Nicole Kidman and Anna Wintour shine in star-studded Wimbledon final lineup

Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman and Vogue's Anna Wintour lead the stars in center stage in the royal box during Sunday's Wimbledon men's final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner Nicole Kidman and Vogue editor-in-chief Dame Anna Wintour lead the glamour in the royal box at Wimbledon's men's singles final on Sunday, capturing attention as they enjoyed the hotly anticipated match between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. Oscar-winning actress Nicole, 58, looked as chic as ever as she modelled a crisp white blazer and shirt, with her new blonde locks styled to perfection. ‌ The actress was pictured smiling and laughing as she appeared to be in an engaged conversation with fashionista Wintour, 75, who stayed true to her iconic style with dark oversized sunglasses, a floral-embellished dress, and a bold green statement necklace. ‌ The exciting day of tennis attracted a whole host of other notable guests too, including Keira Knightley, who sat nearby Nicole and Anna alongside her husband, James Righton, who is best known as part of the Klaxons. Keira, 40, opted for a clean, belted white ensemble complemented by black sunglasses and a classic pearl necklace. Meanwhile, her husband looked suave as he matched her summer vibe in a cream double-breasted suit and tie. ‌ Seated next to the loved-up couple were Irish actors Andrew Scott, 48, and P aul Mescal, 29, who recently starred together in All of Us Strangers. Scott, famed for his roles in Fleabag and Ripley, wore a beige light suit paired with gold-rimmed sunglasses. Meanwhile, Normal People star Paul, who is also widely known for Gladiator II, added a splash of colour with a patterned tie over a white shirt and dark navy jacket. ‌ The famous friends appeared to be having a great time as they were pictured laughing together and chatting with Kiera as they watched the match between Alcaraz and Sinner. Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey also made an appearance at the Grand Finale at Wimbledon today as he was seen laughing while chatting to legend Andre Agassi as he walked into the Royal Box. ‌ The How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days star, 55, was all smiles as he lapped up the sunshine centre court while dressed in a suave white three-piece suit complete with a green patterned tie. Matthew was joined by acting royalty John Lithgow as he took his seat at the event. Among the royal attendees were Peep Show's Sophie Winkleman and her husband, Lord Frederick Windsor, the latter being a son of Prince Michael of Kent. ‌ Sophie, who is officially styled as Lady Frederick, looked elegant as she modelled a vibrant green sleeveless printed dress as they arrived for the day's matches. Elsewhere, Kensington Palace confirmed the Prince and Princess of Wales would also attend the final. ‌ Kate Middleton, 43, patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, received a standing ovation on Saturday when she presented the women's singles trophy to Iga Swiatek, highlighting her continuing support for the tournament. On Sunday, Kate looked gorgeous in a royal blue dress as she attended the Wimbledon final with her husband, Prince William and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Last year, Kate presented the Wimbledon men's final trophy to Alcaraz in her second public engagement since she announced her cancer diagnosis. ‌ And it was another scorcher today for attendees as temperatures climbed to 27°C in southwest London as excitement built for the match that would close out two weeks of thrilling tennis action. The royal box was full of excitement as it set the scene for a memorable finale between Spain's defending champion Alcaraz and Italy's world number one Sinner.

Jo Whiley reveals which legendary rockers got her banned from using a Winnebago at Glastonbury after 'trashing' her on-site motorhome

Glastonbury wouldn't be Glastonbury without festival stalwart Jo Whiley, but the BBC DJ admits she's been banned from using a Winnebago on the sprawling site. Whiley has been a regular presence at the summer festival since the 1990s, held annually at Worthy Farm in Somerset and responsible for staging some of the biggest names in music. But she admits her role as main presenter for the BBC's Glastonbury coverage left her in hot water with festival organisers after she inadvertantly damaged one of its on-site motorhomes while interviewing a series of headliners. 'We did the Winnebago thing and it got trashed and then we weren't allowed to have another one, Whiley, 59, told The Times. 'We did shows from there, so we had the Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen, Klaxons, Mika and Amy Winehouse — they kept coming into the Winnebago to do interviews because it was the only dry place.' She added: 'I remember interviewing Amy Winehouse and Blake [Fielder-Civil] from basically my bedroom, with my kids there, too. 'I can't remember exactly who was responsible for the trashing, but I'm sure the Klaxons played a fairly large part.' These days the DJ stays in a local hotel while reporting from Glastonbury, an event that she admits has changed vastly since her visits to Worth Farm more than 30 years ago. 'I remember our tent, which was right in front of the Pyramid Stage, sliding down a hill towards the stage,' she recalled. 'We left at five o'clock the following morning, after cooking bacon sandwiches on the platform of the train station. Accommodation has improved since then.' Whiley previously insisted her children will 'never be nepo babies' even though she has achieved huge career success over the years. The broadcaster, who raises India, Jude, Cassius, and Coco with band manager husband Steve Morton, has been a regular face of the station since 1993. In addition to her very successful time in radio, Whiley has also seen great success as a TV presenter. But despite all her success, she has claimed her four children will never be nepo babies as the label alone 'horrifies them', according to The Sun. She told the publication: 'My kids will never be nepo babies; they are very determined never ever to make it because I'm their mum. 'It really horrifies them - the thought that anybody would ever employ them because of what I do. 'So they're so determined to get jobs and do work on their own merits, and they will never take advantage of me at all.' The BBC Radio Two presenter also revealed that life was not so sex, drugs and rock'n'roll for her in the nineties as she suffered from anxiety when DJing on stage to large crowds. She told Women's Health: 'I remember doing one gig and I was just so scared, I thought I can't go on like this. This is ridiculous. It's ruining my life because I'm just such a ball of anxiety. 'But then I realised how happy it was making people when I do these gigs and that was a game changer.'

