Inside Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's Venetian vows
Welcome back! It's a hot one, so I'm sure you're cooling down with water. Turns out, picking the right bottled water isn't all that easy. One reporter tested out seven kinds and crowned his favorite. On the agenda: Seven successful men shared with BI how they optimize their mornings. Luxury gyms are becoming the new third space for many young people. Partiful, Luma, Paperless Post: How online invitations became a splintered mess. Newly built homes are changing, but homebuyers really want these four features. But first: Wedding bells. This week's dispatch Inside a billionaire's Venetian vows We're all just nosy, huh? It's why the world has been watching as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former newscaster turned philanthropist Lauren Sánchez got married in a not-so-private event spanning three days in Venice. "This magical place has gifted us unforgettable memories," Bezos and Sánchez, who met in 2019 and got engaged in 2023, said on their wedding invitation about the floating city. Some 200 guests were expected to attend the festivities in one of the most romantic cities in the world, the city said in a statement. And A-listers were spotted as they touched down, including Tom Brady, Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, and Ivanka Trump with Jared Kushner. There's no telling how much the billionaire's wedding celebration will cost, but reported estimates range from $11.5 million to $35 million. Luxury wedding planner and founder of Italian Knot, Roberta Camille Lione, told BI that although the latter figure feels a bit high, it's "not impossible — especially if the couple is sparing no expense across accommodations, logistics, entertainment, and design." Still, not everyone is thrilled that Bezos and Sánchez have picked Venice for their wedding. Local protesters have erected signs across the city, including one that reads, "No space for Bezos." (Get it? Because he founded Blue Origin.) They've also said they plan to disrupt the nuptials. However, Jessica Testoni, who runs a small souvenir stall in Venice, told our senior reporter on the ground, Joshua Nelken-Zitser, that she hopes it's not the last celebrity wedding to happen in her town. "On this occasion, I'm happy Bezos and Sánchez are getting married here," she said. "It helps businesses like mine." It's an interesting perspective given this behemoth of a wedding is happening during so much economic anxiety. That said, whether you're watching on purpose or by sheer force, despite the secretive nature of the nuptials, here's one thing we know for sure: this type of extravagance may only come once in a lifetime. Morning routines FTW Seven successful men — from across industries including venture capital, equity research, and advertising — shared their morning rituals with BI, from running long distances to making latte art. Most said they're early risers, waking up between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. Many said they started their days with exercise, though some shared creative habits like journaling. Tea or coffee is essential. The all-inclusive third space For many people, luxury gyms have become more than just a gym. Popular franchises like Equinox or Life Time offer amenities that go beyond fitness, like complimentary childcare services, tidy workspaces, and sometimes, poolside bars. Even if it takes extra saving or tight budgeting to afford a $200+ a month membership, these luxury gym goers say it's worth it. More than a gym. Only threw this Partiful 4 u Young people are sending invites to everything from "Love Island" watch parties to scheduled cry sessions. There's a whole class of apps to support this invitation overload — Partiful to Luma and Apple Invites, to name a few. While it might not matter which platform your party invite is on, the glut of invitations is making it harder to understand what's expected of us at each social gathering. The new RSVP etiquette. Hot home trends for 2025 American homes look a lot different these days. Many newly built homes are not just pricier, but they're smaller, too. That doesn't mean buyers are sacrificing comfort and quality, though. The National Association of Homebuilders surveyed 3,000 recent and prospective buyers and found four home trends shaping homebuying right now. From smart tech to large kitchens. What we're watching this weekend "Barbara Walters: Tell Me Everything": This Hulu documentary puts a spotlight on the legendary broadcast journalist who never held back on asking tough questions, whether it was a world leader or a famous star. Marvel's "Ironheart": This Disney+ miniseries picks up with Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), aka Ironheart, following the events of "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever." "The Bear": The much-anticipated fourth season of the acclaimed Hulu series is finally here and follows Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) as he continues his dream to run one of the best restaurants in Chicago. What to shop Heels you won't kick off at dinner: Our beauty editor walked for a mile in each pair she tested for our guide to the most comfortable heels. After a lot of distance and blistering, she narrowed it down to 18 styles. Sweat in style: Ditch the ratty old gym tee — investing in the right workout clothes will move with you no matter what exercise you're engaging in. These are the best brands to find them for women, from matching sets to workout dresses. Budget-friendly vacuums: After years of testing dozens of models, we know that you don't need to spend hundreds for reliable performance. The crumbs won't know how much you saved on these affordable vacuum cleaners. More of this week's top reads: Snack duty at my child's preschool nearly broke me. Then I decided to stop caring about kale chips. A woman did yoga every day for 5 years. Here's how her body and diet changed. I shopped at Walmart and Target to compare their Pride Month collections. They weren't easy to find. I made detailed plans for my 4-day solo trip to Spain, but some of the best moments happened when they fell apart. A man gained weight eating ultra-processed foods he thought were healthy. Now, he's 50 pounds lighter thanks to three habits. Pixar just had its worst opening weekend ever with 'Elio.' Are original movies dead? HENRYs with kids say 6-figure salaries just aren't cutting it. Getting tickets for fitness competitions like Hyrox is almost as hard as seeing Taylor Swift.

