Jalen Brunson Makes Powerful Statement on Jayson Tatum's Injury

Jalen Brunson and his New York Knicks are one win away from returning to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since the 1999-2000 NBA season. The Knicks took a 3-1 lead after winning Game 4 121-113. They are now headed back to TD Garden to try to close out the series in front of the Boston Celtics fans and advance one step closer to the NBA Finals. Advertisement The Celtics will be without Jayson Tatum, whose 2024-25 season ended due to an Achilles injury. Boston is still a dangerous opponent, even without their biggest star on the court. Even so, the consensus among fans is that the series is pretty much over. Then again, you should never rule out a champion, especially during the playoffs. New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (11) argues with an official. Mandatory Credit: Wendell Cruz-Imagn Images Brunson was one of the first players to show support for Tatum in the wake of his injury in Game 4 of the series. After the Achilles injury was confirmed and the player underwent surgery, many more reacted to the bad news. Ahead of tonight's game, a clip shared by "Knicks Videos" on X shows the former Dallas Mavericks' guard reflecting on the impact Tatum has made on his team and all the things he's yet to achieve in the association. Advertisement "I feel for him," Brunson said. "It's an unfortunate situation for a player like him. The league needs Jayson Tatum. What he's been able to do in his career has been remarkable. He still has a lot to do in his career, meaning he has a lot of time to make an impact and make a name for his legacy. What he's done is special." Tatum's second-round series finished with the forward averaging 25.0 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists in four games. The Celtics were upset in the first two games of the series, at home, and couldn't tie things up at Madison Square Garden. Even if the Celtics pull off the 3-1 comeback, the competition will get considerably harder in the next rounds. They can still try to make a run given all the quality players they have on the roster, but being without their No. 1 option will be tough for the C's. Is Kylie Jenner the Knicks Good Luck Charm? An Investigation

Ardent sports fans tend to cling to any bizarre theory that points to a potential win for their team. For New York Mets supporters, the McDonald's Grimace mascot was a good-luck charm during the 2024 season. A common octopus was deemed an oracle during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. And according to some New York Knicks fans, their team's fate in the 2025 NBA playoffs lies in the youngest member of the Kardashian/Jenner empire, Kylie Jenner. Ever since Kylie began accompanying her boyfriend, lifelong Knicks fans Timothée Chalamet, to this season's playoff games, a pattern has emerged. The May 12 Knicks-Celtics game that Kymothée attended wasn't only where they managed to be captured in the most romantic photo of all time (personal opinion), but it's also the night that the NY team defeated the Celtics 121-113 and advanced to Game 5. And Thursday night, after the Indiana Pacers took the lead in the Eastern Conference finals, Ms. Jenner worked her magic yet again, gracing Madison Square Garden with her presence, and getting a courtside view of the Knicks' 111-94 triumph. Now this situation has some Knicks diehards wondering if Kylie could make herself free for Game 6 on Saturday night. But not everyone is convinced. One former Knicks player, Chris Childs, told TMZ Sports that the theory is "reaching a little too far." "If anybody is a good luck charm," he says, "it's the players on the court. It's Jalen [Brunson] and Josh [Hart] and all the other guys that are good luck charms because they're the ones that have to get out there and get the job done." But the Kylie-attended game scores don't lie, Chris! She just might be your team's raven-haired, Dilara-clad beacon of hope! Meanwhile, it seems like Kylie has (totally valid) ulterior motives for rooting for Knicks wins this season. She recently reposted an iconic Sex and the City clip on TikTok, in which Samantha states, "I don't get laid unless the Knicks win." So please, for Kylie's sake, Knicks in 7.

'A drug dealer': Stefon Diggs accused of handing out ‘pink cocaine' on boat party with women as NFL stays silent

Stefon Diggs faces scrutiny after a video surfaced (Image via AP) New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs is back in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. A recently surfaced video shows the star NFL player on a boat with a group of women, allegedly handing them a bag filled with pink crystals. The footage, which quickly spread across social media, has fueled intense speculation over the nature of the substance — with many users suspecting it to be 'pink cocaine,' though there is no confirmation of that claim. Stefon Diggs under fire as viral boat video ignites drug-related rumors In the viral video, Diggs is seen chatting casually with three women who reportedly referred to him as 'Daddy' before he passed around the bag of pink material. 'Yikes: NFL fans are speculating that Stefon Diggs handed these three girls what looks to be pink c*caine after he asked them to call him Daddy,' one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Others followed suit with similar reactions, suggesting Diggs was 'serving pink cocaine' and even labeling him 'a football player, pimp and a drug dealer. ' Despite the wave of viral commentary, there is currently no official evidence confirming that the substance was illicit. Still, the video has created a media storm, putting both Diggs and the Patriots in a difficult position during the offseason. Coach Mike Vrabel and the Patriots respond with discretion When asked about the situation, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel addressed the controversy during a media session ahead of an optional team practice, which Diggs did not attend. 'It's something that we're aware of. Obviously, we want to make great decisions on and off the field,' Vrabel said. He added that his discussions with Diggs 'will remain between him I and the club.' The NFL has chosen not to comment on the situation at this time, with a league spokesperson telling the Associated Press there would be no statement regarding the video. Also Read: T.J. The two were seen leaving the Met Gala together earlier this month and later sat courtside at a Knicks-Celtics playoff game. Cardi B, who filed for divorce from rapper Offset last year, was reportedly also on the boat during the controversial outing. As the video continues to circulate online, all eyes are on the NFL and Diggs' camp for an official response.

Dave Portnoy didn't wait long to twist the knife into Knicks

Dave Portnoy put a nail in the coffin for the Knicks after their second straight tough loss to the Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals in New York on Friday night. 'Beat a pesky Pistons team [in the first round] and an injured Celtics team. Lit the city on fire for a couple weeks. Great memories for the franchise. One of the best seasons in history of franchise.' 4 Jalen Brunson drives on Andrew Nembhard during the third quarter of the Knicks' 114-109 Game 2 home loss to the Pacers on May 23, 2025. Portnoy reshared The Post's back page, which featured an image of Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton mimicking Reggie Miller's choke gesture, after Indiana rallied to beat the Knicks 138-135 in overtime to steal Game 1 on Wednesday night. Haliburton hit a long jumper that bounced high off the back of the rim and in to tie the game at 125-125 as time expired in regulation, and Indiana held off the Knicks in overtime. 4 Tyrese Haliburton is mobbed by teammates as he makes a choking motion after hitting the game-tying shot at the end of regulation of Knicks' Game 1 home loss to the Pacers on May 21, 2025. Pacers forward Pascal Siakim was the hero of the night with a playoff career-high 39 points. 'This series has a ton to go, but I can't help but wonder if Knicks fans got ahead of themselves with 2nd round victory,' Portnoy wrote on Thursday, referring to the Knicks eliminating the Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. 'If they lose to the Pacers this choke sign will be lasting image of their season. They'll be a punchline yet again. Their entire season will be for nothing.' Many stars attended the game on Wednesday evening, including LSU alum and gymnast Livvy Dunne, actors Timothee Chalamet, Ben Stiller and Tracy Morgan, businesswoman Martha Stewart and comedians Larry David and Susie Essman were all spotted courtside. "og masterclass incoming," a user quote-tweeted the original post. Another fan posted, "As long as she's here, Knicks are winning every home game for the rest of the playoffs."
