away, shoppers are snapping up heatwave friendly bargains to help with this weekend's hot temperatures Many will be struggling to sleep as another heatwave embraces the UK this weekend, so ensuring a cool and comfortable experience is a top priority for everyone. Amazon Prime Day runs until midnight tonight and has huge deals on every from Apple Airpods to mammoth bulk buys of KitKats that work out cheaper than supermarkets. But if the weather is a bit much, the OMERAI Cooling Blanket is an Amazon bestseller that has proved a top choice with many shoppers. The summer essential has been reduced to £26.24 in a Prime Day deal, saving 25% off its usual £34.99 price, making it a relatively small investment that shoppers report makes a big difference to your summer nights. One customer even shared that: "We took it away on our holiday to France to help survive the extreme temperatures, and it worked well." Designed specifically for hot sleepers and muggy evenings, this clever blanket is made from cool-to-the-touch, breathable fabric, helping to regulate body temperature and prevent an uncomfortable and restless night. One side features a refreshing, cold-to-the-skin finish, while the other offers a soft, breathable texture for when the temperature finally drops, giving the best conditions no matter the weather. Measuring 150x200cm, it can be used on beds, sofas, or even as a lightweight travel throw on holiday. Its lightweight, packable design of the cooling blanket means it's easily folded into a bag ready for picnics, camping trips, or sunny afternoons in the garden. Alternatively, Oodie has slashed the price of several cooling blankets when you buy two or more online. Elsewhere, Dunelm has recently launched its Soft and Cooling range of bedding too, which is ideal for summer. However, Prime members keen to get the item delivered quickly have snapped up more than 100 in the past month, earning the blanket an Amazon's Choice badge. One happy review read: "I was very sceptical about this purchase, but stand corrected. The fabric is soft and has good weight and texture. Definitely worth the price." Another buyer shared: "My son constantly gets hot, and this was the perfect solution. He even puts it in the freezer for extreme cooling." It does however take some sleepers a while to get accustomed to, with a three-star reviewer explaining: "It takes a while to feel a little bit of relief during this hot weather, but it is a lovely material to sleep with, no added weight, and it does make it a functional temp after your body gets used to it." This offer is an Amazon Prime Day deal so will end at midnight tonight (July 11).

Meet the new Rangers, same as the old Rangers as so-called revolution leaves rivals sniggering
Andy Newport takes the calls ahead of the start of a new era for the Light Blues The Light Blue legions are hoping to see the first signs of a Rangers revolution on Monday as new boss Russell Martin meets his squad for the first time. Trouble is, the group of players he's hoping will provide a fresh outlook at Ibrox looks remarkably similar to the side that failed miserably last term. Max Aarons is set to follow Lyall Cameron in through the door but that's it so far where new arrivals are concerned. Joe Graham, Garrowhill, said: 'Russell Martin will meet-up with his leftovers this coming week and a lot of empty spaces to fill. He will have to move fast as it has been slow, slow, quick, quick, slow on the recruiting front so far. 'I am sure he will be up and running with plenty of quality players in place by then to kick off the main challenge, that is knocking Celtic off their perch, and delivering title 56 in his first season. 'However he has much more to do on the European front as that is so agonisingly too close for comfort. If he can manage success there, then we have got the right man in place this time.' Robert Livingstone, Palm Beach, added: 'It was hard to disagree with the Record jurists in Saturday's paper - it's a big ask for Rangers to take the league when they are still stuck with a number of last season's flops. Time is against them to put a new side together with the right players. 'Fraser Wilson said they need five new signings, from centre half to centre forward. There's the rub, these guys will have no time to find their feet and must hit the ground running from the start. The reality is Celtic's side is already in place." Stephen Mulhearn said: "So the big Rangers revolution starts with bringing in yet another player on loan for the start of the season. Meanwhile, Celtic are signing a Swedish international at a bargain price. "Sorry once again there doesn't look to be a title race again this season. If anything Rangers are weaker after losing key players like Vaclav Cerny, Ianis Hagi and potentially top goalscorer Cyriel Dessers, who also looks likely to jump ship.' Alan Flett responded to one of Saturday's callers: 'Kevin O'Reily says that Celtic have a biscuit tin full of chunky KitKats, but the problem is that they're only half the size they used to be!' Meanwhile, Bomber-gate continues to rumble on after Rangers were fined for John Brown's SFA corruption rant. John Stuart, Blantyre, said: 'What planet are Stuart McLeod, Chris Lowe and the other Rangers fans on? Since when did Irvine Welsh or punters attending a Celtic AGM need to abide by the rules of the SFA? That's free speech for you. 'Brown is a paid Rangers employee and subject to the rules of the governing body. Deal with it, pay the fine and discipline your employee. 'You have more to be concerned about as the most successful club in Scottish Football will leave them in their wake again season. Maybe they are getting their excuses of persecution, victimisation and corruption tee'd up early as their excuses for future failings.' Scott Gowers, Edinburgh, said: 'We all know that Rangers' goal against Hibs was not awarded and an excuse was accepted. Why then did VAR not then award Rangers a penalty as Raskin was clearly being pulled? 'I know that the excuse was accepted but the damning TV evidence begs the question. What will the excuse be for not awarding the penalty? There can be no excuses on this.'