How Gen Z is transforming the wedding industry & shaking it up
After sending one of his clients a quote for custom save-the-date cards, Jove Meyer, a wedding planner and designer based in New York City, received an unexpected response from the bride. "She was like, 'My friend made this digital save-the-date with AI in the car on the way to work,'" said Meyer, who has worked in the wedding industry since 2008. Welcome to the Gen Z age of weddings. With their native digital fluency, pervasive connectivity via social media and comfort with artificial intelligence tools, members of this generation, born approximately between 1997 and 2012, are transforming the traditions, logistics and aesthetics of modern weddings. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Play War Thunder now for free War Thunder Play Now Undo "With previous generations, you got a planner, they presented the options and you picked," Meyer said. "With these kids-and Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok-visual inspiration and aspiration are everywhere. They're being smart with the resources they have and being creative with the technology and tools that are available, and it's shaking up the industry." Last year, about one-third of newlyweds were Gen Z, according to the Knot, a wedding planning website. Live Events Many Gen Z couples use social media as a core wedding-planning tool, scouring Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and Reddit for ideas, advice and vendors. But these platforms are more than that: They're a space for comparison with peers. They are also the primary place where couples and their guests share photos and videos, and where newlyweds put themselves on display for the consumption of others. "I'm Gen Z, and we all grew up wanting to be YouTubers," said Lauren Ladouceur, who started working as a wedding content creator after drawing online attention for live-posting photos and videos from her wedding in 2022. "Gen Z is media savvy, and they're also the most curated generation that I've ever met. My millennial clients are very much like, If this is cringey, I don't care. My Gen Z couples want it to look candid, but every piece of hair has been put in place perfectly." Existing in a highly saturated attention economy means future brides and grooms are often searching for ways to stand out amid the noise. Milana Ayvazova, a senior event designer at Revelry Event Designers in Los Angeles, said the company had worked on weddings where there were life-size topiaries in the shape of a bride and groom's dogs; 100 feet of French-style storefronts for a welcome party; and a station where guests could decorate rancher hats to take home as favors. Another popular approach is customization-of everything. This may include gift bags, water bottles, hats, linens, cocktail napkins, bathroom hand towels, makeup wipes, and even emergency kits with tampons. With enough willpower and funding, all of these can be made to match a theme. Where once there were simple monograms, there are now logos and even family crests, said Ceci Johnson, the owner of Ceci New York, a graphic design studio specialising in invitations and event branding. Though the cost of weddings has gone up by about 18% in the past five years, members of Gen Z spend significantly less per wedding-$27,000 on average-than millennials, who clock in at $38,000, according to The Knot. Wedding planners have noticed that Gen Zers seem more particular about what they spend their money on and might have lower salaries because of their age. "We used to be able to show two florists, and now I show 10 to 15 before they make a decision," said Fallon Carter, who owns a wedding planning company in New York City. "There's constant pushback on, Can we negotiate this lower? They go through every single expense line - how do we get it down from $15,000 to $12,000 for the flowers?" Ayvazova noted one major downside to the endless information floating around online or being served up through AI chatbots. "People come with these inspo images, 'I want this and this,' and it's not a real rendering," Ayvazova said. "It's not to scale, you can't get this height in your space, and where are you going to rig these panels from? We have to explain that it's not realistic sometimes."