BBC star banned from camping at Glastonbury after 'trashing' campervan

The 59-year-old radio DJ says she is forbidden from camping at Glastonbury after an incident a few years back. BBC radio DJ Jo Whiley is no longer allowed to hire a campervan during Glastonbury after one got "trashed" in a previous year at the festival. The 59-year-old broadcaster spilled the details about when she stayed in a Winnebago motorhome on-site. Jo, who hosts coverage of the event for the BBC, says she had ended up recording interviews from the hired campervan. She shared that stars such as Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen, The Klaxons, and Amy Winehouse attempted to stay dry in the van when the British weather took over the festival. ‌ The aftermath saw the Winnebago in a state of disarray, leading to Jo being prohibited from hiring a motor home for future festivals, she told The Times. Nowadays, she opts for a hotel stay close to the festival grounds, alongside fellow BBC personalities. ‌ But her lush Glasto hotel days are a stark contrast to her teenage years when she experienced her tent sliding towards the Pyramid Stage due to heavy rain. Reflecting on those early days, she shared: "I remember our tent, which was right in front of the Pyramid Stage, sliding down a hill towards the stage. We left at five o'clock the following morning, after cooking bacon sandwiches on the platform of the train station. "Accommodation has improved since then. We did the Winnebago thing and it got trashed and then we weren't allowed to have another one. "We did shows from there, so we had the Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen, Klaxons, Mika and Amy Winehouse - they kept coming into the Winnebago to do interviews because it was the only dry place. ‌ "I remember interviewing Amy Winehouse and Blake [Fielder-Civil] from basically my bedroom, with my kids there, too. I can't remember exactly who was responsible for the trashing, but I'm sure the Klaxons played a fairly large part." Jo now reveals she has maintained the same quarters at the hotel for the last decade and expresses how it "feels like home" whenever she makes her way to Glastonbury, reported Bristol Live. ‌ Those at this year's festival are being spared from replicating Jo's waterlogged Glasto experience, as scorching temperatures have been recorded. Despite some drops in temperature leading to showers recently, Worthy Farm basked in highs of 27C on Saturday, nudging towards the sweltering 32.2C peak from 2017. This edition of the festival has already featured an array of world-famous performers, including Charli XCX, The 1975 and Neil Young. ‌ Olivia Rodrigo will headline the Pyramid Stage tonight, June 29, after Rod Stewart takes the legendary teat-time slot. Viewers can catch live broadcast festivities from Worthy Farm through the BBC, with Jo hosting alongside Clara Amfo, Lauren Laverne, Jack Saunders, Huw Stephens, and Jamz Supernova. As presenter, Jo has grown quite fond of Glastonbury Festival, to the extent that she hosted her very own "GlastonWhiley" during its hiatus year. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Jo Whiley claims she is 'banned' from camping at the Glastonbury festival

Jo Whiley has claimed she is forbidden from hiring motorhomes to stay in at the Glastonbury festival as she previously 'trashed' one - so now she stays in a hotel instead Jo Whiley has claimed she is banned from camping at the iconic Glastonbury festival. The annual music event is back this weekend with headlining stars including The 1975, Rod Stewart and Olivia Rodrigo. BBC radio host Jo, 59, has been presenting coverage from the event across the decades and has chatted to some of the biggest hellraisers of the music world. The star, who will return to Worthy farm to helm highlights from the 2025 festival, has been sharing some of her experiences from over the years. ‌ Reflecting on her accommodation experiences, Jo says she has been banned from camping on site at the music event. She recalled once hiring a Winnebago motor home - only for this to get trashed as there was foul weather the year she was there. ‌ Now she stays in a hotel near to the festival grounds - keeping herself away from the traditional camping experience. She explains it is a far cry from when she first went to Glastonbury as a teenager, and found her rain-soaked tent sliding towards one of stages. She told The Times: 'I remember our tent, which was right in front of the Pyramid Stage, sliding down a hill towards the stage. We left at five o'clock the following morning, after cooking bacon sandwiches on the platform of the train station. 'Accommodation has improved since then. We did the Winnebago thing and it got trashed and then we weren't allowed to have another one. We did shows from there, so we had the Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen, Klaxons, Mika and Amy Winehouse — they kept coming into the Winnebago to do interviews because it was the only dry place. 'I remember interviewing Amy Winehouse and Blake [Fielder-Civil] from basically my bedroom, with my kids there, too. I can't remember exactly who was responsible for the trashing, but I'm sure the Klaxons played a fairly large part.' Now much more used to glamorous accommodation in a hotel, Jo says her hotel "feels like home" whenever she attends the festival. ‌ The forecast for the festival this weekend appears favourable - with temperatures expected to range between 17C and 29C - however light rain may affect the grounds on Friday. Campers may want to ensure they secure their tents too, as some strong breezes are also expected at the event. Sir Rod Stewart has shared his excitement about playing the festival. He will play the teatime Legend's Slot on Sunday - a titled that he isn't overly thrilled about. ‌ He told the BBC: "I just wish they wouldn't call it the tea time slot. That sounds like pipe and slippers, doesn't it?" However, he went on to tease fans what to expect when he takes to the stage. He said: "Usually I do well over two hours so there's still a load of songs we won't be able to do. But we've been working at it. "I'm not gonna make any announcements between songs. I'll do one number, shout 'next', and go straight into the next one. I'm going to get in as many songs I can." The singer explained that he usually plays for over two hours when he is on tour and that Glastonbury organisers initially offered him only 75 minutes for his slot - but he was able to negotiate this up to 90 minutes instead.
