Mothers of int'l, nat'l players honoured with Jijamata award
Kanpur: Mothers of 17 international and national level players and 6 coaches were felicitated with Jija Mata honour by Krida Bharti Kanpur at the BNSD Shiksha Niketan School auditorium on Sunday.
The mothers of international cricketer Kuldeep Yadav, Jyoti Shukla, former captain of Indian handball team, international TT players Geeta Tandon, Prachi Pandey Para TT player, national TT champion Abhishek Yadav, Satyam Giri Gupta, Vidushi Mishra (Badminton), Shardul Kandarp Khatri, Aaral Dwivedi (Badminton), Utkarsh Dixit, Tanjya Jha (Yoga), Kush Chaturvedi (Powerlifting), Krishna Agarwal special child and coaches Kapil Pandey, Neelam Gupta, Sanjay Pal, Satyendra Yadav and Ashish Goud (all coaches) were felicitated in the function.
Chief guest Ramesh Awasthi, MP, felicitated the mothers of players and coaches. Earlier, he along with Anil Oak, Sanjeev Pathak and Neetu Singh inaugurated the function by lighting a lamp.
The chief guest in his address said that those mothers who were not sports persons but created values among them were being honoured with Jijamata award this day.
The members of the Yoga Association presented a yoga programme on this occasion. Ashutosh Satyam Jha conducted the programme. Keshav Dwivedi, Rakesh Ram Tripathi, Arun Dubey, Saurabh Srivastava were present on this occasion.