VOSK Launches Sculptural Handmade Candle Collection, Elevating Ethical Decor for Modern Interiors
Vero Beach, Florida, June 24, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — VOSK, an artisan candle brand, launches its collection of vegan handmade candles with unique sculptural designs. A family-owned small business in Florida, the brand introduces a fresh new take on ornamental candles. Natural, modern, and texturally rich — a candle you won't want to burn (but absolutely can). Founded in 2024 and now making its public debut, VOSK is introducing five signature designs — each hand-poured, vegan, and uniquely textured. Created as functional art objects, these candles combine visual form and botanical fragrance to appeal to design-forward, eco-conscious consumers. 'We wanted to offer something people couldn't find on store shelves: truly individual, visually compelling candles, and consciously made,' said Oleg Piskunov, founder of VOSK. 'This launch is the culmination of over a year of prototyping, testing, and building a family-run studio we can be proud of.' The candles come in different names, with each describing its design feature: Blossom – With a form that recalls blooming tulips and pinecones, Blossom candles feature segmented wave patterns and are available in soft hues like merlot pink, bronze, gray, and ocean blue. Each variant is paired with gentle, natural scents such as lavender, cedarwood, wet stone, and emerald forest. – With a form that recalls blooming tulips and pinecones, Blossom candles feature segmented wave patterns and are available in soft hues like merlot pink, bronze, gray, and ocean blue. It was created for those who prefer subtle ambiance over bold fragrance. Vortex – VOSK's most dramatic piece. Vortex candles feature inward-spiraling patterns and deeper tones, paired with mysterious scent profiles like smoldering spices, dark wood, and green botanicals. All designs are vegan, cruelty-free, and made from eco-conscious wax blends. No parabens, phthalates, or synthetic dyes. Packaging is plastic-free and recyclable, aligning with the brand's mission of 'candles with a conscience.' Why It Matters: Timely Launch, Thoughtful Values This launch arrives at a time when both consumer tastes and environmental values are shifting. According to a 2024 study by Statista, 63% of U.S. home décor shoppers say sustainability is a deciding factor in their purchases. VOSK's official entry into the market answers this demand with a product that combines ethics with aesthetics — something few mass-produced candle brands can offer. 'We're not just selling candles; we're offering something more personal,' said Piskunov. 'Every item is touched by human hands. Every scent pairing is intentional. And every customer is treated like a friend, not a transaction.' As part of the launch, VOSK has also debuted its online store at where customers can browse the full collection, enjoy free shipping, and sign up for the brand's 'Closest Fiend' loyalty program — which offers a permanent 5% discount for returning buyers. More Than a Product: A Design Philosophy What sets VOSK apart isn't just the candle — it's the philosophy behind it. The brand resists mass production in favor of a slow-crafted, small-batch model. The result: no two candles are exactly alike, making each piece not just décor, but a collectible. The scents, sourced from natural aromatic oils, are delicate and layered, designed to enhance a space without overwhelming it. VOSK intentionally skips overpowering fragrance profiles in favor of subtle complexity — creating a sensory experience that's meant to soothe, not saturate. The visual language of the brand is equally intentional. The sculptural silhouettes make these candles display-worthy even when unlit. Whether perched on a minimalist shelf, styled into a tablescape, or wrapped as a gift, VOSK candles blur the line between utility and art. Now Available Nationwide VOSK candles are now available for purchase online at The brand currently ships throughout the U.S. and offers a streamlined, customer-centric shopping experience with an emphasis on transparency and quality. Shoppers are encouraged to explore the full range of products and scents and to follow the brand's journey on Instagram: @ and Facebook: VOSK Candles. Handmade. Seriously. Decorative candles that double as modern design objects. About VOSK VOSK specializes in handmade, vegan, and decorative candles that double as modern design pieces. Materialists Is The Film Of The Summer – Here's Where To Shop Dakota Johnson's Outfits
Proenza Schouler, Odette Strapless Dress Bottega Veneta, Knot Sandal Reformation, Nadira Dress Converse, All Star Ox In Black Bottega Veneta Tortoiseshell Sunglasses RED/DONE,1950s Boxy T-shirt Paris, Texas, Anja Knee High Boots Nobody's Child, Pinstripe Blazer Abercrombie And Fitch, Scarlett Suiting Mini Skort Leset Jane, Belted Double-Breasted Wool-Blend Trench Ralph Lauren, Baseball Cap Gucci, Rectangular Sunglasses As of late, Dakota Johnson has become social media's beloved queen of deadpan humour, thanks to her effortlessly witty lines that spark chaotic (and hilarious) interview moments. But her effortless charm goes beyond quick comebacks. Her street style and red carpet looks are always classic and elegant, and with Kate Young as her stylist, that comes as no surprise. So, naturally, when Johnson arrived on the set of her latest rom-com, Materialists , we expected show-stopping outfits - and she certainly delivered. The best part? Most of her looks were made up of brands you already know and love. In Materialists , Johnson stars as Lucy, a matchmaker caught in a toxic love triangle with John (Chris Evans) and Harry (Pedro Pascal). Although the film has already been released in the U.S, it won't be in cinemas in the UK until 16th August - but that hasn't stopped us from already spotting the best outfits worn by Johnson. Whether we've seen them via set photos or in the trailer, her outfits are already tantalising the internet, with fans eager to know where Johnson's uncomplicated (but exceptionally chic) looks are from, including that particular floral Reformation dress. While we're used to seeing Johnson in looks from Gucci, Saint Laurent and Ferragamo, you'll be relieved to know that the high street is where most of her stellar selection of outfits come from, including Reformation, Dôen and adidas. There's excellent news for anyone looking to replicate her looks, too, because plenty of these pieces are, somehow, still in stock. We've rounded up all her favourite looks for you to shop below. But hurry - we suspect they'll sell out, even before Materialists reaches our screens. This Proenza Schouler dress has already generated much conversation online since the film came out in the US. It's typical of Johnson's style in the film: simple, chic and understated. She wears it with Bottega Veneta's Silver Knot Heel Sandals. 1. Proenza Schouler, Odette Strapless Dress 2. Bottega Veneta, Knot Sandal In a more dressed-down scene, Johnson wears the Reformation Nadira dress with a grey hoodie tied around her waist and a classic pair of Converse. 3. Reformation, Nadira Dress 4. Converse, All Star Ox In Black Another floral choice, this time a Dôen top paired with straight leg blue jeans and a pair of adidas Gazelles in green. 5. Dôen, Alona Top Sensing a pattern? Dôen's floral dress with a cascading ruffle neckline might just be our favourite look so far. 6. Dôen, Nevara Dress 7. Bottega Veneta Tortoiseshell Sunglasses Nailing the effortless off-duty vibe, Johnson's cool-girl baseball cap combined with a crisp white tee and a shoulder-wrapped red knit is great - and almost every item is available to shop on the high street. 8. RED/DONE,1950s Boxy T-shirt 9. New Era MLB Core Classic 10. Samba OG Sneakers There's nothing more city-chic than a pinstripe. In this scene, Johnson wears a two piece with a white satin blouse underneath, but the real show stopper here are the Paris, Texas boots. Her skirt and blazer are both out of stock, but you can shop very similar alternatives from Nobody's Child and Abercrombie and Fitch. 11. Paris, Texas, Anja Knee High Boots 12. Nobody's Child, Pinstripe Blazer 13. Abercrombie And Fitch, Scarlett Suiting Mini Skort While perhaps a touch too warm for the current balmy weather, Johnson was spotted filming an outdoor scene in a timeless camel trench coat. Though her outerwear may lean on the luxe side, her choice of footwear and accessories are refreshingly accessible - she wore a pair of classic Nike Daybreaks (now out of stock) and a Ralph Lauren baseball cap. 14. Leset Jane, Belted Double-Breasted Wool-Blend Trench 15. Ralph Lauren, Baseball Cap Looking incredibly chic, Johnson's character wore a sheer Simkhai top while walking the streets of New York City. Miraculously, her exact top is still available to shop, which is great news for anyone looking for a sultry black top for the summer. The best part? You can shop her Gucci sunglasses and her cool-girl Nike Cortez trainers, too. 16. Simkhai, Semi-Sheer Top 17. Gucci, Rectangular Sunglasses 18. Nike, Cortez Trainers Emma Richardson is a fashion commerce writer for Grazia. Netherlands Picks Sleijpen to Succeed Knot at Central Bank
(Bloomberg) -- The Dutch government appointed Olaf Sleijpen to head the central bank. Sleijpen, currently a member of the institution's executive board, will start his seven-year term on July 1. He'll succeed Klaas Knot, who led the central bank for 14 years and couldn't stand for another period. King Willem Alexander is set to officially sign his appointment by royal decree. 'Sleijpen is an authority at the nexus of monetary policy, financial stability and European cooperation,' Martin van Rijn, chairman of the central bank's supervisory board, said in a statement. 'We are confident that he will lead the central bank with authority and vision during a period of complex economic and societal transitions.' Sleijpen, 54, will take on a role that carries a seat on the European Central Bank's interest rate-setting panel, where Knot has been one of the more hawkish members. Sleijpen has already attended some ECB meetings, according to accounts of them. The appointment is part of a major personnel shakeup at the ECB, with Knot one of seven heads of the euro zone's 20 central banks whose terms expire this year. The changes come amid a spate of reductions in borrowing costs as inflation heads back to 2% and officials fret over the economic fallout from US President Donald Trump's trade policies. As the Governing Council's longest-servicing member, Knot was one of the ECB's most influential policymakers. He's considered a possible contender to succeed Christine Lagarde when her non-renewable eight-year term as president ends in late 2027. --With assistance from Katharina Rosskopf and Dasha Afanasieva.