Arthur Gourounlian shares weight loss secret after shedding 9lbs in just 28 days
Dancing With The Stars judge Arthur Gourounlian has revealed he has dropped 9lbs in 28 days. The Armenian-born choreographer began a health transformation last month after feeling like he was beginning to struggle running after his two young children, Blu and Blake. Since undergoing his health journey, he said he has lost an incredible 4.3kg (9lbs) of body fat, in just 28 days. 'It's honestly been fantastic,' Arthur shared. 'I didn't think a 20- minute weights session could make such a big difference—but the results speak for themselves, just look at me!' Determined to kick off his summer feeling strong and energised, Arthur worked with Educogym in Dundrum in Dublin to start his transformation. 'As daddy of my two babies, and with multiple dance, TV and video projects on the go, time is always a challenge,' Arthur admitted. 'But Educogym made it 'doable'. Just 20 minutes a session, 3 times a week, I could train, work, have fun with the girls, and still feel like I'd done something powerful for myself. That balance has been priceless.' Using advanced BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) technology, with a special 'In Body' scanner, Jamie and his team at Educogym pinpoint exactly where the body needs to change—tailoring every exercise rep, set, and meal to maximise fat loss and muscle gain. 'The secret is resistance training, great nutrition and a dedicated mindset,' says Jamie. 'We help people visualise who they want to become—fitter, stronger, more alive. Arthur had that vision from day one. He knew what he wanted to achieve, he was committed and focused. That's what powers real transformation. 'We actually lose an average of ½ lb of muscle each year once we reach the age of 30, so it is important to maintain strength and muscle tone for overall health,' said Jamie. 'Certainly, there is no magic wand to stop the effects of ageing but with our help, and with this programme people can see results very quickly.' Arthur told us previously at the Platinum VIP Style Awards: 'It's only a 20 minute workout, but it's all about the food. And I'm learning, instead of eating five sandwiches, I'm going for one. And it's kind of like, makes me feel good. And now I feel bad if I eat lots of chocolate. 'Instead of having five million KitKats, I'm having one, just a little taste, but I haven't had any sweets. It feels good. 'I have two kids. I just want to run after them. You know, longevity. 'I knew I was getting heavy after being a dancer. I was like, 'my legs are getting heavy.' 'I've got always so much energy, energy I always have. But I was like, You know what? I'm getting heavy. I'm going to try to look after myself.'

KitKats are wildly popular in Japan and there have been more than 300 limited edition flavours of the chocolate bar released in the East Asian country. Many of the flavours are released regionally, and there is a popular tradition where people will bring back flavours for their friends and family when they travel to different regions. Nestle, which owns KitKat, has attributed the chocolate's success in Japan to this tradition. Now some of these flavours have appeared in Farmfoods in multipacks. A shopper shared the spot on the Facebook group Food Finds UK Official. The Matcha flavour is based on the traditional Japanese drink made from powdered green tea. Meanwhile the Milk Tea flavour has creamy milk chocolate flavoured with black tea extract. The Strawberry version has a strawberry-infused white chocolate coating. It's made with real strawberry juice powder and pieces. Fans mourn discontinued KitKat candy bar they will never see again – and they say it was 'the best one' The bars are usually difficult to get hold of in the UK although they can be bought from websites selling imported sweets. For example, Candy Mail is selling a pack of the Strawberry flavour for £5.99. It's not clear how much the packs are selling for in Farmfoods. Which other unusual KitKat flavours can you get hold of? Nestle has recently released a range of new KitKat flavours to delight chocolate fans. KitKat Nescafe Mocha Flavour is a collaboration with the instant coffee maker and combines espresso, chocolate and milk. It's been spotted in Sainsbury's and Waitrose and on Ocado, where it's selling for £2.20 to £2.25. Another brand mash-up is the KitKat Chunky Rolo, which has been spotted in some convenience stores in the UK. The bars, which are filled with the famous Rolo caramel, are usually available in Canada. Earlier this year, Nestle also launched a new-style KitKat sharing bar in three flavours. The exciting new flavours are Double Chocolate, Salted Caramel and Hazelnut.
