Korra Energi to build $1mln hybrid solar plant in Egypt
Egypt - Korra for Energy & Investment Projects has signed a new contract to build a 1.4-megawatt (MW) hybrid solar power plant for the Esh El Mallaha Petroleum Company (Eshpetco), according to a press release. Being the first of its kind in Egypt's energy sector, the project will cost $1 million, reflecting Korra's commitment to delivering innovative solutions that expand clean energy use and boost energy efficiency. Meanwhile, the solar facility will produce clean electricity on-site and feed it directly into the operations at Eshpetco, covering a portion of its power load sustainably. The project aligns with the company's objectives to reduce its reliance on the national grid, lower operating costs, and back its commitment to environmental sustainability standards. It will also be integrated with Korra's existing Flare Gas Recovery (FGR) project, which generates 3.5 MW. They will create an advanced hybrid setup providing dual clean energy sources. This integration is expected to deliver high operational value by enhancing power reliability and upgrading power quality to meet world-class standards. In this regard, the hybrid system enables Eshpetco to run the solar plant in parallel with generators powered by recovered flare gas, offering flexibility in managing electrical loads across the entire site. The generated power can be distributed throughout various site units by deploying a smart switchgear system that efficiently synchronizes the solar power, recovered gas, and national grid supply. This multi-source approach gives the site unprecedented control over its energy mix, instead of being limited to supplying one fixed area. Furthermore, the hybrid model enhances energy management day and night, allowing the client to adjust and switch between sources based on real-time operational needs. © 2025 All Rights Reserved Arab Finance For Information Technology Provided by SyndiGate Media Inc. 'Avatar: Seven Havens' first look reveals the next earthbending Avatar
A Comic-Con panel revealed the first image of the Avatar, her mentor, and her animal companion. Meet the new Avatar. Avatar: Seven Havens, the next sequel series in Nickelodeon's kid-friendly animated fantasy franchise, revealed a first look out of a panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego on Thursday. The image reveals the Avatar who will follow Korra, the waterbending Avatar from The Legend of Korra. This new Avatar, capable of commanding all four natural elements (earth, air, fire, water), was born an earthbender. And in this timeline, she's considered humanity's destroyer, not its savior." According to a previously released show description, Avatar: Seven Havens "is set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm. A young earthbender discovers she's the new Avatar after Korra — but in this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity's destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization's last strongholds collapse." The first-look image also reveals her mentor, who appears to be wearing airbender colors. And because every Avatar needs an animal companion, we also get that reveal of this unnamed earthbender's four-legged friend. The initial 26 episodes will be split into two seasons, known as Book 1 and Book 2. Each will consist of 13 half-hour episodes. Original series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, who made both Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, are back, spearheading Avatar: Seven Havens. "When we created the original series, we never imagined we'd still be expanding the world decades later," they said in a previous joint statement. "This new incarnation of the Avatarverse is full of fantasy, mystery, and a whole new cast of amazing characters. Get ready to take another epic and emotional adventure!" Casting information and a premiere date will be revealed at a later time. Paramount is also developing the first Avatar animated movie, about Avatar Aang as an adult. That project is scheduled to release in theaters on Jan. 30, 2026, with a voice cast that includes Dave Bautista, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten, Román Zaragoza, and newcomer Eric Nam. How Rafael Devers drama could have been avoided
How Rafael Devers drama could have been avoided | Baseball Bar-B-Cast During Yahoo Sports' 'Baseball Bar-B-Cast' podcast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman are joined by former outfielder and current TV analyst Ryan Spilborghs to discuss the disgruntled Red Sox designated hitter. Catch Ryan on 'Friday Night Baseball' coverage on Apple TV+, where fans can enjoy two marquee matchups every week. View more Video Transcript We are now very excited to welcome in one of our good friends in this here baseball media industry. Advertisement You can see him on Apple TV plus this Friday night baseball. He played baseball for the Colorado Rockies for quite some time, and he is our friend. His name is Ryan Spielberg. Spiy, welcome to baseball, Robert Cas. Hi guys. Yeah, sorry, I don't have my makeup on, a little bit of a red eye flight last night. We're not going to talk about playing etiquette, um, but we are going to talk about etiquette. On this segment here with Ryan Spielbergs, as the biggest news in the baseball world was that Rafael Devers spoke to the media and said, no thank you, I do not want to play first base. Now, what do you make of this entire situation? Advertisement It was preventable. I think this was really poorly communicated from the front office to Davors to begin with. For a player like Devs. Where the metrics defensively, there's no argument, you cannot argue that you're a plus defender. You're not. He's the bottom of baseball at third base in outs above average, defensive run saved, every single defensive metric, the eye test, like everything. There, there isn't one that says, you know what, you should continue to play third base. This to me was a front office that that didn't tell him early, right? It should have been at the end of the year when the season was over. Advertisement Before Alex Bregman rumors, before anything. Raffi, we're gonna start, we want you to train this offseason, working at first base. We want you to be a little bit more mobile here. This is where we want you to grow comfortable. We understand we have trusting Costa here too, but you have a massive contract. We want you to be able to have this in your bag. The manager has to keep the room. If the manager says, you don't need your glove anymore, let's just focus on the DH, um, that's his word. He told him. He sat in an office with him and was like, listen, let's, let's not worry about it this year. You're our DH just go, go ahead, figure this thing out. Advertisement Now you're, you're asking the manager to go back on it, which that's part of like creating a, a chemistry and an environment of the team. And if you break that, you start, I mean, Dever starts talking, right? Turns into this like negative cancer in the clubhouse. Well, what is Korra gonna do here? Korra is, is principle based. He is gonna stick it, if, if he thinks this is the best way to do it, he communicates it and then that's, that's what happens. So you can't come in for the front office to go, hey, we need him to come play first base. No. I think Alex Cora is a huge part of this this too, because you just mentioned that that could be part of the breakdown, but what is so compelling about this whole narrative, and this goes back to the offseason too, is there seems to be a lack of alignment just between Breslow and Cora. Advertisement Cora has thus far stood up for Ray said, no, he is my. He is, this is, I'm not gonna think about. He even said before all this stuff came out from off yesterday, he said it would be unfair to ask him to do that. That seems to be a reflection of Cora being on the same page and understanding what his player wants. For now, uh, Spily, we appreciate your perspective. You can watch Billy on Apple TV plus Friday Night Baseball. Definitely check that out. Um, but otherwise, uh, thank you, thank you, Mr. Spielbergs. I think this was, this was pretty fun.
